Found out today, dont ask, it is NOT Tb it is Bronchitis. How the hell does one come to this. I am so stressed right now it is not even right. I will take mom to the airport and then who knows where I will wind up. I need to get away.
Missouri ChickenStock at Jacob's Cave.
Well bronchitis is way better than TB. Bronchitis is entirely curable and controllable. This should make you less stressed than TB. Much less.
Calgon needs to take you to Chickenstock Ti!! In a bubble filled Leer jet
I'm sorry luvs i feel for you my dad died of cancer a few years back and it was a very tireing and stressful he lived for 7 months and my mom had dimentia and couldn't help with his care it was all i could do to keep my sanity. I feel for you {{{{{HUG}}}}}
I do need calgon. I might maybe be able to make it May not be able to until friday night or sat morning. $$$$. I just do not know what I am going to do about the birds. I hope that I have the yard where they cant get out. We will see tomorrow.
Tia - hang in there! We'll see you if it's Saturday morning! Wish you could come visit me for a few days - you could use my big bubble tub and float away into la-la land for a while and forget all your worries. I always use too much bubble stuff in it and the bubbles go over the top and I almost get lost in it. Such fun - candles all around it and a glass of wine. I feel like a princess in there! LOL!
If you can make it Saturday morning, I'd like to take everyone to breakfast who is there. My treat. There must be a Dennys or something in the vicinity. Even if you can't come for the day, let's do breakfast.
Breakfast now your talkin. He he he. I will know more come wednesday.
No doubt, food will you get you everywhere, lol! It's good news that it's only Bronchitis. Don't know how they could have mistaken one for the other...... Oh well, at least one stresser that won't need stressing over.
Yea, I am thinking the caregiver is a bit on the Hype side. So long as I can get mom on the airplane safe and no stress is my concern now. Her and daddy use to go all the time and he passed 7 years ago this month the 15th and she has not been on a vacation since. She does deserve this. And to top it she gets to take her sister that she adores and I know they will have a great time. Now for my brother not sure how he is going to handle it. He will have a great time also. He hosted me and my daughter this past spring so I am sure he can host mom and my aunt.
HOLY CROW Sheila! I was just on BYC and saw you got that amazing box of 5 dozen plus eggs of all those amazing different breeds. I am soooooooooooooo envious! But then I thought to myself, gee, she will be getting those right around the time of chickenstock....maybe she wants to share....???!!!

Ha Ha HAAAAAAA! Yes the self chocolate polish are exciting aren't they. I am looking to get hopefully a trio of each for breeding. They should be here today or toommorrow. Let's see what I get and how many. I would be happy to share. You talked about bringing some chickens to the cave. What were you thinking about bringing?
Sheila
At the moment I have some approximately 10 week old barred rock crosses and some 4 week old barred rock crosses. Unfortunately I don't know what they were crossed to because the flock I got them from is completely mixed and there were 5 roosters and about 20 hens. I just picked up the eggs that 2 of the hens were setting on, but the eggs in each nest varied in color considerably, so not all the same parentage! I have two chicks about 10 days old that hatched from blue eggs and are supposed to be EEs but right now they both look pretty much white feathered. I could bring any of those. I got the EEs from a BYC egg deal. I could also bring a black serama hen (adult, laying), a creme brabanter roo or a partridge rock.
The rest of my flock are all mixed parentage, I have no idea how old they are, and I think quite a few are not laying any more so I don't want to bring those of course.

Hoorah Sheila!

Okay, Claire, I am going to sound like a total snot, BUT I am trying to stick to pure breeds for our hatchery. Terry said that he was sending them this morning. Should have them by Friday. Maybe we could swap something else or split the cost?
Sheila
I completely understand Sheila. I didn't expect you would want any of my mixes. I will be sticking to pure breeds too, from hereon out. The mixes I have are all from this small flock that we adopted and I didn't have the heart to toss the eggs that were being brooded, or the baby chicks that came with it. My only pure breeds are the seramas and the brabanter roo and the partridge rocks. I am hoping to get into frizzles and sizzles over time.
See what comes in the box and if you think you have any of those to spare, maybe we could buy some from you? Maybe $1.50 an egg or something like that?
Sounds good! We will see what we get when the box gets here!
Sheila
Claire "I will swap no eggs before its time."
