Garden Photos - Part 34

southern willamette , OR(Zone 7a)

Thanks DonnieBrooke. Don't worry, I keep a wash rag next to my computer screen when I'm looking the DG pictures as well!

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Nice marriage of sedum and mum, Louise. Do you pinch your sedums? Mine get floopy.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Thanks, Pixie! Here are some more sunflowers up close and personal!

Shelly - funny about the wash rag! LOL

Weez - I don't pinch my sedums generally. This is a new one I got for my birthday, so it's too young to need pinching. I have others that I probably should pinch.

That pic of the sunflowers I just posted looks like they are all lined up for recess! LOL

Dyane, nice pics. I love your brick stairway. I also like the pic of the BES and Helenium.

Venu, that does sound gross. I have a friend who had a similar experience with a stay cat that her kids found. It had a wound with maggots in it, and they cleaned it out really well. Left nice clean, pink flesh behind.

DonnieBrook, I love the sunflower picture.

Today I did a lot of weeding (what else is new). I have also started redoing a couple of gardens. One has daylilies in very sandy, dry soil, and the other has TB Irises in kind of heavy soil that holds water too well for them. So I am moving the daylilies to the iris bed and the irises to the daylily bed. This way they should all do much better. Can't wait to see how they look next year!

Ohhh, Dyane and how they smell so good(usually). DGD is crawling all over the place now. Just melts my heart when she crawls across the room to me to be picked up. And I am happy oblige.

Beautiful mums- especially Bonnie and Wilma.

Dyane, I'd like to get 'Mardi Gras'. The red one is 'Ruby Dwarf'. here's 'Red and Gold' with Salvia 'Victoria Blue' to cover it's bare knees. Very pretty entryway.

'morning, JoAnn. My sedum 'Mediovariegatum' isn't blooming yet. it's a really late one. I need to get more LOL That's a pretty one. Do you have a name? the baby moose video was the cutest thing ever. I have to send the link to my DGDs

pixie, more roses? hmmm, gotten to like them, have you? I have 2 new daylilies to plant this week, 'Mother Nature' and 'Bama Music'. 'Laura' is beautiful. must be very striking in the garden.

dragonfly, I like the ageratum. I didn't know there was a hardy one.

helene, 'Bonica' is a lovely rose. It looks so pretty with your bench.

Victor, nice to see a shot of part of your yard. I'm beginning to see how you fit in all of those plants. Wow!

Bill, nice sunflowers. I like the last one. I've been wanting to try a 'Teddy Bear' or something similar.

Clematis 'Liberation'. I have a very small plant started on my front lightpole. this is it's second bloom. It's normally pink with a cerise bar on the petals. This one is small and all cerise.

Thanks grampapa the sedum is Matrona I like the burgandy stems and bluegreen leaves. It's a nice companion to the Agastache around the corner of the house.

Cup & Saucer vine. I had to put up a 2nd support because it was crawling toward the pool. It's hard to see the purple flowers because the foliage is so red.

Thanks, Bev. I've always liked it and it's hard to find a splash of blue when you need it.

grampapa--Our 'Pat Austin' darkened over several yrs. It may be just a change of soil. Good to have it as own root. Our other Austin rose Pegasus is grafted.

I've been with FL friends--missed too much! Patti---try Jeana for an outstanding phlox--Victor---PM photos great! Red Chic--loved the scenery---Everyone else--very nice photos---my gardens are drooping from dryness & neglect---here is an angelonia that doesn't mind how I treat it!

ROS
I like this one, has a good blue tint.

I like it too Donna, it looks like mine, Bluebird. Mine was about 2 feet tall when I planted it 2 years ago, this year it grew about 2 feet, so I hope it still grows fast and will reach 6 feet in another year or 2.

South Coast, RI(Zone 6b)

Thanks Debi,
I think this is Blue Satin, just a little guy still in the container but I hope it grows for me. The buds are very blue, but as is opens it is a little more purple.

Edited to say, after checking plant files this looks more like Blue Bird than Blue Satin. I know I ordered Blue Satin but I like it anyway.
