Another Purple blizzard has opened.
This looks like a gray or smokey lavender.in person.
Very pale color. The spider mites love this one.

I like the nice evenly distributed color, Jackie!

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Pretty Jackie, nice soft lavender, I like it!!

Here are a few for me today.

From Joseph, a nice blue with raised ribs, I really like this one...

Much bluer in person, pretty but not a big flower.

This one is from Joseph too...I ♥ it!

Always a favorite of mine. My original seeds were bought as 'Split Blue'...this has always reseeded for me and each year gets darker. Not as many splits this year as last.

A tiny bit of feathering going on too.

Another welcome favorite!

Ronnie - WOW! Look what's blooming like crazy in your garden!!! I think this one in particular is outstanding! The color is fabulous! http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=5406181 Do you have a cultivar name for it?

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Thanks Becky! No name unless Joseph knows. He sent it to me as 'blue with solid leaves'. It is so pretty with the faint white streaking.

That's a pretty blue in that one, Ronnie! I don't know its name, it was an unknown from Japan. It is odd because the parent vine was a much deeper blue color as seen below.

Joseph I was hoping you would show a photo of yours...mine wasn't as blue but definitely darker than the camera captured. I will play around with the focusing on the next picture to see if i can't get better color.

Thanks Joseph, Ronnie and Ron

Ronnie, I love all your blooms but that pale blue is beautiful and so
is the small lilac.

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Thanks guys and gals...hoping for lots of seeds to save for you!

All my pots are going in the basement this year.

Gautier, MS

Real beauties, Ronnie!

Thanks Helena! ☺

Ron, You mentioned I should post a few pictures of my I.batatas to the Plant Files. Do you think this is a good enough sepal shot to post?

Luvsgrtdanes, Those are really beautiful.
Here is one from this morning. When I planted these I really didn't know what exactly they would look like and I am so pleased with the color combos.

I managed to capture a Syrphid fly having a snack of pollen on Fujishibori.

Becky, Someone asked about my Gazebo and I believe it was you.
I will be posting some pictures of my Gazebo later when the floor is finished. We put it up last year but didn't get the bricks for the floor until a couple of months ago. Because we have screen sides that we tie to the corners (much like swag curtains) I only have a few MG growing in the corners. When I get the pictures of the whole thing done I'll post a link here for you.

Here is Ronnie's Dai JMG.

Love your combo Holly!

Janett's Chocolate JMG has consistently large flowers as the season wears on.

I ♥ that one!

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Holly - Your blue and pink MG combo is delight! How pretty!

Yes, please post a link to your Gazebo when you get it all done. Using brick for the flooring is really going to make it look very elegant! I can't wait to see some photos!

Joseph - I gotta tell ya ... everytime you post a photo of your Fujishibori it makes me smile! :-) What a gorgeous bloom! I just love it! And your Dai and Chocolate are some good-lookin' blooms, too! Just curious ... how big are the blooms on the Dai?

Dai JMG is about 2 inches in diameter. A just-so story of a flower!

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Thanks, Joseph! It looked like it might be a compact flower. Love that reverse tube and the white color!

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Nice blooms Holly and Joseph.

Holly

The sepals are best viewed very closeup to show the exact structure (as the sepals are a major key in identification),but I can see that the photo you posted here
http://pics.davesgarden.com/pics/HollyAnnS_1218673700_926.jpg
does show the broad inner sepal adjacent the the thiner and longer outer sepal and that is an aspect that deserves to be in the PlantFiles...

So,the answer to your question about adding the photo to the PlantFiles is a definitive yes (!)

Joseph -

The Romaji name for this one
http://pics.davesgarden.com/pics/Gerris2_1218677294_700.jpg

is

Chaen no Tsuki

Likely to be a variation of the following
Rose Silk ...Dusty Rose

Chocolote

This purpurea photo came out nice.

I only have Hattie Bell on the nils blooming yet, so I'm not getting that many photos right now. Patience, patience.......

Emma, thank you. Yes it does resemble Lavender Mist, but I promise you it came out of Purple Blizzard seedpods. All my seeds are open pollinated. I have 3
more P.B. vines that haven't bloomed, can't wait to see what I get. lol

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Very nice blooms Beth and Emma.
Holly love the purple striped bloom.
