I would love to try the seeds Tana.
North Central Texas Fall Roundup Trade Thread #3
Okay Sheila, I will bring some of the seeds. Tr
Tan, I would love to have some of the seeds from the blue shrimp plant please.
Charlene
Hello Charlene, I will throw you in a pack too. No problem. Tr
banana....I will try and root some for you too.
Just FYI....I will be hit and miss this week as we are doing a large tissue collection and I have a lot to do in preparation as well as processing after the samples are collected. So if I don't get back to you on something, please be patient with me.
:) Kim
Okay, the columbine seeds are not taking very well, so I'll bring seeds for those who want them. I'm still trying, but not making any promises on actually having tiny plants.
Let me check and see how many plants I have right now and I will post tomorrow. They didn't fair too well in pots this season due to all the heat but I still have a few. They will be mixed colors. Tr
cocoa_lulu, I have some oxeye daisy plants if you want.
It's yours. Do you want Becky Shasta daisy too? That stays evergreen and blooms later.
Yes please. I remember noting it was a nice plant in one of the threads. Thanks for reminding me.
I am glad my kids are grown. I have one twenty year old granddaughter that is already married. Been there, done that! I'll pray for you!
Hormones are raging and all sense of logic has left the building at age 16. Of course if you say no, it could get even worse. If you say yes, it could get worse also. Just trust that you have done a good job preparing for this time.
Charlene

I understood, it was just the last note; and your confindence in saying it!
Let's not hijacking the thread....lol...
Back to plant trades now......
Debnes....I will dmail you.
Thx Sheila!
Deb, I added your list to the top of this thread, also how many will be attending from your house?
Josephine.
Not sure yet Josephine... Depends on how many plants I am receiving for the school at the swap. If I get a lot, we will need to bring both trucks (suvs), and in that case there will definitely be 5 from our family. I asked my cousin to come and meet the DG family as well. I will let you know if she's coming and how many of them as soon as I find out.
TY!
Debnes
Ok, I spoke to my cousin Terri, and she will be coming alone to meet us there. So that makes 6 of us all together. (Kevin, Myself, Jackie, Kirby, Benjamin and Terri.)
Hi,
I have just agreed to tend a small butterfly/hummingbird garden at my daughter's preschool. See this thread for a description of what is already there:
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/909694/
The garden needs to be safe for small children, and low maintenance/drought tolerant. I already know of a few plants that I am going to take out, and need some replacements. I'd appreciate anything that anyone can bring that would meet these criteria.
Thanks!
Dennis
Hey all, I've been taking a bit of a break (concentrating on my teenagers) and am going to try to make it to the RU. I won't be bringing any plants, but will bring my seed box.
And Sandi's seed box is something to see! Yea, Sandi!!
I would like to ask those who have trades with me, to please send me a d-mail reminding me...I am afraid to miss anyone. I have been trying to keep up but....so send me a reminder, please??
Okay does anyone need any Crimson Pirate or Siloam June Bug Daylilies. I have a nice large clump of each dug and if anyone wants them, please let me know and I will pot them up to bring with. Tanarae
Tanarae, I'd love to have some of your daylilies if you don't mind.
Okay Sandi, no problem. Will put your name on a nice division of each one. Tanarae
Tanarae, I would love the June Bug please. I have the perfect place for it.
By the way, I am very proud that I was able to root a division of coral berry. So far so good.
Oh hey that is great on that coral berry. Very excited about that one. Will pot up a nice division of june bug for ya too. It is a pretty little thing. Tr
Looking forward to meet you and your goodies.
Well I will be hoping I don't dissappoint anyone, lol. I will also have some noid daylilies that I will be potting up to bring. I will have some other named ones to trade as well but I haven't decided which ones yet. Getting close, so I will have to do that soon. Tr
Tanarae, you can't disappoint anyone! Even if the plants don't always cooperate, the best part of the RUs is getting to meet folks in person. :)
Yeah I know you are right. That is sweet. This was such an awful year for plants that they don't all look their best. I hate that. They are all recovering nicely though so maybe by then they will have on their sunday best, lol. I am so looking forward to meeting other gardeners in my area even if I am a bit sw of the metroplex. Tr
Yeah, you are, and it's a bit of a drive for you. Glad you're willing to make it!
By the way, we go to the LJT music festival in Stephenville every April. Sometimes we drive home through Granbury instead of taking 20 back to Ft Worth. I always see all these cool-looking yard art places that I want to stop at. Do you have any recommendations?
Well it's not that far, lol. About an hour from here maybe an hour and 15 minutes depending on traffic. The best place is out on 377 just north of town called For the birds or something but the guy is kinda flaky and it is hard to catch him there but worth a stop. Now if you come down in april you will have to stop by and see my tiny little nursery. I am only 1 block off 377 right where 144 crosses it so it is on your way, lol. I don't have much yard art as my space is limited but I do carry a bit of Talavera pottery and some other mexican pottery for decoration.
Wall hanging stuff and things like that. Now you be sure and come see me here. Tr
I will!
I think I've given away everything but my woolly stemodia. I planted it for the first time this year, and it has been quite pretty and hardy. Has anyone had any good or bad experiences with it? My only concern is whether or not it will end up being invasive...
Dennis
