Thanks all. Still have lots to learn with the camera. I like those shots, Pat. The hydrangea and the combo are real nice. Here is a close-up of Kopper King's first bloom this AM.

The whole flower - it's a giant!

Stokesia with my nemesis, gooseneck. When they're done flowering, I will pull most out once again. As you can make out, they're overtaking some DL's.

Pink Chiffon hibiscus hiding in all the coneflowers, which really need to be thinned. Started with a few Kim's Knee-high. Now they are many and they are really tall! About chest or neck high now.

Lots of pinks. In the foreground, spirea still going.

On the far side of the pond, this DL leaned down to pose with the waterlily.

The one from my GG also has white blooms on it. Strange.

Very nice, Sharon. I really like that soft pink one.

Thanks Victor,
Someday when I grow up I will have an awesome camera and can take great shots like the rest of you.
Y'all have a good day.

Cool shots, all! Loved the closeups! Booj--you're right about my blue flowers reseeding--but they do stay in a general area--this year, I also have a white one! My coconut lime echie is blooming---looks more like coconut milk--not much lime there! Thom, sounds like a wonderful trip! Patti--is your red plant a type of Castor bean? Oh rats--thundering--have to get off!

Good photos don't require an expensive camera, Sharon. Not at all. I have even seen really good shots from camera phones.

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

Well, maybe I just need an updated hand/eye combo. Ouch.

OK--the rain made a liar of me--when I went out to take a photo of the coconut lime, I could see lime--maybe the sun was bleaching it out!

I* was just going to post a DL like yours, Pixie---but I THINK it's Egyption Ibis. What do you think?

It doesn't look like 'Egyption Ibis' that's in PF's...do you own 'Raining Violets'?

I also can't spell Egyptian! Not one of my better days! LOL And here is a lily I think is Journey's End--although I remember it blooming later, & shorter in stature. However, if it's not JE, I haven't a clue.

Oooh--nice!! I could own Raining Violets, but I don't think I do---however, at my age, one never knows! Electric Mist would look nice anywhere, & Border Lord, too---it must be an offspring of Border Patrol--sort of looks like it.
