It was so hot and humid here today! I spent HOURS with my older son trying to find things for his first apartment ,and the van's thermometer was registering 91 degrees. The best thing we did was to stand in the indoor garden of the local Lowe's where the 'wind tunnel' blew cool air over us! If there was a security camera trained on that area, I'm sure they'll be saying, "What idiots!" But that cool air felt SOOOOOO good!

We have an air quality alert for tomorrow. Can hardly wait.

I was in Erie, PA for a bit yesterday, pouring buckets when we left. We had a steady shower at home, but cleared off by 2. I picked the first blueberries out behind the shed after we got the cows in, a few blackberries as well. Clear this morning, probably some valley fog, but a lovely dawn up here on the hill.

High fog has just about burned off now. Temp mid 70s and should climb to mid 80s. Chance of t-storms this afternoon and despite the good amount of rain last week, we could use some rain again. Still a bit too humid and not much of a breeze yet.

This is another day like the last 10 days.Looks good in the AM but afternoon dark clouds and no rain except where my daughter works nearer the lake,they have downpours,floods for half an hour. then sun comes out.
We get black clouds and wind.

90 and overcast but they are not calling for rain. It didn't look like it rained last night but hubby said his truck was wet this AM.

Normal rainfall for Sprinfield is 3.47 inches for July - this month we have had over a foot of rain! - It rained during the night again - and will probably rain this evening.

The lawns look fabulous, the lilies are amazing, and the weeds are super healthy! (Alas, so are the Japanese Beetles and the blackspot on the roses is a nightmare . . . .)

A bit humid, but otherwise OK. It got pretty dark for awhile around noon, but now the sun is out. 80 degrees at the moment.

Been good all day--grumbling in the west right now, so off with the computer.

Been stupid hot and muggy all day but has just started to cloud up and get a little dark. Rain ? I hope. Michaela you guys up there have got all the storms, us that live in as my DGS says "the hangy down part of ma." only get some rain every fourth or fifth batch that rumbles on by to the coast. If we don['t get any today or tomorrow I will be hose draggin' again. Come on rain!

Still dragging the hose in my area. The rain seems to be splitting or dissipating before it reaches us. Just checked the thermometer and it says 80 degrees, but I think the humidity has dropped.

Weather station was calling for all day rain---we got about 10 drops to the acre! It was hot & muggy all day---we have no hot water--the plumber never showed---good thing it's not Jan.!

We never even got ten drops. Darn! Maybe tomorrow, looks like the showers are all done for today.
Robin I hope that plumber shows up bright and early tomorrow am and we both get some nice drenching showers tomorrow afternoon. Good luck with both. :)

The mostly cloudy part of that report seems to be breaking up nicely. Stan mowed the last of the second cutting hay yesterday and got it tedded out. He hopes to bale later today, nice if the mostly cloudy would turn into mostly sunny. Upper 70s for predicted highs.
