Garden Photos - Part 26

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

Nice pics everyone, such luscious blooms everywhere ..... my yard is more, well, green ....

Gobble gobble ..... that well and grind stone are amazing (Isn't lineage like that fascinating?) .... all those groupings of pics, too .... Now I really need to get over to the NA & BG again; very nice, thanks!!

I never really noticed how nice spiderwort looks, I like the bark in contrast here.

My oaks are covered in lichen and moss. I am waiting for a nice sunny evening to get a picture of it all lush and golden green in the setting sun.

Glad you're back safely, Thom--impressive photos! Loved the blue passiflora-was that yours, Pat? And the hummingbird moths are fun--have not seen one yet this year, but am not seeing JBs, either. I'm very diasappointed with my phlox this summer--only David looks good--the rest have small heads & yellowing foliage. Here is my favorite, Jeana.

Here is the DL I need to get rid of--but if you leave 1 little piece in the ground, you have a huge clump--I'm hoping my DS will take some, because the front of his house is gold, & it may brighten it up a bit.

And finally, a nice full clump of Orientals---I love the clove scent.

I had 7 turkeys crossing my street when I went out today---and no camera.

Robindog:
Do you know which daylily that one is? We saw one similar to it today, and fell in love with it. I think it was named, "Tropic Sunset", and it is so gorgeous!!

Did it look like this?

The rains cleared and the sun came out just at the right time.

Hi all - busy with company today. Great shot, Willie. Beautiful lily, Shelly. Christina, KK is a faint pink with red veins and a deep red eye. Overall it is not red at all. Very pretty, Robin. Louise, I am not familiar with Luna White - sorry.

I'm trying to catch up on this thread cause I always love to see everyone's blooms. I was not dissapointed, they're beautiful. I took this pic yesterday. I just had the feeling that I've already posted this somewhere!!!! Well anyway, I was looking out the kitchen window and the sun was shinning through the astilbe and it seemed to glow and I ran to get the camera. The pic doesn't do it justice. Eleanor

Time for one more post. This is Chicago Apache - a new daylily that I planted last fall. Eleanor

Love those 'gotta get the camera!' moments, Eleanor. Nice shots. Since we're approaching 300, I started a new thread:

Yes Jen it is.... and that one that I gave you will re-seed if you let it.... the down side is it can be a short lived plant... maybe 3 years or so... then it's gone... my one plant made about 30 since I planted it 2 years ago

Eleanor that shot was well worth running for the camera, very nice and I like the pixie dwelling too.

I can only imagine Candyce!
