Gee, poor little toad!! Rather have them than snakes.
Yeap it was young I will agree but it lasted 44 years until the ugly "C" word appeared and took over! Can't compete with a woman like that!! Wish I could have!!!
**SWEET INTERRUPTION** 7
I saw the toad last night, had to pick him up and carry him to the flower bed before my cat thought that he was food. He was so cool, he just sat in my hand with his front "paws" on my fingers looking around as if to say, "Wooaaaa!" The snake is one of those ringneck snakes or whatever they're called. It's about big enough to eat a grasshopper, and I've heard they don't get any bigger. He got in my garage the other night and I had to shoo him out.
LOL I had a boyfriend in high school, he wanted to graduate, get married and have kids. When he told me that I ran, ran, ran as fast as I could. The thought of marriage scared the crap outta me, and I still wasn't sure at 33 years old LOL
I don't think you really want to compete with the ugly "C." I can't figure out why he would want a woman like that. Men are weird sometimes.
My toad was making a gobbling sound after every bug he ate! It almost sounded like a small, quiet turkey.
Hi Crissy, welcome gal!
It's frog heaven here, haven't seen any toads nor snails.
Joyce, it's considered 'cool' now if you're confident enough not to to go to your HS prom with boys.
Kel's ex-wife's daughter was all beautiful, hair coiffeured and wearing this beautiful lavendar gown, getting ready to step into her car, leaving for prom. We asked her if she's picking up her date. She laughed and said she had turned down the guys and were going with her girlfriends.
This is after all the new generation right? But poor Mum was relieved when months later, she hooked up with a guy in college.
Yea, Jaye... I think today's generation have a bit of a sad confusion going on. I know 2 of my granddaughters are rather boy crazy... but one is too much a tomboy to succumb to their charms just yet. I hear from some kids that being a "VIRGIN" is considered "IN" these days... and yet being "GAY" is "COOL".... And I hear on the news about the parties some kids throw just to have wild orgies. So, it makes me really worry about this generation a lot. I can't imagine growing up these days.
When my kids were growing up the biggest concern was "Teenage Suicides". Seems they were happening right and left in the high school they attended.
I'm feeling somewhat better, but still not feeling like dancing. I haven't done squat today... I hate it when I don't accomplish something all day long.
Aww BJ, I hate it when one of you gets ill. But for a go getter like you, it's God's way of telling you, your body needs a rest.
I'm sure by tomorrow, you'll be out there directing Don.
My days, it was cigarettes, not even teen sex. But Singaporean kids were not exposed to much anyway because of govt. censorship then. I didn't listen to heavy metal till I came here! Lol!!
Boy, wish that's all it is with kids nowadays.
This is Cassie's Curls. If you want a brug that's ez to grow in pots, can be contained. This is it. It will grow up to 3 ft, and start budding at 2.
Cassies curls, are gorgeous!!! If you have any leftover stalks, from trimming her this year I will send you my address???
Linda Kay
I got your address Linda Kay :P
BJ hope you are on the mend now. I love that brug Jaye!! Soft, soft yellow--sooo nice.
Yeap, glad my child rearing days are over that's for sure!!!!! Pity my DS and DIL with 2 girls growing up.
CrissyR--I don't think he intended to mess around with the "C" as he took really good care of himself. Just happened--will always wonder why! Alas will never have the answer.
you have us Marion-and thank god we have you-we would be missing part of us w/o you;)
Thank you Tinky. Joining DG was one of my better moves in the last 4 years. You all are part of my extended family now. Just wish we were all a wee bit closer--then oh the trouble--nevermind!! I think we all know what would happen.
I have an announcement: Trumpets, please! Another blast, if you don't mind. Thank You! All the molding and facings have been ripped down, the square ceiling panel has come out and it is all been properly disposed of. Drum roll!!! Ready now to hang the last of the sheetrock and I'm beginning to see the light!!!!!
YEAH MAARION-finally the walls of the dungeon have crumbled!!
smooches auntie marion(((()))))XXXXX (hugs & kisses)
You are so right Stacey...we'd certainly miss our Miss Personality!!!
who is that??
Congrats Marion!!!!
Champagne all around, soon :D Please, post a pic!!
Come on now Stacey...'tis Marion!!!
Gee whiz, Jaye, I've been called a lot of things, most of which I can't include here but never Miss Personality! Oh be still my head.
Yes, it is a wonderful feeling having all the things out that needed to come out so DS could move onto the next stages. Actually he came over today and after checking to see if I had any tea in the frig proceeded to work with me. In the end we didn't have to do as much ripped as originally thought! That within itself is good--no very good!
Pass the champaign, the Baileys, or cheers with the beers if it so pleases you!!!!!
mmm-a beer-I may go grab one-I love the Smirnoff Mojito ones-mmmmm
I think of Marion a lot of things, but I guess I never thought of calling her Miss Personlaity. I think of her as warm and comforting. This may sound weird, but kind of like the feeling that you get when you wlak in a relatives house that you are very comfortable with and it is fall and they have an apple pie baking or some bread-that feeling of comfort you get-ya know?? I am sorry if that makes no sense...
No more ripping sounds!!! Your DS must love being around you!
Kel suffocates easily after being with his mum for 5 seconds!!
