Hey, Phyllis, you know that catmint is not the same as other mints? It's in the same family, but it's not edible or anything. On the other hand, it's much better behaved. The main reasons to grow it are that a) it fills in a bed really fast, and b) the bees and butterflies just swarm to it, and, oh, yeah :), c) it's really pretty in the spring.
it's also considered a good companion plant for rose bushes LOL
LOL--okay, four reasons. Well, I don't have many roses, and my catmint is not planted near the ones I do have, so I can't attest to that. But I do appreciate it in the spring when it's covered with flowers and bees.
It's fragrant too. I always forget that part, because I don't like the smell of mint. But if you do like it, it's got it.
Sure you don't want the lemon bacopa too? Such a cute little thing... :)
LOL sure am trying to fill in around the roses some and then DH has suggested I make a walk way to the rose garden and line it with flowers too ...hahahaha

Yes, you can both have the lemon bacopa--I have plenty. But you DO both realize it's a water plant? I've never tried to grow it in the ground, so I don't know if it will make it.
Well, since I don't have water for it, guess I will pass on it.

I was looking at my plants...briefly, as it started raining. Not sure if I have enough monarda, some of them didn't root...I may have to bring cuttings.

BTW Mom should be getting out of hospital on Thursday. I am heading up there on Friday and staying until Monday. I have started tutoring (also cutting in Dave time) and need to be back by Monday 5 PM. Thanks for everyone's support.
