The season is really already changing to Fall here....the plants are beginning to beg me just to leave them the heck alone and let them go dormant, LOL! My canna's are still blooming, but crying for me to just cut them down and let them sleep....stalks and leaves are going brown...It's just that time of year. I wander around the yard, but really there is not much to do. I have nothing in pots but a few Tropical Hibs.....My entire yard is planted perinneals....I won't have the money for hubby to wire up the new lights and the shed for a week or more. Of course I do need pots for all my Brug cuttings and more potting soil. What do you all use to fertilize your Brug cuttings once you get them in pots, and how often?

Sandy... pretty pics.. One time in TN I counted 117 geese on our pond!! WOW it was amazing, and sad that they mate for life!! several were "alone" Wish the humans would be more like some animals.. even though I too have been divorced!! OBTW.... when you least expect it.. we're kinda like Candid Camera.. cept we don't use cameras..LOL.. got a fresh batch of wet noodles too... so I am on the prowl...lololol

DARN IT. GOT 30 PLANTED, UNDER A HEAT LAMP, WITH A HEAT PAD UNDER THEM. THE CERTAINLY WON'T NEED MORE HEAT. LOL WELL, SO MUCH FOR THAT. I RECIEVED MY ORANGE TREE BY UPS THIS AM. ABOUT 4 FT TALL AND IS OF FRUITING AGE, MMMMMMMMMM
. NOW FOR THE BAD NEWS. MY DAUGHTER (KIM, WHICH LIVES IN ONE OF MY HOUSES BEHIND ME) HAD THIS WENEE DOG WHIC SHE DEARLY LOVED AND IT JUMPED FROM HER DH'S LAP TO THE FLOOR AND RUPTURED A DISK MIN ITS BACK. THEY HAD TO PUT IT TO SLEEP THIS MORNING. HASN'T BEEN TOO HAPPY AROUND HER TODAY. MAYBE TOMARROW WILL B BETTER.

Becky I would appreciate any pots you might have to spare if you could bring them to the RU....Some of my cuttings are feeling rather slimy, but the water is still bubbling so I'm not worried about them rotting.
I want to ask you all to pray for a family tonight. I have been very upset all day. A friend of mine from high school's son (26) with a young wife and daughter was shot in the head and killed last Friday at his car dealership by a robber. They just buried the boy this past week, and my friend (his father) fell over dead today with a heart attack in his office. He was only 53. What a horrible tragedy for this dear family to deal with all in one week. I have just been sick about it today. The son was James Jason Lade and the father was James Lade. I have no doubt that grief contributed to his death.....Thanks for letting me share with ya'll...........
That is so sad Karen....yes I wil pray for them, such a tragic story.
Thanks Kim....I know that ya'll don't know these people and guess this might not be the right thing to share, but I just feel so badly for them. I know that God is with them...It's the tragedy of them both in one week that has me so shocked!

Haha Kim, you should see my little Meyer Lemon, it is like Charlie Brown's Christmas tree! It was but a twig when I got it at the June RU, but I must say it has added about 4 leaves since. Doubt I will ever see a lemon out of it either....Nice trees Wolfie!

BTW.. if the cuttings are kinda slimy, you might need to change out the water. I would think even though you have the bubbler.. the cuttings could still rot... I'll see what I have of the pots and share with you!!

Karen I am so sorry to hear about your friend's family. What a devastation for them! I will remember them in my prayers and hope that their grief can be balanced by their love for them. I have been through loss twice in less than six months, so I know how it can change your life forever.
I am ready! Been cuttin and collecting all day and now I am baking a cake to take. Hubby is working on packing the car with all the plants I want to take. Bless his heart he did not even flinch when he saw it! I think he is grateful to get rid of some of it lol.

And thanks again for offering some pots. I am sad to tell you that the Loquat did, officially, bite the dust. I'll bet if you asked them Ken and Maggi have another they'd give you. I lost 2 wonderful plants in a strange way to Ike, I think. Maybe barometric pressure or something. Your loquat and my avacado tree were THRIVING after being re-potted, putting out new leaves and growing taller. They were not in transplant shock, they'd been potted for weeks and doing great. When Ike came through, within 2 days, all leaves on both withered, browned and died and then the stalks died. I was so proud of that little avacado tree...Catlady Pam gave it to me at the last RU.
Haha, Louise, you think he's happy to be getting rid of what he's packing? ROTF, just wait until he has to pack the car with what you will be bringing home with you!!! That's when he's bound to get cranky, haha
