Adelbertcat, I recall seeing a documentary on Dippers about twenty years ago.  What fascinating, strong little birds they are.  Lucky you seeing them.  Did you see them enter the stream?

I love your pictures Claypa. Isn't it exciting to see these proud birds? We have them here most of the year and I always feel so privileged to just watch them. Have you seen the Golden Eagles too? We have them here, but I've never seen one.

This is one of my favorite photos. Those talons look fierce.

MargaretK...................These didn't go under the water, but where I grew up there were a lot of Dippers and I was able to watch them feed. The first time I saw a dipper go under the water I thought that it had fell in, then I saw it surface and go back under again and realized that it was doing ths on purpose.
