I was up at 3 30 am Sunday morning and worked all day unloading birds, chasing kids, chasing loose birds. When I did finally lay down I died. All I can say is the CF made me do it.
Chicken slave I am.
Nother Hunky Roo...Chat-a-Doodle-Doo #6
hoenslty i really do have othe rhtings on my mind. how else could i have not seen that so many chicks were gone right away? really, grownut, growup! got a corner to stand in? LOL
That must account for the inability to remember how you came by that many birds...You know how much I wanted to not worry? But you just can't DO that with Tf's place OR that many birds....(Think back on those good ol' timey lectures) If I EVER catch you doing that again, Young Lady, you are going to wish you hsd never been BORN! wait 'til your FATHER hears about this!!
edited to add Young LadIES!

reember tia has the CRS syndrome... as for me, can i plead temporary stress? OK, maybe i should be the one to stand inthe corner. just can't believe you fell for it...
You had a garage sale, didn't you. I thought maybe the family had gone to town after and your neighbor had gone hog wild. It NEVER occurred to me that nice people like Tia would take 160 birds. It would be easy to clean my place out totally while I was in town getting groceries. My first thought was actually some malicious informant to animal control or sumpin'.
As I said, it WAS suspicious of you, but hard to assume it was a joke after all you've been through!!
I'm fine now that I've stumped and harrrumphed a bit.(edited to add) And it was more that I couldn't totally disbelieve it. Suspended disbelief, sts. Poison slinging neighbor. Chickens as dog food. 2 different nasty neighbors. ..
You'd been talking about getting everybody in their containers (nice, easy to transport containers). And you've been very very stressed out...

he he he again I say the CF made me do it.
A mere hired henchwoman, huh? Had to have been fun...
Hey so this was all a joke? I'm with Grow we all love our birds and are very concerned when others have something go wrong. I don't know where anyone lives or their set up for their birds and it is at least assumeble by us that it could have happened. My firend had his birds stole out of his yard while he was a sleep stole all his show bantams and he was devastated by this. I don't find this funny.....At All
They've been thoroughly chewed out, Har. I know, having done it. Thought they had left a highly visible trail of hint droppings; and were too busy, tired, and gleeful to notice that they hadn't been immediately found out. (Done it myself before and it was AWFUL)
Request your assistance in the highly likely event that sanctions are taken against these two Calamity Janes. Suggest absconding with several blue, splash and whatever bantams you may covet. That'll teach 'em. Unless they give them to us first. I suspect this actually has more to do with the logistics of Chickenstock than anything else. I'd thought to save further sanctions until we saw how much they'd grovel...
well it is official, his name is Mr Bo Jangles.
Sorry all really it was not ment to upset anyone. Would have thought that you would know if it was really something bad that you would have know that Tamara would have been more livid. Really it was not ment to get anyone feathers ruffled. Please forgive us. Tamara needed to get them birds out of harms way and very quickly. I truly understand why now, these are some REAL BEAUTIFUL birds. And so very kind and loving. They have already adapted to me. They have only been here 3 days now.
Chicken slave I am.
Those of us who didn't know were devastated, hurt and praying, etc. I'm not thrilled in the least either.
It was really weird, but with things the way they are nowadays, ya never know. I feel stupid for being so upset now!
Oh please please please dont feel stupid. We are truly sorry to worry every one. Hey that means you guys are real family and just want the best for all of us. Thanks all for your worries and prayers. they were answered in a way now that her birds are very very very safe from any kind of harm. PLEASE can I come out of the corner now. I promise not to misbehave anymore.
Hugs from the chicken slave.
Thank you ZZ i feel our feelings for our fellow chicken people were not taken into account on this JOKE we joke about tangerine Ellie's and Smore missions and it's fun this was not fun and i'm sorry if like me you got duped and i fell stupid too.
Once bitten twice shy....
No hard feelings.
No Hard feelings here Just how about not jokeing about serious stuff "OKAY"
Don't feel stupid, Har. Like I said, Tam's neighbor is unbelievable from first to last, and yet HE seems to be unfortunately real. (And if ya say how ya pumped him fulla buckshot I might believe that too!!)
Please don't feel stupid. I fell for it and was very worried as well, but I don't feel stupid.
If TF felt the urgent need to relocate ONE-HUNDRED AND FIFTY-EIGHT (holy chook, I couldn't imagine having that many birds - I'm on the other side of the addiction spectrum still) then she must still be very much in need of our kind thoughts and prayers.
{{{hugs to all}}}
Kristin
I agree either way you look at it she still lost her birds. Still feelin for you TF!
Thanks for the WakeUP LazyL.
Too true!!
Well, to be honest, part of the feeling stupid is cause I have the choice to carry worries through my day.. If I choose to keep it with me and worry.. or stress.. THAT is my choice, I have had to work on not being over emotional all my life.. it's just me.
I am working on letting things be what they are and leaving them where they are. LOL I tend to take it with me.. even worries that serve no purpose.. so don't think it was that bad.. it was partly just who I am. I share too much of me more often than not.. LOL
Oh ZZ me too i think we all have to much on our plates and sometimes it is these chickens.(sorry ladys but we do over do)
don't have time to catch up, but you can keep praying. the neighbor intends to spray again, in case you don't know, he killed nearly two hundred baby chickens. i have more to move and am running out of resources to move them with. what he is using is not safe for birds. or goats. they are gone too.
i would rather miss my birds then have them dying on me again. how many of you would like to tned to care for, medicate hundreds of birds while caring for your sick self and children, only to still have most of the birds die or be blind?
knowing they are safe and well cared for helps me sleep at night.
yep, keep pryaing. love y'all.
Tamara whats he spraying?
Knew sumpin' stunk...
Wow.. didn't know all that! I tend to "speed read" and miss a lot.. or I just miss it all together!
I'm so sorry that is happening to you Tamara.. Sounds like a nightmare.
Oooooooh, dorking hatching eggs on eggbid.com.....
*SMACK* CMOXON!!!
I didn't BID on them! I just thought someone else might be interested. Grin.
waiting for CF to bring me white sikie eggs
a cochin, mes thinks
i definately know its a chicken
lol gee thanks. Was pretty sure about the chicken part and possible cochin. I have 2 possible roo's.
she kinda looks like jezebell, my cochin bantam
I am sure HE came from the bantam order. DH just loves HIM.
i love my cochins. they are so sweet. wally has a sore foot. i looked and it looks like he has something in it. it is on the bottom. i might take him to the vet
Is there any recourse for Tf? What are the laws in Texas?
Patchouli, I really don't think we should try to have tf arrested. Maybe fined. It certainly will go on her permanent record:0)
Moxon--I saw the Dorkings too. Sigh.
How is jordankittyjo's Wally? Please see CMOXON's thread on foot problems for help.
