Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Sorry, Becky... that video is a very touching story about a teenagers fight. She's such a lovely young lady.

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

mm wonder if you can save it to your computer and send it in an email to watch .....will have to check that out

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

I've tried many times to download UTUBE videos ... never been successful at it.
If you find a way... please share.

(Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)

I have Diabetes, and so does my husband. My Gfather died from complications as well, and my mother has it and is insulin dependant. It is an awful disease. Very touching video....

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I agree, the video is very nice. You can put me down for a donation.
Linda Kay

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

bummer nope can't what about mom sending you the file she used when she uploaded it?

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

I'll ask her... didn't even think about that... duh !!!

Karen... that little girl is doing all she can to get donations that just might find a cure to this horrible disease... I'm so sorry your family has been so plagued with diabetes...

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

All you have to do is click on the link above and once it opens, just go to the top left corner of the page and click on file, scroll down and click on send link by email. Just fill in the email part, and off it goes.
Linda Kay

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

But, then how do you get it to download onto your hard drive?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Ok, try this. go to you tube and do a search for junior diabetes, and you will see alist on the side of videos to click on. When you find the one you want to save, right click and save target as. That should work.
Let me know.

Ozone, AR(Zone 6a)

Hi there, I'm wondering if a displaced ETXan from ARK might drop in if i can get there that saturday. My DD and lots of other relatives live in Arp,Kilgore, and Longview. We raised our kids in Overton. Than moved to the mountains when we retired. It's nice to hear Frankston and Flint mentioned. Beleive we played Frankston in Sports.

I can bring a few plants to trade and a sugar Free desert for food. But will be iffy as i will go down to Longview Thursday and will really have to save money to make another trip. But sure would like to come.

Have a great day.
Vickie

Gilmer, TX

Sure we would welcome a former East Texan to our gathering, Vickie. In fact, we've let a couple slip in that never lived in East Texas. LOL We'll be looking for you.

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

OH Vickie by all means come on down!!!!!!!!!
Plants or no plants anyone is welcome to come you don't have to live in Texas to come we welcome from all states!!!

(Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)

Come on Vickie, we'd love to meet you!!!! I live in Frankston, and we've played Arp and Overton many many times over the years!

I know you live in a beautiful area, the mountains of Arkansas are the only thing that could move me away from East Texas. Just beautiful there. Hoping to see you there! Karen

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

They are letting this Okie in so I am sure you are more than welcome. Hey I do have texas roots. My daddy was born in texas. My grandparents are born in Vernon, and my aunt lives there.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

I dub you both honorary Texans... now, ya'll come, ya hear?

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

Love to meet you Vickie... we might almost make you want to move back.. hehe

Ozone, AR(Zone 6a)

Am back from Kilgore. Did i ever have fun looking for bargains yesterday afternoon.Have been trying to find a plastic watering can since june. Not one around anywhere locally. I stopped on the way to Kilgore at a Dollar General and they had 5 AND on sale 70% off. I BOUGHT ALL 5. YES!!! :^D

Karen, I asked DD if she remembered playing Frankston in Basketball. She not only remembered but also the score. Seems it was the first girls basketball game for Overton. Frankston won 102 to 2. LOL we figured it had to have been 1977.

Have wished several times i could move back but i own my land and home here. it would simply mean i'd lose money by moving back. so here i stay and go visit when i can. The people who bought our house in Overton kept the flowers and trees like i planted them so i always injoy driving by to look at them.

I like the diabetic donation idea also. lot of folk in my family with diabetis including me.

BJ, Be there with bells on! (thats aggie bells yall)
Vickie

(Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)

My my Vickie, that is so funny your daughter remembers that. She and I must be close to the same age? I graduated in 1980, so I would have been in 9th grade that year...Seems like yesterday. So looking forward to meeting you!

Palestine, TX(Zone 8b)

I'm new to Dave's Garden and just found this thread. What is the Fall Round Up? I kind of glean from the posts that it is a place for gardeners to get together to talk plants and even trade a few. Is that right? I was born in Amarillo and moved to Fla as an adult. I lived there for 28 years. Just moved back to Texas and settled in Palestine. I have a lot to learn and would love to pick some folks brains.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Hey Texasgrower! You are just about 30 minutes from me. I live in Buffalo.
Do you grow professionally?
Charlene

Palestine, TX(Zone 8b)

Thankyou Linda for the Link. I will check it out. BJ I bet you have more to pick in your brain than you think. Phyllis, I will do my best to be there for the fun. Charlene it's nice to find someone so close who likes gardening too. I don't grow professionally. I did just buy my first greenhouse though. But only 6x8. I love growing anything.

Thanks to everybody for being so nice. I will definately plan to be there. Look for the bright red Monte Carlo Pace Car. That's Grammy's ride, a mother's day gift from 2003.

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

Charlene, sounds like a plan. Karen and I will have to make plans to meet you at Wally World. Or there is this nice Tea Room down the Elkhart Hwy. Jeanne

Someone dmailed me and asked me to post here about whether I'll be in attendance. The answer is, of course, yes, I will be there. ^_^