Oh but do you have the wrong house then!!! LOL
Hard to say. Of the 2, he and I are more alike and he has always been good to come just sit down and talk with me. DD was that way with Dad.
We went out for pizza when we finished and I have to tell what the 3 year old did. What a goof ball. The check came and she took it saying: I got it! Complete with the proper tone of voice, I might add. When questioned how she would pay she didn't miss a beat: I'll sign my name! Showed us how she would do it. The learn young these days.
Stacey, that's a good analogy.
I get that feeling with a lot of the sistas here too.
Lolol....way too cute.
It's like my nephew told me when he's 6, as long as I had checks, then I must have money to sign away!!!
Kids sure learn young, don't they. Funny thing is, her parents don't have any credit cards but I guess she has seen them sign when using their debit card..like grandma. She also reminded me we have a lunch date tomorrow. I didn't even know about lunch at 3 much less dates. Yikes!!
You need to keep a diary just on her!!! Lol....
I bet she makes a great debater!!
Actually a running video as she is so animated!!
Oh my goodness!!! A true livewire!!!
One of my sisters just called me up, to 'complain' on her 13 year old. She's academically brilliant, but decided that she's going to forgo formal education and head straight to a culinary school!!!! When I was 13, I couldn't plan that far ahead..
still not planning now!! Lol!!
BJ, I hope you're feeling better tomorrow!
Marion, You're gettin' it done!!
Stacey, that's pure poetry!
Yay Marion glad the dungeon has crumbled!! WTG!! I'll have a Shiners to help celebrate!
You know your GD sounds like a good match for the Zeke man. If they wouldn't tear the house down LOL.
Hope your car doesn't take too much work Audrey.
BJ are ya doing ok? ((hugs))) hope so!!!
We had fresh black eyed peas, cornbread, fresh tomatoes and peppers for supper MMMMM good!! Think I might go snack a little more...
Jojo, I'm holding my plate. Wait, what kind of pepper? Hot ones? No thank you, just he peas, cornbread, 'maters and some onion then. Pizza sounds bad now--you shouldn't have posted that.
Yeap, real progress made today. We get the rest of the sheetrock when I return from Gainesville and start putting it up next week. Now I feel like it is going somewhere!!!
Hummmm-Catie-Beth and the Zekester? You just might be right bout that! This one is a handful!!!!!
My neighbor put a washer on the battery post and it started! Loose connection!
Save me some!
Sorry Marion the peppers are hot ones. lemon drops, cayennes and jalepenos! Spicy!! My bells just didnt make this year :( always have a hard time with them down here.
But you are welcome to the rest! Plenty to go around, step right up Audrey!!
Yum, yum! But no peppers for me, either!!
I think when I get back home I am cooking a pot of black eyed peas. Mine are frozen (Mom gave them to me) but they will be good--especially if you're wanting some.
I've heard several people here say their bell peppers didn't do well this year. DD planted some cubano (?) and anahiem I think. Little ones but don't know if they will stay on the bush or not. Squash didn't set either--tons of bloom no squash!! Oh well have tomatoes and Japanese eggplant!!
That's what I have here..those ibachi eggplants, tomatoes and cayenne peppers.
Not a big fan of bell peppers, unless you skin it. Gives me too much acid.
Did y'all watch the new episode of Monk?
Well, gonna get another swap box ready... 3 more to go!
Have a good night everyone! BJ, hope you feel better tomorrow.
I love stuffed green peppers but DD doesn't like them at all--so not used much. Can't wait until the others get ready to pick so I can saute them and put over pasta!!!
I'm off to bed as I have a heavy--actually lightweight--date tomorrow and must be on my toes!! More than likely need Ben-gay tomorrow night. Good night all.
BJ take care of yourself!!
Gosh... thank you all for thinking of me yesterday. I do feel better this morning. BUT sheesh... I sure slept a lot yesterday. Didn't do anything at all during the day to get tired, and then slept all night too. That's so unusual for me... usually if I don't do enough to get tired, I can't sleep at night.
Darn, I missed the celebration last night.... CONGRATS Marion... I know that's such a good feeling when you can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I'm sure your DS will be finished with your craft room and guest room soon. Hope so, cause I'm watching Don's schedule for his next trip to Florida so I can tag along.
Well, my "Day Off" is over... and I must get busy today to catch up now. First off, guess I better get some groceries in this house... before we starve to death. AND I need to mow again, weed eat, and chip up some limbs that have piled up. Might not get a chance today to start building a boulder, maybe tomorrow.
Hey BJ hope I caught you before you get busy. Could you Dmail me your Address, can't find you in the exchange and want to get your gnome out to you.
You're so sweet JoJo... thank you so much...
Hope you and "Z" are feeling better too.
Good morning!!
BJ, you might be sleeping off a possible infection.. nature does that sometimes. Sometimes all that's required is body rest, to have the immune system does its' work.
Wow, the possibility of seeing your pudnah in DG, of course you must tag along BJ! Who else can report on her work with her dungeon :P
Jojo, do you still need her address, I could dmail you.
Can't believe that kitchen thingy project is finally 'cured'. Now to do some creative packing. Talk about creative packing. I used one whole roll of bubble wrap just to secure a ceramic toad.
This dial-up costs me minutes....I'm sure you got BJ's addy!
Yeah...is Zman back to his old self?
I got to go too...Post Office first and then groceries.
Have a fantastic Sat'day all!
