LOL Don takes the women's way out too. THANK GAWD.
psst... he takes our vehicles to the car wash too... the ones where someone else does the work...
Got half the yard weed eated... when I'm done, guess I'll go get groceries... Don's not up to a date tonight.
**SWEET INTERRUPTION** 7
WEll, thankfully my DH is NOT handy and has no dilusions to that fact!!LOL I was cracking up as that describes my uncles and gpa-except the driving after the beer part...
Ahh-LK-you are like a mystery plant on clearance sale from a nursery-you are happy to get a deal and surprised when it is a flower you have been looking for and could never afford-a great feeling of sweet plasure from a welcome surpise, something that you have been looking for for a long time and something that makes it completed. And you know as you watch it develop that you were NOT crazy for needing it so badly:)
I miss the places in AZ-for $25 you got an oil change and a complete wash inside & out in under an hour!! Haven't found anything like it since:(
How cool is that. Thanks Stacey! ^_^
Linda Kay
I feel like I am in a little game now-hehehehe....I know I am forgetting peoiple, I was just thinking of people who were on a the time:)
How about AuntB, and bettypauze?
Linda Kay
AuntB??? If that's BJ-I did hers earlier w/ Audrey & Kathy's in my 12:10 post:)
And I don't know Betty very well.....
Ya know... Stacey... you started something here... I gave a lot of thought while working in the yard what I envision everyone here to be like. I can only think of what I think they might wear... not that I'm any sort of fashion queen or anything... but I like to imagine what you all might be wearing and look like.
Stacey... I think you're usually wearing jeans and a button up shirt and tennis shoes. You're always ready for anything that might come up on the spur of the moment.
Jaye... you're most comfortable in a mu mu and sandals. And Kel is wearing a Hawaiian shirt to match. And you have a hibiscus flower in your hair.
Marion is wearing a flouncy blouse with ruffled sleeves and slacks with some really sassy silver sandals.
Kathy's wearing some walking shorts with a collared tee tucked in the waist with a belt, and a pair of leather sandals with heel straps.
Linda (Plano) is wearing capris with a tunic top and sandals.
Linda Kay is wearing slacks with a cotton floral top and loafers
JoJo is wearing a straw hat and overalls.
Audrey is wearing sleeveless top, shorts, and canvas tennis shoes.
LOl BJ-not usually!!LOL I am usually in shorts and a tank in the summer and FLIP FLOPS BABY (got the the feet tan lines to prove it), if I am not going anywhere, my Pj's (which are shorts & a tank) and in the winter sweats all the way!! If I am going somplace other than the grocery store, I do wear jeans-from Lany Bryant w/ a slightly flared bottom to even out my big booty and only if that button up shirt doesn't have to be irined-I would rather pick up poo out of the yard than iron....Oh and most of my shirts let "the girls" breathe and give em some sun:)
I picture LK & Audrey w/ the same stuff on....I picture jaye in something light and feminine-maybe a pair of white capries w/ a sleevelss top on w/ some delicate looking stitched flowers in it...
You-shorts and a slevelss top-some tennies-but usuall garden stuff-and a hat:)
Marion-a short sleved button down shirt w/ some large floral print or maybe thin pin stripes and a pair of jeans
Not sure about the others...
LOL it's funny how we all have pictures in our minds of each other. I twill be intersting to see how close we get one day. I seem to be the enigma LOL hee hee keep em guessing.
Well made "quick" trip to grocery store and now trying to cool off. Gotta go put the rest of it away...man its HOT!!!
The last time I took a car through a car wash, it stopped running right and threw a rod! Mine's gonna stay dirty!
(They wont let us wash cars here!)
Well I am home from shopping for school items for the GDs! What an experience--did you know each needs exactly 420 baby wipes? 8 rolls single sheet paper towels? I large papermate pink pear eraser? 3 boxes, 50 each 5 oz. paper cups? well you get the idea. Well folks I have news for you!!! They don't come packaged like that any more!! Papermate pink pear eraser is really pink pearl- 10 to a package. So on and so forth. Was fun but I am glad that is behind--wait what am I saying, it's not behind me!!! I have GDs!!
How very interesting all the descriptions are. So Audrey, nope all wrong, no pink fluffy ruffles on this lady. One of you if pretty close but I won't say which on at this point. No, Jaye not quite then to some degress you are right. Have to post my visuals when I am not so worn out from shopping with 2 fireballs of energy--both wanting my attention!
Well, You put my clothes on Audrey. LOL Always in shorts and a tank top, and if I have to go somewhere special, it is a nice pair of jeans and a nice top. Always go for comfort! No flip flops here, they are too bad for the poor aching feet. Gotta have arch support here. I wish I could wear them, but not in the past coiuple of years.
No hats.... well maybe if someone made us all some really cool red gardners hats!!! LOL
Linda Kay
And what does BJ wear? hmmmm, being on the lake, I can see her kicked back, with maybe some shorts or capris, and a nice shirt, or fancy t shirt.
Some pretty sandals, and maybe a hat for the sun protection??? and of course gotta have a tall cool glass of sweetened iced tea, with lemon?
Linda Kay
Ohhhh... Linda Kay... that really sounds like a wonderful look. HOWEVER... I haven't had time to KICK BACK yet... It's usually just work, work, work.
So, it's jean shorts, tank tops, and flip flops (the plastic kind with rubber soles). And, sometimes I even wear a bra... but not always. TMI? Of course, changing to go to the store means putting the bra on.
Now, when I go on a date with Don to the big city for shopping or dinner, I do wear capris, and a clean shirt... and flip flops (but my good ones)
Well, guess I missed on some of you... huh?
But, I'm with you Stacey... why get dressed if you don't have to? I wear my pj's around the house all day long if I don't have to go outside.
