**SWEET INTERRUPTION** 12

Joey in Conroe, TX(Zone 8b)

I couldn't sleep last night and stayed up late reorganizing my craft table so I'm moving rather late and slow this morning! But those biscuits look yummy!! Where's Kathy with the preserves?

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Would send you one but son came by and guess what?

Joey in Conroe, TX(Zone 8b)

LOL thats ok. Shared a bowl of Lucky Charms with Zman. Not too tasty but loads of fun!!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

I can imagine. I had Lucky Pops last week with the girsl!! Yummy!

Joey in Conroe, TX(Zone 8b)

Did you know that the little charms in Lucky Charms become like cement when they get spread in your hair LOLtalk about styling gel!!!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Gee thanks for that tidbit of information. Especially since I have very short hair and having to cut it out would be a disaster for sure.

Ah, the joys of children. Where is BJ?

Joey in Conroe, TX(Zone 8b)

Dunno guess everybody was good and went to church this morning. We all overslept and DH didn't get home till 8 or 9 (I was only partially awake) so we are just hanging out.
I'm off to cut my birdhouse pieces now that I've finally decided on a plan.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

I'm here Marion... just lurking once in a while... had to start over again on one of my jars... for the third time.... or fourth... I lost count... I think I'm finally getting it right.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Just checking to make sure everyone is okay. I am in shock how few glass jars we actually use at this house. I thought this would be a snap for containers but have found myself purchasing things in glass jars to have for the swap. That is a new one!!

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

LOL... I did the same thing...
I just had a little yeast left in the jar, and I didn't want to bake bread, and I didn't want to throw it away, so, I went and bought another jar of yeast, and poured the little bit in the new jar... just so I could have the jar... cause it was the perfect size for what I needed...
I was also eying the little jars of spaghetti sauce, but that's not enough for us, so I didn't buy those yet.. but I might..

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

It actually came as a shock to me as I just assumed most everything was in glass. Managed to find the sizes I need so all is saved so far. Now if I don't break anymore......

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

I also have been pushing the ice cream on Don while he was off... cause I needed the Smucker's Pineapple Topping jar. Now, he tells me not to get pineapple anymore... he's tired of it for a while.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

OMg you all are too funny with the jars!! See-I guess I am not the only one that has pretty much everything in plastic...

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Can't have anything pineapple around here--Kim is seriously allergic to it!! I love it and boy does that hit me hard.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Good morning Tinky Winky! Oops afternoon, pardon me. Nope you are not alone in that one for sure.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

YUMMM-Pineapple-LOve it-pineapple shakes and pineapple upside down cake are my faves:)

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Afternoon Auntie M:) Hows it goin??

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Yeap so do I. Pineapple sherbert and pineapple upside down cake I would do almost anything for!!!! When we were in Costa Rica I ate pineapple with every meal--oh my, talk about being good!!!

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

No, Stacey... I have a lot of glass jars... just not the right ones were empty...

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Doing just fine. Went out earlier and picked up something that could blow around just incase the Lady Fay does a more westerly turn. I have been through enough of these things as a child I just have a healthy respect for things blowing around.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

I have never ever been a pineapple lover... but last year when we went Hawaii I almost ate my weight in fresh pineapple... it's just better there... I guess it's because they grow it there, and it's not picked until its good and ripe... and also, it doesn't have to endure cold storage and shipping... but it was the best pineapple I've ever had...

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

That is the way I felt about the pineapple in Costa Rica. Oh so good!!!

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

I would think in FL you could grow your own as well....similar climates to those areas-have you ever thought about it??

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Yeap but they don't taste quite the same. My sister has several and I brought 2 plants home from her house. No pineapples developed so far.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

hmmm-I am curios to know if they turn out...we don't get good fresh pineapple here either-only pkace I have ever had real good at is hotels-they have the market cornered on wonderful sweet fresh fruit-I did get fresh blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, watermelon, peaches, plums and yellow flesh watermelon and bing cherries at the store yesterday:)

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Did you have to mention cherries! That is my other weakness-have been known to eat them until I was sick. I bought some yesterday-think I will go have some now.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

I had some as a side to my bluberry pancakes this am:) Yummmm-and I have never had yellow flesh watermelon, so I am excited to try that too:) I can't eat it all at once though-otherwise I have stomach issues....

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

I have had the yellow but it isn't as good to me as the reds. Personal taste I am sure.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

hmmm-the girl at the produce place said they are real good:( Aw man!! Now I am bummed....they are locally grown, so maybe the fact that they are real freash will have an impact...

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Tinky you might like the yellow ones but I was raised in Florida on plain old fashion red ones and that is my preference only. Let me know what you think.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

I will-I will probably eat some tomorrow:) I got my birdhouse person and am a little nervous....

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

You didn't get --------, did you?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Hello Sistahs and Favorite Fairy niece!
Joey, would you believe I've never had Lucky Charms for the 30 odd years I've been here? But when I run out of hair gel, I'll grab a box :D
Ooh Maid Marion, that's what we had for lunch. Fresh home made biscuits at this soul food restaurant...the best flaky ones to go with utterly delicious roast brisket.
And you and BJ are right about the pineapples. Only those grown in the tropics have that sweetness you can't find here. My grandparents had pineapples grown in their garden patch, and we looked forward to them when they're ripe.
Yellow over red watermelons? Think depends on where they're grown. The sandier the soil the better but the best watermelons I ever had was in Egypt. Swwwwwwweeeeeeet!!!
So, the names are given out for the BH swap? Gonna check..hope it's one of y'all :)

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

LOL.... oh, that's too funny...
Nope, maybe she's drawing names from another swap to give us... LOLOL

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Auntie Bottles & Jars-not nice teasing Tante Jaye;)

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

LOL... well, aren't we all in the 3B swap?
Sorry, Sistah Jaye... that just struck a funny bone and I had to laugh.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Yes we all are;)-I didn't get any of you though....I got someone I am way unfamiliar with and has been kinda silent...

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

I got a newby too... don't know much about her.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Oh boy.... you all are lucky!!!
A newbie is easier to please than one of us seasoned swapper :P
LOLOLOL!!!!

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

My ain't no newbie......
