Good morning my well dressed friends.
And what a fine Sunday morning it is...
Don's busy building steps for the new deck today... some real engineering going on outside today... gonna be the sturdiest steps I've ever seen... they'll be standing long after the deck is gone... sheesh.
AND, since I got caught up with the chores yesterday, I get to set the form for a boulder today. YIPPEE... been really looking forward to this.
How's every little thing with all of you this morning?
depressing and unabmitious....lost my 2 auction items I REALLY wanted-too high for me-you know the ones I am talking about:(
Yep... poor thing. Sorry, dear.
I'm off now to recreate nature... see ya later.
Yea y'all, .... talk to yall later.
have a good day everybody:)
Y'all make me want to create! Gotta get me some stuff to work with! Really want a Dremel tool!
you could always try a nail file and move it REALLY fast!!ROFL!!!
Thought of that! I have arthritis in both hands, and I don't know if I can hold a file long enough to do anything! BTW, I have a real file that you sharpen hoes with, bet that would work! If I could find it!
I've got to organize my utility room!
I just had a mental image of you rubbing it so fast it made fire!!ROFL!!!
hi girls.
^_^! nope! Not that fast anymore!!
where you been?? you been hiding from us or is DH home??
michael is home, but its a bad weekend. we had to put oscar to sleep, got unexpected company yesterday, while i was sick. they stayed all day. michael is sick to day and took his finger nail of while cutting wood. i almost passed out cuz i thought he took the top of the finger off.
Hello folks! Well BJ, Don's not a slacker, so he wants to make sure everything is perfect, and will stand to severe weather too :P
Sorry to read you lost the auctions Stacey. Chin up, you'll be able to save more for the next thing you just must have.
Hi Deborah..long time no read...cya Deborah!!! Missing you gf!
Next tool I must have is a dremmel too Audrey. Already stole one of Kel's drills just for my bulbs. With all these creativities going around, uhuh..a dremmel will be my best friend.
So so sorry to read about Mike. I have more than enough blood to donate if he should need some Sis. Were you distracting him when he's cutting wood?
Poor you...how old is Oscar? OK..no more bad stuff for the Jordans today, we say so!
Sis, did you get my dmail??
More work to do in the yard today. Got some more DL and agapanthus to plant. Another area to fill with hostas...ain't this fun?
Oh no Kathy-I am sooo sorry to hear about Oscar-I don't know what I will do when it is one of my babies time:( Here is a hug for you (((()))) I will keep you in my thoughts and your beloved fur baby:( You have had a terrible weekend-wish I was there to take care of you & Michael-make you some chicken noonoo soup and get you Kleenexes while wearing my hazmat suit.....

Almost collapse from the heat. But we know when to stop. Think we'll take it easy tonight. Frozen dinners of course, ain't America grand?
Waving to Jaye and ditto everythang she said. Jaye you summarize so well. I can only remember no more than 2 post directly above. By the time I've scrolled up to reread, I accidentially hit something and all yall are gone and I'm back to the home page again having said doodlysquat. Geezh I need to get better at this blog talk. I'm behind the times.
I did remember reading about Michael's finger incident. Bless his heart, I know that scared the peegeeze out of you, Kathy.
Now that's plum sweet of you, Stacy to send your fairies out with tissue for Kathy.

Triple Awww...
Sorry Kathy.
did ou get my d-mail, bj?
Sorry, Kathy... was distracted.
sokay
Well, it took me all blasted day to build one form for a small boulder. One very small boulder, at that. And my hands hurt from working with that wire. I don't know if it's worth it... ummm... yea it is, with what they want for boulders these days...
Of course, most of the day I was just studying the shape, wire, and instructions. Don got a laugh when he saw me standing back and looking at this Styrofoam box at different angles for a long time. And, of course I hauled all my stuff down to the lower level thinking that I'd build it "on site" where the boulder is going to stay... then I hauled it all back up when I decided to work at my work table then move it down there. sheesh. Wasted most of the day.
it will be worth it when you're done bj.
ooo-oops-I thought is was a doggie-still, sorry:(
What kind of doggies do you have again Kathy?? I forget...
You're brave BJ real brave.
Perhaps it would be easier if you move your work table closer to the site?
Yeah Deb, I know what you mean. On one of my favorite threads, it takes forever to load (dial-up you know), then forever to read...and by the time I think I finished responding, *poof* it goes!!! Got so agitated that I just lurked on it for the next few days, and decided that the best time to respond is when traffic's not too heavy on DG. By the time I went back to check..it's off to another page or either about 300 have posted! Lol!!!
That's why with this, I try to keep it below 200. About that time too ...
hold on... here it is!

BJ, you sound like me! When I decide to make a quilt, I look at several books for several days, then several fabrics, for several days, then go to fabric store, buy every different piece of fabric in every different color. Then the NEXT week, I decide which of the above to use, several times, cut strips, arrange them in different shades of colors, several times, try to remember which pattern I decided to use. Then I go back to see if some of the strips I used on the LAST quilt are sizes I can use on this one! Hopefully, by the NEXT week I've decided which size block to make!
HEHEHE... Audrey... that's me to a tee...
Ain't it fun? Gives me something to do with my brain!
i just read that it has always been thought that whatever intellegence (IQ) you were born with is what you will always have--now there is proof that your brain needs to be exercized and your intelligence can grow
so doe 41--you can look at it as increasing your IQ
i on the other hand am quickly loosing brain cells --they seem to fall out as i garden and get burried!
