Today's Weather in Your Garden - 27

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

sunny and 75 heading back toward 90 today. Not 1 drop a rain.
Please send some rain!!!!!!

Southeastern, CT(Zone 6a)

I'm trying Jen.

Overcast with rain predicted for this afternoon.

Suns been out. Boomers later - I hope not.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Temp 80.6°, Wind SSE 7.0, Rh 52%, Baro 29.56 steady. ☺

Thunder and lightning clouds fast approaching from the West - should cool things down a little.

Sue, RI(Zone 6a)

I would like to change my forecast to the actual weather! Why do I listen to the weathermen?! It's sunny and 76! No hail or rain! lol! Maybe I shouldn't mock-it'll probably turn black out in about 5 minutes and rain all over me!

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Another Tornado warning issued, I think they have let it expire now, but t-storms just west of here. I am sure some of you are getting hit right now. Hope we get the rain but the storm part poops out by the time they get here. I can't remember many years with even one tornado warning issued here never mind two or three. Very strange how the weather seems to be changing. Temp around 74 and very muggy.

South Hamilton, MA

Alternating gloom & sun. Rain predicted for tonight here in NE MA.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Temp 80.6°, Wind SE 7.6, Rh 52%, Baro 29.53 steady. ☺

Mostly cloudy with passing light showers 0.05" rain so far.

- Yep, it's one of the babies! Now a month old, spotted mom and dad feeding 2 of them in one of my trees 40' from where they were hatched. At ~8" in length the feathers & beak are still of a fledgling Mockingbird.

(Couldn't get a better shot - taken though the foilage.)

Rain, rain, rain and more rain. This has been the wettest summer I can remember in a long time. Highs only in the 60's past few days. It figures - I installed drip irrigation this year so I could keep up with the watering. Haven't need it at all.

Good news is, the foliage season should be spectacular in NH!

Southeastern, CT(Zone 6a)

He's adorable, WC. It's a tie as to who is more vigilant, you or the parents. Wonder where the other two were?

Thomaston, CT

Severe weather in CT today, but we only got some heavy downpours--of course--- Songs, I was just saying that very thing to my DH today, AND asked what if the pattern continues into winter? Snow every day? Couldn't bear it! Actually was able to hang laundry out this morn, but raced the black clouds to get it in! Nice bird shot---I'm not seeing a whole lot of them right now.

New Hampshire, NH(Zone 5b)

Robin - now that's a scary thought!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Very nice, WC. Seems the same regions keep getting all the rain!

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Yes... nice light show tonight, but only .03" rain fell here for a total of .08" today, barely enough to dowse a match! Forty-Five days till Autumn. ☺

Cool shot. So we're halfway through summer already?

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Just as well, I don't plant in the heat of the summer & the bugs are getting a free salad and getting fatter! ☺

I like the rain, new gardens don't have to drag the hose so much.
61* and going for a high of 70's

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

Had some rain last night. Heard the thunder in the distance. Bought a reel mower and love it! Fired the landscaper. I'll pay myself instead!

Beautiful blue skies this am - plan on going out to have my coffee.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Love the baby picture, WC!

I'm not getting much internet time because the storms are so constant and another new cordless phone (that makes 3 in a month) got fried even though it was connected to an expensive surge protector. Ugh. My son gave me a new phone for my birthday.....fried....he gave me another....fried last night. We had horses and riders trotting by the house at the height of the thunderstorm.....very scary! They are part of a trail riding club that passed by all day.

A quick shower over night, not anything like most people got yesterday but a half inch maybe, I will take what ever we get. Looks like the sun is trying to break through the overcast. temp is only just reaching 60 degrees now. More t-storms this afternoon predicted.

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

It's a beautiful day here. Sunny, not humid, low 80's. It would be perfect, but we need rain and lots of it.

The whole state except 2 counties are in a flash flood alert. Since when has NH had to fear "flash floods".

We need sun - not rain, ho hum.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

sun out here but west is very dark and thundering.
Guess the "Tshower" report was right. We are really gunna get it.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Temp 68.4°, Wind NNE 2.4, Rh 62%, Baro 29.50 steady. ☺

Beautiful sunny COOL morning, I'd better enjoy it fast 'cause this weather can change dramatically from one hour to the next

(Glad you liked it Louise!)

Hour? Try minutes

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

It's 57 and pouring!!!!!!
How bout 5" of rain in less than 3 hours and roads are being washed away in the Freeport area. Hope no one was planning on going to L.L.Bean today!

Nh has roads washed out. One little girl got killed in the car in a flash flood. LL Bean humm out of my budget.

No more RAIN !

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

HolyCow Be careful out there.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

I love LL Bean! - never been there, but I've been to Woolrich! Hee hee! ☺

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I used to stop in Woolrich Pa. and shop at the only REAL factory outlet store.
You could hear the sewing machines humming in the background.
Their bargins changed when they shipped to outlets in Malls when that trend came in.
Been to LL.Bean too but don't buy much in the way of outdoor stuff. Love the store.
Rainig here now, not too hard.

Passing thunderstorms, heavy at times.

A guy was looking my way and I was looking his way BAMM. He said I saw it sparks and it hit behind you, I said I saw a bolt of lightning behind you.

Lightning hit 1/2 mile from us (the way I was looking) - it blew the well cover off and hit an electrical box. The place is fried.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

WOW

Southeastern, CT(Zone 6a)

Get in the house! Both of you.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Cloudy, one short sprinkle, thunder occasionally off in the distance, temp in the low 70s. Stay safe every one and batten down the hatches. Oh goodness a bird just wacked into the window, I hate that, makes me jump three feet. It's okay flew away. Cat's liked it.

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

It rained for about 10 minutes here. No flash floods, except maybe for a few ant hills. The sun is out and the weather beautiful. I don't ever remember being so annoyed by great weather.
I hope it dries up for all of you north of me and gets a bit wetter here. Send me your rain, I'll pay postage ;)

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

I hope you get some rain down there Venu. I just checked the radar, there is rain to the north, rain to the south, rain to the east and west. It's a rain donut and we got the hole. Outside chance that a little of the western rain might make it here but usually it gets right next door splits in half and there I am in the dry center again. Getting cloudy and darker again now, there may be hope. I send the rain wish down your way too.
