Anyone interested in documenting ONLY clouds? I'll start us off with a few...Victor got me into this. I am doing it every day!
Anyone for JUST CLOUDS??
Very interesting pics. Like the clouds through the grass and fields pics, makes a nice color contrast, especially the last one. Pretty much for a month now we have had clouds of some sort almost every day. So I go out to look for some today. Beautiful clear blue sky in just about every direction. Then looked to the west and there it is, the only cloud any where in view. It ain't much but it's mine for today. :)

I have a copy of "The Audubon Society Field Guide to North American Weather", which I picked up about 15 yrs ago at Barnes & Noble. It has pictures of just about every cloud formation there is in the US, along with the proper name, description altitudes and significance. It also has some phenomena like 'Dog Ears', Halos, Rainbows, Sub-sun etc. Very informative little book. ☺

OOh, WC - sounds like something I'll need to find.
Great pic, pixie.
Thanks for starting this one, Morrigan. Your pictures are fantastic.
Hey everyone, thanks for the compliments and I am SO happy some folk share my love of clouds. After all, we rely on them to eventually water our beautiful gardens. I hope we can keep this thread running, because I am sure we can find some incredible formations.
WC: I MUST find that book. DH and I were just talking not fifteen minutes ago about finding a field guide to clouds, their proper formation names, and all the data that go with them. I am so excited. But I must reiterate that credit for the commitment to photograph the clouds every single day goes to Victor, whose a master photo taker, and his "today's weather" threads. What a wonderful end=-of-year journal though, to see the progression of the seasons with just cloud photos, and then match them to the garden photos. Thank you all so much.
Hey!! we had a cloud thread a month ago, I personally love clouds, and any sky phenemona.
Victor must be on vaca, along with Dave47 and Hemhostaholic, havn't seen them for awhile.
When the sun comes up I'll shoot some from here.
Great thread
