Snivel, whine, whinge. I wanna go to the chicken swap.

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Well then quit whining and get out a map!!! LOL....

Just kidding, I know it's a very long way for you. It would be awesome if we could all meet up, but some of us may have to be there in spirit rather than in body!

Clarksburg, MO

Tents are fine so is truck sleeping. Pretty much anything goes. You can cook, eat do what ever you want to here besides cause a lot of ruckus after quiet hours at night.

Sheila

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

No ruckus causin' here. We're too old for ruckuses. :-)

Clarksburg, MO

On a good night I can cause on, but I pay not only the next day, but the next week. I don't do it often any more because it takes to long to recover. LOL

Sheila

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

If anyone causes the ruckus, it's the chickens!!! LOL!!!

Rankin, IL(Zone 5a)

so funny you'd talk ruckus... been our annul ruckas weekend... family bon-fire.. sweetcorn festival (home of the Hoopeston Cornjerkers ya know) Not drinking just round-about ruckasing 3 am mornings... *yawn* and 6am to feed... one more party to go and a 3 hour drive to take neighbor kid back to college tonight... *yawn*

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

oh goodness, yep its true, you play you pay. It was a late night for me but not that late.

Rankin, IL(Zone 5a)

oh Tia, I wish it was just one night.. this has been going on since Friday... my entire house is trashed.. I can't keep up... I have made 5000 pots of coffee.. 10000 gallons of tea.. 20000 hotdogs..etc.. lol

BUT.. it is only once a year.. and fun is had by all..... and I do love it.. see people I don't get to see all year.. and we always say the same thing... hugs and don't wait so long to call... why on earth do we do that.. we truly enjoy each others company..

I think this trip will be a blast!! (Warning.. I tend to break out in song...for any reason)

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

lol I know what you mean, it sure is fun.

Yes this trip is fun, if I sing it will be because i am falling down drunk. I wont be singing.

Rankin, IL(Zone 5a)

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

Clarkson, KY

Clarksburg, MO

Tia -

Have you decided what chickens you are bringing and what song you are doing for a solo?? Just wanted to check in and also are you wanting to get cages from us?

Sheila

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

Yes I want to get cages and water thingy thingys. What else you have? Not sure as to the birds yet.

Foley, MO

Um, I'm a HUGE hippy. I looooove to cause a ruckas! I also love my wine. I'm actually seriously thinking about going. I bet I'd have a blast. I'm currently thinking about bringing my roos instead of eating them, however I'm not sure if that's really the best decision. Maybe I should just butcher 'em like always. I would love to come home with chicken breeds I don't have or some Pygmys. It would also be cool to meet some DGers. I'm young and mouthy, I hope noone would judge. Tf are you really coming?

Rankin, IL(Zone 5a)

oh patch.. lol we are all judges.. thats why we get along..haha.. just kidding

Tia, whats watery things??? you want I bring fish??

Clarkson, KY

Waterers isn't it? DD is over my shoulder now begging me to go. OoooOPS.

Pinot noir, Pinot blanc, Pinot grigio, Pinot gris...which type of Pinot do you like?

Fritch, TX(Zone 6b)

I'll bring Noir and Grigio. Two Grigios...

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Great start TF! I'll bring a Sauvignon Blanc and a Riesling.

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

Im sitting bt Claire with a longer straw. Yummy. I will bring the straws. I am getting so eggsited about this.

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

LOL! Who's bringing the eggs? LOLOL!!! Maybe we could do a marshmallow roast.

I think we should make a thread in the "Roundup" forum and call it the First Ever Dave's Poultry Roundup. Then we can post pix there later for everyone to see how much fun we poultry people have!

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

Okay maybe I won't be ale to hang with you guys, LOL. At least without an interpreter. I missed the words in the last posts.

I talk beer instead of wine. And prefer the colorado koolaid brand.

Sheila

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Sheila - I am bilingual - I can speak beer and wine. :-)

I have recently started enjoying that Bud Light with Lime. I also like the Michelob Tuscan Orange and Grapefruit beer. They have another one, I forget the flavor, but I saw it in the store and thought I should give it a try too.

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

I LOVE my beer. And I like the pink wine. I do not like white or red wine.

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

The pink wine is usually white zinfandel, which is nice and sweet, and if you like that, I bet I know a few white wines you will like that you have just never tried before. I'll bring one and if you don't like it the rest of us will drink it, but it is very similar to the pink stuff, and actually sweeter. :-)

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

I just dont like the dry stuff, I tried every single wine we got in Europe and only found the pink I liked. My brother would order fruity and not dry wine, well it was dry, i had cotton mouth most of the time until I got some of their good beer down me.

Clarksburg, MO

Tia-

You need to try some River Boat Red or Black Velvet. Both are red wines and so sweet you could use them on pancakes as syrup. My dad and I make homemade wine and will have to bring some. We have elderberry and peach right now. Both are really sweet and will knock your socks off. Think the last test showed 67 proof.
