Fritch, TX(Zone 6b)

oh yeah. i have blues JGs... only turning loose of roos though... four and a half months old right now.

Clarkson, KY

Want one. I. Want. One. Please TF?

Does Cmdr. Williams have dibs?

Lodi, United States

I strongly advise against dibs--they run all over and spill grain. And they frighten the horses.

Clarkson, KY

< < < Am I a dib? > > >............ < < < Is it contageous? > > >

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Oh dear! The dreaded dibs! Don't let them get near my incubators! Somebody quarantine Cmdr Williams if she has the dreaded dibs!

Fritch, TX(Zone 6b)

Clarkson, KY

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Lodi, United States

Hey, ZZ! Robinson's has barred Rock chicks and I can tell the pullets from the roos by their head spots. There are about 50 roos to every pullet. Must be straight run! Wanna go over and sex chicks tomorrow?

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Sure.. LOL I've watched them grow for 3 weeks.. I didn't see any that didn't have a big spot.. dontcha know they would already be in my yard? LOL Nah, just kidding. I didn't pay that much attention.

I'm on a mission to get eggs next week.. I'm so scared.. if it's as addicting as it sounds.. I'm in big trouble.

It's gonna be top ramen and koolaide for a couple of weeks.. I'm weak.

Fritch, TX(Zone 6b)

whoa ya'll i did so good todya. ready for Big garage sale AND started banding chicks that are coming to MO.

Airplane, Aeroplane LIKES being flipped, and can't decide his sex. but would prefer to be called AeroSmith, as he is very consciencious about his wings. And he turned up Blue #13.

so far frizzled cochins are flipping mostly females and polish mostly males. one golden lace dpolished liked the flip so well, he stretched out hiw wings to take a nap...

the CF would be proud, if only she would acknowledge me. still no response from pleas, cries, emails, dmails, etc...

Lodi, United States

CF, please take pity on your servant tf! Answer her pleas. She has been very devout in your service. We will all vouch for her. PLEASE!

Clarksburg, MO

No Blue Roo for me. Not until I have blue hens. Can't feed a man who has no girlfriends to help him earn his keep.

Fritch, TX(Zone 6b)

hi, jus tchecking in to report, it appears someone or something SNATCHED 158 chicks and chickens from my flock! the place isn't empty, but it is pretty bare without them. if anyone sees a CF driving a white truck, a load of chickens was spotted heading east out of Pampa early this morning...

tf

Clarkson, KY

I'd be checking for tracks...

Lodi, United States

I would NOT stay in a community of chicken thieves. Get the heck out of Dodge!

(Zone 7b)

Tamara i may be of some help i know thieves cross state lines. Do you have any idea of Vehicle or person involved. I can look out at the chicken sale i go to and see if any turn up there?
What type of chicks/chickens are missing so i can know what to look for?

Sugar Valley, GA(Zone 7b)

TF... Will you please answer Harmonys question on this thread when you get a minute... http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/903774/

I smell your neighbor involved in this latest fiasco....and not the dogs either...

Clarkson, KY

It's a pretty pervasive odor too, ain't it Genrul?!

Sugar Valley, GA(Zone 7b)

It abso-toot-ly REEKS Major Nut...

Lodi, United States

Is that what I've been smelling? I thought I needed to abandon the deep litter method.

(Zone 7b)

I can smell it clear over here in Ga. Yep Dusty i think your right

Vancouver, WA(Zone 8a)

Seriously??? I thought it was my compost!

Sugar Valley, GA(Zone 7b)

Nope... it is TFs Neighbor...the problem issue...Has been for awhile now...

I just took a shower so I know it ain't me!!! ^_^

Have a great day tomorrow...I'm off to bed...have to be up at 3am again...

Harmony, try to be patient with TF...She has alot on her plate right at the moment, chickens are the least of it... ;-)

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Fritch, TX(Zone 6b)

Ah! It was the CF! Of course, why didn't we think of that? No one but the CF could remove so many chickens without leaving a trace. I wonder if tf has done something to displease her? Or perhaps the IMMENSE and INSRCUTABLE CF has something new in mind for her High and Most Deserving Representative, tf?

i htink i need a CF zapper. before she gets the rest of my birds.

any more sightings?

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

Oh my goodness, that is really odd Tamara. Well I guess my good news would cause you much pain. Wow was I tired last night, I made trip after trip to the coop yesterday, got 2 eggs from the girls in the Turkey pen. Got 1 egg from the OEG, it is so cute and tiny. Got one egg from a mystery chicken in the one haven in the bottom level, that has the miss. mixture, a little lite brown egg. Will be egg hunting today.

I climbed into the turkey pen and was crawling into the A-frame shelter and was digging thru bedding to find them 2 white eggs, them birds were so gentle and so nice, they cooed at me and talked to me. I am in love. I had a few birds that would not go up last night and they roosted on my fire wood and the white crested roo roosted on my cattle panel fence, you should have see 2 of them try to roost on it and do the balancing act. My neice was here today and she named him Sid. Her name is Sydney. I promise I will have more stories to tell. Oh yea the ducks went into the big pond they LOVED it. They slept right under my bedroom window. I have truly found my piece of heaven for sure.

I am so sorry to hear that the CF took alot of your birds, the people that delivered my new birds did have a slight flightyness to them and they did glow abit. I wonder. Do you think?

Clarkson, KY

Tf's missing 158...
