LOL! I didn't know the link had that on it... I looked up 'cat' recipes! (jk lol!)

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Congrats on the rain Nan, still waiting here. Looks like another hot humid no rain day. Present temp is 73 degrees and should get up close to 90. Very slight chance of a late shower but I have heard that before. At least today a slight breeze may help a little.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

It's beautiful here, just transplanted three purple echis with huge blossoms.Watering in cause we havn't had rain for several days.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Pretty steamy here, but I've got 2 big pieces of news to share and not sure which thread to share it on! So since it's HOT news for me, here it is, y'all................I FINALLY HAVE MY COMPUTER BACK FROM THE GEEK SQUAD FIASCO AFTER TWO FULL MONTHS!!!! And......We have a brand new little granddaughter (our first little girl!) as of last night!!! Mom and 9 lb+ baby are doing just fine out in the Colorado heat wave! Yippee!

Thomaston, CT

Oh, Louise--how wonderful! They choose a name yet? 9 pounds---wow! Wish they were closer to you--it was hard waiting to see Grant for a week!--Wait--did the GD come on your double B-days? How cool is that? My good news is the plumber just left--no more boiling water on the stove! 80 degrees today--rather humid--but I'm heading out to the garden anyway!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Congrats Louise! Wonderful news. Yes - a big girl. Congrats to the proud parents too.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

congratulations! Having had two 9 + pound baby girls I can say with authority that they grow up to be wonderful women.

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

That is BIG news, Louise!!! Best wishes for health and happiness!!

9+ Nice!! I was only 7-7 (SOOO glad the 'rents didn't name me Seagram like they were thinking!!)

And Yes yes ..... what shall we call this beauty??

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Thanks so much, you guys! Robin - yes, the baby came yesterday on my son's birthday! He's pleased. The baby is named Tallaby Katherine. Her first name is a family name....very different, huh?

Thank you, Victor! They are very good parents....I am always impressed with their common sense.

What a sweetie, Pixie,.....and soooooo pretty! I'm sure you know whereof you speak! LOL

Kathleen - that's great to hear.....and I'll certainly take your word of authority on it!! We have 3 little grandsons, and now one little girl! This little girl's brother is 2 and a half and very adorable! I talked with him on the phone the day before she was born and he told me the baby was in his mommy's tummy. I said, "Is it a boy or a girl?" and he told me it is a little "gurlul". Cute, huh.....and smart kid! None of us knew what it was going to be.

Willie - thanks very much....I was 7-7 also......guess we both were lucky not to be named Seagram!! Very funny!

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

I guess that spoke volumes about my parents, eh? haha

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Fun-loving couple, I assume! LOL

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Congrats Louise, the clothes are sooooo much cuter. I like it better when it's a surprise, we didn't know with either of our kids. My daughter was a total surprise only the 2nd girl among 7 boys(my bros and sis kids). Can't believe she'll be 2 in 2wks. Man it goes fast!!

Forgot to mention she was also a bigun 9lbs 6ozs

Sunny and maybe a tad less humid. Bright blue sky with a few high wispies. Temp is 70 degrees and the wind is calm at present. Waiting to see if things heat up this afternoon and t-storms form and march through. Need the rain not the wind and lightening.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Wow - really blowing and pouring now!

South Hamilton, MA

Gloomy--rain predicted. Congrats to all Moms & children.

Southeastern, CT(Zone 6a)

Overcast and the fog is rolling in. Looks like lots of wild stuff headed this way!
Thanks for the heads up, Victor.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Wow - just put the computer back on. That was the most intense storm had since I'm in this house! It would not let up at all. Practically horizontal rain at times. The intense rain lasted over 1/2 hour and the wind was like a hurricane. My gage did not even fully measure it because the house was shielding the rain when it was coming sideways. It stands at 1 1/2 inches but I would say it was closer to three.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

I can see that line that just passed you Victor, looks very intense. Could be here in 3-4 hours if it holds together, could do without the storm part just want rain please.

Southeastern, CT(Zone 6a)

Hope you didn't get any damage, Victor. Glad it's over for you.
Looks like it's headed this way. Quite a long band of severe activity.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Not able to go look - we're getting ready to leave. Have to check tomorrow. Thanks and good luck to everyone.

Clinton, CT(Zone 6b)

That was pure luck. Didn't feel like it but had nothing else to do so went outside an hour ago and picked tomatoes. Watered deep yesterday afternoon and this rain would have split them

Thomaston, CT

We had a few good cracks & pouring rain--my DH had to pull over & wait til it lessened, but the most severe storms were south of us---hope you weren't hit too badly Nanegoat & David-Paul. It has really lightened up, but we are under a warning until 6pm. I'll believe the sky!

This morning early started in pants, around 11 starting to get hot so went to shorts and now back to pants, as it is 71 and cloudy and Cold! Anything under 80 is cold.....

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Got rained on when I went to go get peppers and italian rolls for the sausage and peppers and onions that hubby was grilling. Yummy
Thunder in the distance now. 82 degrees

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Thank you, Jen, Jo Anne and Nance! Hope we get to see her soon!

It is just finishing raining here and the temp is 70 degrees with lower humidity.

I took a couple of older friends out to lunch today and the rain on I-91 was coming down so hard, all the cars were creeping along at 40 mph......including me! I was glad to get home! LOL

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Only very light rain showers here for about 40 minutes, not enough to measure really. Wet the surface and foliage that's it so far. Maybe better luck tomorrow. Overcast and 70 degrees.
