Joey-we are sooo glad you love it-Don is BAAADDD for getting BJ one since that is what we had planned for her Bday too!! Oh well got something else up my sleeeve-and Audrey got herself a printer when that is what we had planned for her too!! Can't wait to see what you make Joey-I would throw some stuff in it today since it takes a few days-I can never wait to start a new project!! DOn't care if I have 4 going at once!!LOL

Next Bday is Marion!!!

Jaye-I love Bernie mac-we saw him live a few years back when he and DL HUgley and the bunch (drawing a name blank) went on the road together and loved his show-I couldn't beleve it when I saw it yesterday-and so young too-only 50:(

Hey Joey, another niece was diagnosed with hypo for 10 years, but on her 30th b'day, she almost went into a coma. She's now, on insulin.

So, what are your plans for the day. I know Joey will be playing with her new toy--and burn another dinner!!

I am making cupcakes, doint trades, finishing a project for someone special and painting some more of my birdhouse. Calling my mom to sing her Happy Bday, doing laundry, cleaning and getting outside-only supposed to be mid 70's today:)

Do what I do-I tell DH to "zip it-if I wanted any lip out of of you I'd ask fo it-now go AWAY!!"

LOL wouldn't do any good Satcey, he is physically incapable of not giving advice. He simply can't help himself. I'm learning to just smile and nod and do it my way anyway, that way we both come away happy

JoJo... here's some advice, when he offers advice... break his beer bottle and throw the pieces in the tumbler... and say "and that's all I want to hear out of you"... cause... that's practically all there is too it... no advise needed.
(then you can add the sand and water when he's not looking.)

Fairy Fingers... I have too many projects going at once... I just hate to watch paint dry... so while I wait, I start something else. I have stuff laying all over the place in some phase of completion.

Bj, I baked some marbles but every last one of them crushed into small pieces. I wonder if I could just used them like a mosaic? Maybe roll the jar in glue, then roll it into all the marble bits?

Marbles? Like real glass marbles? or did you make polymer clay beads?

WOW... what temperature did you bake them at? wonder why they broke?

I just wanted them to crack on the inside, not the outside too. 170* then I poured water over them. Maybe I poured the water over them too fast? I dunno. I had wanted them to be a bottom layer to the side of my jar. I'll probably do another jar craft now.

I think if you waited for them to get about 1/2 way cool might have worked better-you may want to experiment w/ small groups of them-I would stick about 4 groups of 4 in the oven, then when they come out I would pour water on them in 5 min intervals-like 1 set after they've been out 5 mins, if they don't do waht you wnat, wait another 5 mins, then try the next group-and so on...make sense??

Well, you can always send the broken marbles to JoJo... she can tumble them to get the sharp edges off before you use them for mosaics.

That's another thought! Yoy're right about the sharp edges. Oh my brother has a tumbler!

Kel says if you try using hot water, the temp. will be a l'il closer than cold water. Cold water might be too much stress for your marbles.

What's all this about marbles. Did I lose some? Oh, thank goodness it's Deborah playing around with some. Had me worried for a minute. Humm sounds good, might try it when I get some extra time. As if I ever do!

Ahh! Air Conditioning!! Been out all morning mowing and weedeating! Nope haven't started the tumbler yet. I have to get some of the polishing compounds. But I already have big plans!!!
Right now it's shower time and then a few detailss on my CIJ swap piece so it can go out tomorrow!!

Oh I learned that trick early on in my marriage. In my case, I discovered cheese sauce would cover a mulitude of burns!!!

I need to mow but no gas for the mower, DS was going to bring me some but forgot to. Did bring his dog for a swim in the lake though.

Jaye, what do you mean, what do I got down? I'm still swimmy headed and haven't put Puppy in a pot yet, but she has dirt on her roots, and is damp, maybe I'll do it later tonight! She's OK, better than me!

Today is a good day for just doing nothin'! Have been a very lazy Sunday today, and didn't get anything done, except feed the furbabies! But we needed the rest as the week had been extremely hot and you know how drained our bodies can get.

No, problems with my heart. I spent 24 hrs. in the hospital for chest pains. I'm still weak and tired, but I feel better. Does that make sense? ^_^

Well, I have my Bhouse 1/2 painted-did all the deatil trim work, did a special project for someone, ripped out my roses and tossed them, did launbdrey, made cupcakes for my neighbors, did laudry & dishes and now am going to attempt a diaper cake and get some trades done....

Yeap, Jaye cheese sauce has saved my skin more than once when I was first married. I had this awful habit of burning things frequently then I discovered the lower settings on the stove. Came by it honestly, Mom and Grandmom thought the only way to cook was with a fire full roar.

Sheesh Audrey..is that why you laid off caffeine? Please take care of yourself. We want you to be around for a long long time, let's say until Stacey has grandkids! Gonna say an extra prayer for you after this...

I got this list too for today -- but slept on it!! Once you finish that diaper cake, post a pic please. I took the easy way out..already purchased the birdhouses.

I did the cupcakes and brownies cuz while DH was away they were very helpful-he was the one that replaced my sump pump.....have been wanting to do something nice for them, but kept running out of time...I hope they like them-I made my fave-lemon cupcakes w/ vanilla frosting!! Actually my fave is rasp icing, but couldn't find any:(

My kids claim they had to learn to cook out of self preservation. And actually, they all became better cooks than I am... too funny... Don likes my cooking...
When we remodeled the kitchen, we added a smoke detector in the kitchen on the opposite wall from the stove. Every time I opened the oven, it set the smoke detector off... I made Don move it to the dining room, cause it was giving me a complex.