^_^
What do you think I am wearing today!!! & I am with you on the bra-once I walk through the door, if I am not expecting anyone-off it comes!! They are just not natural-my mom says I am gonna be sorry though-she said when I am her age the girls will be knocking at my knees!!ROFL!!!
AND THEY'RE HOT !!!!
Mine aren't big enough to go knocking on the knees... so I don't have that to worry about.
and make you sweat!! And help give you heat rashes!!
I don't think mine are THAT big, but big enough!!
I don't wear a bra unless I'm going somewhere! And MINE are big enough to hang! LOL! But it's shorts and teashirts for me, too! Daily! Even to Wal*Mart, and sometimes to the DR! He's seen me worse! I wear a lot of bright pink, fushia, red, and royal blue. And don't forget purple! As Loretta says, the gaudier the better!!
RE we talking about my dear Loretta-Dem?? Yes-that sounds like something she would say!! She is a HOOT-love her to death!! I am cleaning out her garage for her this fall-it is FULL of stuff!!:)
No, Loretta Lynn. I lived and worked not far from her Dude Ranch, and she'd come in to our garden center to but annuals for her house(mansion). She'd buy several flats of loud colors! Doo would bring her in, most of the time. She doesn't drive.
I have never met anyone famous before... came close to Garth Brooks once... just happened to be with Don when he was working the broadcast once, and Garth exited the AA Center via the back door where the trucks were parked. Got a good look at him though.
However, Don has met almost all the sports players... hockey, baseball, basketball... but he doesn't like any of them very much... so he doesn't claim to know any of them.
I agree with Don-met several celebs while in AZ-I was a server at the time-and the sports ones were RUDE!!! Escpecially Donavan McNab-quarterback for PA Eagles and Penny Hardaway-basketball payer for the AZ tema at the time. Phil Mickelson is nice though (golfer)-tips 100% of his bill:) and some of the hockey players weren't bad...
She's just plain ole' Loretta, just like she is on stage! She said she didn't know how to shop, she'd never been allowed to! I told her to put her hair in a ponytail pull off her sunglasses and come on in and shop, we'd teach her, and wouldn't bother her. And of course, one little snotnosed girl has to come running to her for her autograph!
If you ever get a chance, go to the Dude Ranch. It's lots of fun. They host an Indian powwow from all over America there just about every summer. It's great!
Now that sounds like fun Audrey... I'll have to put that on my "someday" list.
Don won't like it much though, he's more into the beach, or "tiki hut" type atmosphere.
So you all been busy playing the guessing game!
Pretttttttttty interesting.
Hmm, Stacey, I don't do white. I'll be always checking to see if there's any stain!
Well BJ, you took the prize. Around the house, it's something flowing.. oversized Mexican style dresses, and once in the garden, I just pull on a pair of pj pants, to ward off the mosquitos! But to the store or elsewhere in the summer, capri pants, and yes Stacey, floral shirts--small prints of course.
Kel goes shirtless in the yard.
As for bras..I hate wearing them. But I need those flopper stoppers!!
Let me see, Stacey is probably wearing shorts, and a real pretty t shirt in her favorite color, turqouise, yellow, pink, purple? And we know she likes flip flops, so they are most likely matching one of those colors?
And by now she has a Bailey's in her hand.
Linda Kay
Somehow I see our dearest Betty as the female Moses...leading her lost flock.
YEAH !!! I got one almost right... Jaye, I just knew you would be the most comfy one of us.
I'd wear a mu mu all the time if I didn't have to bend over so much outside. It just makes sense to wear shorts. I only own one loose dress though, not a mu mu, but a sun dress that kinda resembles a mu mu. Maybe this winter I'll make me some more. Got to get ready for the time when I can become the lady of leisure, ya know.
I have the oddest body shape. Imagine a pyramid upside down, that's me! It makes sense to just wear muu-muu like clothes around the house, too comfy.
Got this tonight.
Here is a soldier stationed in Iraq , stationed in a big sand box. He asked his wife to send him dirt ( U.S. soil), fertilizer, and some grass seed so that he can have the sweet aroma, and feel the grass grow beneath his feet When the men of the squadron have a mission that they are going on, they take turns walking through the grass and the American soil -- to bring them good luck.
If you notice, he is even cutting the grass with a pair of a scissors. Sometimes we are in such a hurry that we don't stop and think about the little things that we take for granted.
That is way too cool... I'm so glad that this man made that possible for his whole squadron. Yep, it's the simple things they miss the most...
I would miss walking through it in bare feet-there is nothing better than walking through YOUR grass in the am w/ morning dew stil on it w/ bare feet-IMHO
And nope-I have been in my Pj's all day-turquoise shorts and an orange tank top and fluffy prurple slippers!!LOL
Just got through making a big pot of refrigerator blue berry preserves. No sugar, just using 'sweet and low' and sugar free pectin. Don't know how it will turn out.
There are not too many preserves that I don't like :( Especially good fig preserves.
You're right Stacey, it's one of those natural highs... walking barefoot on the grass or on the beach.
Lucky you, Stacey... I had to get dressed today. Twice.
Had to shower after mowing and weed eating before going to get groceries.
Well, Don's already horizontal, and watching something boring to get to sleep. I think I'll join him.
Sweet Dreams everyone.
Looks like bed is calling me too.
Rainbow dreams everyone!
OOOOOOOhhhh, What a lady of liesure!!! ^_^
Linda Kay
nighty night-I have been doind swap presents and my ees are all blurry form the little stuff!!LOL
LOL-Lasy of leisure my butt!! I just didn't have anyplace to go and with the rain, no outside work wither-I did venture int the back yard to see what new was blooming during the misty period:)
