Best/ worse/ ? did you learn today #55 visit with friends...
You all have a good day now. It is my last day of freedom and back to work tomorrow.
Betty glad you found the money there yet. Hope you can get in the office today.
Judy enjoy the new project. Pictures of the front yard?
Liz you are awful quiet. Miss you.
Bev love that Powder!
Starzz Lovely wedding.
Everybodys gardens are looking so pretty no matter the weather.
ves,
Love that last picture of the Sunflowers!
You should enter that in the upcoming Photo Contest....
Cordelle,
My most reliable Brug is the Rose Souvelons one. It always comes through the winter in OK shape. Then--I just put it outside, harden it off a bit, and it turns all green and keeps growing.
But--I do miss that wonderful scent of the Dr. Seuss!
Ruby! That tomato is too weird! Doesn't even look like a Tomato!
Post a picture again when it is all ripe, will Ya?
OK! Gotta get ready to go to work.....
Gita
Vicky, I'm in awe of those beautiful sunflowers..I've tried seeds, I've tried plants and don't do well...so something I'm doing in not right...omg, it would be lovely to walk among your sunflower patch...your gardens are awesome to say the least..now the photo you posted and said was overgrown, that's how I love my gardens, kind of mishap country look...now you have some of those frilly daisies as well...I've cut the flowers off the stems, have them in a box and am hoping to get seeds from them for next year....beautiful house and look at Ty...must have enjoyed you having the time off...love your house...shutters do make a difference, glad I put them on mine..gives the house a bit more dimension...
Bev, the yellow flowers you posted are much like the frilly daisies right? If I ask nicely do you think I could have some seeds???? never saw anything like them here...loved the photo of the dove...
Jeannine..here's a photo of Sharon's little one that is waiting for it's new home..the other 5 are now with their new families...
Judy, love the sunset..you should have it enlarged/framed for the cottage...what a beauty..you busy at work today???
Ruby, that's the oddest tomato plant I've seen...lol... Do hope your tests come back with good news...every once in awhile but haven't in the past few months, I've gone through periods of times that I cannot sleep during the night..makes for a long/long night...
Bev, they sure don't look like our Black Eyed Susans..look as though they've mega metals??? and thank, would appreciate some...
The dog is 'American Eskimo'..sister breeds them and shows them, they've some of Canada's top honors...
Oh Betty, she looks like a little polar bear! Or an Arctic fox! Beautiful!!
I have puppy fever and know I will be totally engrossed in all things puppy for the next few weeks! I told DH that I needed to go to PetSmart and buy "girly" stuff and of course, he was like 'we have stuff already that will work fine'. So I've relented for the moment and told him that when Sailor outgrows the small collar we have that I am hitting the store for something new. I do need to go an pick up some toys though!!!
Will check back later..
J
I'm so laughing "J" not so sure you'd be this excited having a new baby in the house...all new toys and apparel..lucky Sailor girl... you'd best not let my Sailor girl know about being in fashion or I'd be in deep dodo...get a kick out of DH, know Roger would have been much the same, at least till the puppy came home then he'd be as bad as I...
Bev still, these must be of a different variety..will takephoto of my lazy susans tonight if it's not raining...
Yuk..I teach tonight, another long day...Paul is gone looking at offices..one for the city and hopefully we'll hear soon about the Barrie one..Suzanne would have to put in time between the 2 but I'd be stationed just in Barrie...oh happy days!
Betty, that fire that ran y'all out of the building is a loss now?
Deborah, guess the staff will be home probably for the rest of the week until it can be cleaned but not before they determine the cause and with all the major fires here in the city this past week, could take some time before Fire Marshall is able to come...
Painting here in the office, doing an ornament holder...primitive but passes the time, also 8 santa faces...just think of the fun I'll have in Barrie if we move, I'll be able tosit and paint all day as most will be in different offices, ours will be home base...
So sad, just came over the news that a 47 yrs. old I believe just got the ok to return home - not far from the blast, she had a heart attack and died..am sure they said 47 and not 77...regardless...so sad, they said the pressure was just too much!
Good Afternoon!
...What a lovely gardening stroll this morning!
Thank you all for sharing your gardens with me.
Ves, Ty looks just pleased as punch to to be playing about. Your gardens are so pretty. I do love them all you did great!! The shutters on the front of your house will be charming! Will you paint them yellow to match your doors? Just curious as to why the one bed is so tiny? Are they new (baby) plantings? Very pretty.
Bev, OMG, that last photo is awsom, with the lighting and the darker backround.
Ruby, So pretty. Funny how some plants grow funcky like that. Hopefully it will taste marevlous.
Johns wall is looking fabulous.
Gita...your front gardens are so inviting. Nice arrangements, love all the texutres
Betty, How exciting your milage post will be in! OMG, The lil white ball of fur just makes me want to cuddle. He's adorable. That is so sad about the woman.
Kids, had fun yesterday at the beach! Yep it was downtown beach front they went to. They were exhausted by time i got home. LOL, first time all summer too! Thank you about my sunset. I am planning a series of sunset photos for the staircase wall, That and the birds captured on film. LOL, Once I sat for about three hours just to photo a Cardinal. But I got a good one. hmmm, will see if its here or at home...Well i hope the plans for the office in Barrie work out. That will be nice for you.
Well, ive got a project but am waiting for items to come in so today i am packing up older materials, but have to be kept, LOL was told to throw it away, but you know just as I started someone screeched not too. Yikes ok then...
