And Karen TY. Yes the ^8^ is an angel. I started that when I only had 1 DGD she is Angel Pus and the youngest is Pumpkin Pus. ((l)) I guess I will have to make a little pumpkin too. Just saw I can make a pumpkin too. So watch for Sandy ^8^ ((l)). That will be me and both girls. :o) Also recently a couple DGers have referred to me as ^Sandy^.
I thought how precious. And one was in Dmail and one on a thread. They had no idea the other one had done it.

There is no option to babysit as you can read in the prayer forum under codependent ll and the thread I started what my son did to me. There is no room for him here anymore. I know how horrid that sounds but ,,,,, well without reading it he ran my credit cards up behind my back and stole anything that was worth anything as I let him live here through his divorce. Then after I told him to move 2 months later he went to a county judge here in Chambers Co and swore under oath I was homicidal and suicidal and a warrant was issued and I was taken to a mental hosp. in Beaumont. I was only there 22 hours as they could tell I was no such thing. But not an experience a mother should ever have come from her (only) child or any child. Part of me died and I will not allow him to do me that way again. My girls have me embedded in their hearts. They will look for me when old enough. I know they are not lost just a little out of reach. But not forever.

I "HAVE to have Black eye Susan vine and Spanish Eyes. Hopefully very soon...lol (hint..hint) And I "HAVE" to have some daturas and every Hibiscus ever lived and......I have a bad addiction. I hope no one ever starts a Plant Alcoholics Anonymous because I will refuse to come out of denial.. ;o) Not one No No No Not little ole' me (blushing) Oh and did I mention Brugs??*blush* *snicker* *blush*

Sandy my best friend here is Sandi. We have been friends over 25 yrs and no she is not addicted to plants. But I am sandy with a "y" and she is Sandi with an "i" We have some funny stories we could tell about that. I told a lady once to put her on my Credit Card as I was going to be out of town "She is my Sister, My Mom had no imagination" had to think fast. We laughed so hard. How silly girls can be even at 27 and still at 53. Hope to here you are home soon with your GDG and with good news. I hate when little ones are sick. I would rather be sick myself. I have had staph 4 times in 3 yrs. It is not fun. And yes ask the doctor about probiotics for her. It puts back the good bacteria that antibiotics kill. And it is the antibiotics that cause a yeast infection. If at all possible even for 15 min at a time to leave her diaper off. Yeast loves wet dark places. On my how horrible she has to feel. What little angel. Kiss her for me.

I will have to remember each post as I have so many things to say to each of you but silly at 53 and juggling all this is mind boggling and I am one the first of many threads you all have been on. I do love it here already.

Caladiums4Less is a DGer and sells Caladiums. I learned so much from him. Dmail or call him he is so nice. Maybe I could ask him to pop in for a lesson on how to keep caladiums. You have to cut them up every yr or 2 to keep them from disintegrating. They grow big again. No wonder i never had any come back.

Send cool weather becky it is hot down here in zone 9b. Helppppp this hottie is melting.

Can't root a brug or grow one big very fast. I have one 4 yrs old and still 3 ft tall and no Y or buds, And probably no hope of it. GRRR

Becky how dare you repeat such a bad word. Should I get the vinegar? I read to use hot peppers on a little one for sassing as soap makes them sick. I thought hot peppers is cruel but it ends up my ((l)) loves hot sauce. So a drop of vinegar and no more sassing.
I could never tell her it is the same as pickle juice as it wouldn't work anymore...hehe

Hey Phila. Kim, How goes Hanna in your neck of the woods anyhow. It looks wet and wild on the weather channel. We had pretty stiff winds last night and then it rained quite heavy and has been sprinkling on and off here all day.Otherwise, the weather is decent in Northeast PA☺for now☺

Louise, spanish eyes, 2 seeds? Pleeeeeeeeeeease??? You can buy some nylon net at the fabric store and cut a piece, wire bread tie it around a spent bloom... or you could just wait till it starts setting them more... lol THAT is gorgeous! I've never heard or seen it.. I've tried storing caladiums in their pots... I didn't have very good success.. 1 of about 8 bulbs returned this spring.. I let the pot dry out, stored in the basement all winter. One lil plant is all I got. read on, tho, I do have a way that's been may 75-85% successful for me.. JOYCE---