Thank you all made my day to see a wonderful variety of plants and landscapes.
Bev, so glad you did. Splendid.
my you take some of the most incrdible pictures.
...Love the reflection in the green ball too, really cool shot.
Judy they are just shorter plants. I haven't sat for 3 hours to get a picture but I think I could spend an hour or two taking sunflower pictures! Lets see about half an hour yesterday and half an hour today. Yep I am easily on my way there.
Betty for the sunflowers I just grabbed handfulls of the birds sunflower seeds. Sprinkled them very heavy in the rows I made. Figured what comes up comes up! they are for the birds after all!
Bev do you carry your camera with you? I do but still miss some great shots.
Gita I was thinking of entering that picture. Thanks for the confirmation! Your flowerbeds are so pretty. Such a different variety from what I have.
Have to go and get something for lunch. What I don't know yet!
Bev, Suzanne and Wayne hearing me go awwww, oh my goodness...wow..yep that's what I think of that picture..it's absolutely gorgeous...not at all what I call black eyed susans..sorry, meant black eyed susans and NOT lazy..lol..

Hello to Everyone - Well, I was able to sleep a lot better last night, but did have a nightmare that woke me up. Yesterday afternoon I took a several hour nap and that helped me feel better.
Ves, I showed John pictures of all the rocks that you have at your place. He said that you have done some nice work with them. Thank you for sharing all the pictures.
That really is a strange looking tomato, Gita. I will try to remember to take another pic when it is ripe.
Liz, so sorry to hear that things are rough for you at the moment. I hope that things will reslove themselves soon.
Well, I know that there are others that I wanted to say something to, but John awoke while I was reading this and I cannot remember all that I wanted to say. I will close by wishing everyone a good day.
Oh yeah, some rain last night. I was so happy to see/hear it. It wasn't a whole lot but everythings helps. They are saying possibly some more later on today. Let's hope!!!
Ruby
Morning everyone, kind of mopy this morning, we ended up leaving the city at 6:15pm and I got here late for glass but the girls were all gabbing, had their projects out so I had to rush/change and get into the teaching mode...by the time everyone left I was beat...even slept in past the alarm..lucky I don't wear make-up so it's a quick wash the face, dress in these easy wear outfits, if you don't really live in the house lol there is no housework to do so I could simply make coffee and come sit with you all for awhile..
Liz, we'll be sending prayers along your way..sure do hope you can get everything resolved that best meets your needs! Do drop in though please, we're all here to cuddle and support you...
Well better sign off, Sailor hasn't been out yet..a must do..
Talk later
Morning!
Liz sending you hugs! I know you could probably use one or two!
Ruby thank John for me as it means alot coming from him! A good nights sleep does help doesn't it?
Starzz saw the blooms and the little bee. The bees and hummingbirds were busy on the backhill yesterday while I was working. The one hummer would fly really close to me and hover. But once i got out the camera it wouldn't let me get a picture! Now the wasps I tried to stay away from them. But they left before I felt I had to.
Bev I almost always have my camera with me. It's just getting it out of my pocket to get the picture.
Have to go and let Ty out for his morning sniff around the yard.
Here's one of the wild flowers growing down by the pond.
Pretty Bev! I can see them on a B-day card!
beautiful photos girls....isn't it fun when you get a really good shot.
thanks girls will pop on from time to time
Morning Liz, you are in my thoughts and prayers today...know you have friends here, always ready to offer support..some of the kindest people frequent these threads... hugs my friend...
It was a sunshine morning, drive in was great, almost wanted to continue the trek right over to the USA border or at least Niagara Falls...looking at the santa faces I have on window ledge thinking I should get at them that is after my peameal bacon sandwhich...lol
Although there is a chance of rain today and tomorrow I'm enjoying what is out there today..maybe my lovely friend Cathy will cut the grass again today..always nice coming home Thursdays to fresh cut lawn..
Rita (painter) last night told me about an on the lake 'artisan show' up in Gravenhurst..probably an hours drive so think I'll ask Cathy if she'd like to go Sat. morning as she and her mother are so kind to me, cut lawn/freshly made deserts and the odd meal that it's my way of saying thanks...besides, Rita said last year she purchased a metal humming bird stake that a flower pot sits within, don't you think I need one???? lol know you just shook your head and said 'yes' so with your approval I'll go...
Bev and Vicki you sure have a way with the camera, I just go 'snap/snap' maybe I'd better invest in a better camera with a scope???? might put that on my christmas list...you know it's coming right???
Carol, I purchased a 'wisteria' mid summer, have it planted near back deck (should be concerned if it likes it's location with the vining but it's there) saw it climbing up - few strands entwining the deck posts...so my question is, do they normally only flower every few years..do they have to be mature before I'll get any of their beauty????
Betty, depending on the age of your wisteria, it should bloom every year in early spring. SHOULD be the operative word here! Mine is blooming now - all because I trimmed a few vines. Mine took a couple of years to bloom after I bought it. I will tell you that they are horribly invasive and runners pop up everywhere. My biggest complaint with mine is the constant shoots that come up from the base from spring to fall. If I didn't remove them, I'd have a jungle. I have mine in the corner of my deck and shoots have gone under the deck and rooted and I will never be able to get them out!
All in all, mine offers awesome shade and a spacious condo for the sparrows!
Jeannine