WINTERING OVER Caladiums- AuntB's way: Soon, like tomorrow? I will bring all my caladium pots to my covered front porch... I won't water any more. The leaves will slump and dry up over the next few weeks... then I dig them out, remove spent foliage and dirt. I usually have a beer flat to toss them in or I've just bagged them up in plastic grocery bags (don't close them). I leave them out there for a few more days to dry... Then I take the bags to my basement and just store on a shelf. I try to keep them in a dimmer area or darkness. In early spring when I have cabin fever so bad, I pot them up in 4 - 6 in pots and put in my mini greenhouse or on a heat mat in front of south windows.. once the emerge, I pull them out of direct sun and they get an earlier start that way... they won't grow in cool soil, they like the warmth. That's just how I do it.. I hope it works for you if you try it that way... (more on your list I could offer a tip or 2 Joyce, little later, I'm on a roll with this catching up)

Louise, I forgot.. I'm lucky not to have stairs involved in bringing plants in, but it is a HUGE job...honestly, I wouldn't bring the lazy susan's in... MITE MAGNET... and morning glories are, too. I would just save yourself (if none of us get any, we'll wait till next year) save the seed and start indoors about 6 weeks before the last frost.. I've got some Passionvines, I can bring some cuttings to the ru.. then you can have some vines inside during winter.. some even bloom if you can provide enough light and warm temps. I still hope you get lots of seed from your Spanish Eyes, some of us can try them and maybe next year we'll ALL have seed to share. I'll have seed from the orangish blush one, I think... it's raining or I'd go look... it was new for me this year... I planted the white with dark eye in with Versi and they still haven't bloomed, but I don't think they get enough sun there.. just thought I'd try it to hide the bare limbs on the old girl. It's climbing the new 4-ft shoots, not the old trunk.. go figure! lol

Everyone thank you for the nice compliments, a friend of Drew's is taking his senior pics in my garden next weekend, he's amazed and wants a tropical look, I guess. He asked if I was going to plant those big trees (brugs in blue tubs) in the ground... didn't know I've been bringing them in for winter all these years... hmmmmm, maybe he can be a lift helper in a few weeks....

It must be an awful change for her to go through. I'm glad she's able to be close to your sister and it's a true blessing to have a loving family like you do, but you know that. Got behind on this thread - I'll catch up later - but Sandra D - My Dr told me that some people are more suseptible to thrush, yeast, etc. - Ph from meds etc- some just have a less acidic ph system - I'm one of them - takes very little to tip the scale- some people take acidopholus - I drink a little white vinegar in the am - if Amiyah likes yogurt - it might help - also helps to limit sweets - cause it "feeds" it - sometimes drs don't mention this - ask them -- hope she's feeling better -----I'll be back I probably won't be on for a few days - have a sinus infection from a bad tooth that was pulled-gonna take it easy

Kim, you have a nice castor one, mine is sooooooooooo tiny but it produced seedpods, lol. I love looking at it it reminds me of my tropical country! Do you know that when kids got the measles in my country, people were so naive, that the seed pods from this poisonous plant, well , they would cut them and make a chain out them and they would place them around the kid's neck, supposedly that would help n the healing process!

Ahhhhh those years over there, but I am happy here have a family and you guys!

hugs hotties. It is hard to catch up if you don't check in for awhile...lol. For tuberoses, I just pull them up cut off the stalks and put in a box for the winter. Dirt and all and they do great. I once tried to over winter some in the pot and they rotted. They can be over wintered in 40 ish temps too and not be bothered. Ok Bonnie I will take my caladiums out of the pots. I have some red button ginger I am going to try to keep growing this winter.

Re-read your post Kittylover, you poor dear. A tooth pulling pain and sinus infection?? That is enough to put you to bed rest for a few days... Sinus infections are yucky.. you take it easy and check in if you can... remember to drink lots of clear liquids and try to eat something.. Feel better..
