New MG's for me 2008 #3

Gautier, MS

Hi Becky, yes I already collected a few seeds from Fujishibori and will be glad to share with you. I'm collecting a few seeds from diferent vines each day and I still have a few that are mature but haven't bloomed yet. I also started other young vines that will bloom later on.

Here's Pink Mist-Lavender Mist.

Helena, Your Pink/Lavender frost is really pretty.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Jackie, I had several blooms from it & it looks like it may be on it's own vine.

I like this blooms even though it's without a name.

Helena,

As always, Awesome blooms. . .

Your Beautiful Bloom here
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=5349216

looks like 'Pink Mist' which is a sport of my 'Plum Frost'.

I did have 'Pink Mist' and 'Lavender Mist' growing near each other last year, so I am guessing that I accidentally mixed in some of the 'Pink Mist'.

Here is a photo of my 'Pink Mist' from last year . . .

Well, thank you Emma. It is a beautiful Pink Mist!! I noticed right away that it was different from the others and tag the blooms.

This bloomed today & it's from your gift mix Emma. Could it be Pink Frost?

I had so many blooms today again so do you guys mind if I bore you with a few pictures?

There's still hope for Plum Surprise. There was about 8 blooms on it today, the most it ever bloomed and I actually saw a bumblebee go to one of the blooms.

This is the other that is a good bloomer, I noticed that it already had a spent bloom next to it. I can't think of a good name for it. Any suggestions?

Helena -

I believe you and Ron are right that your Plum Surprise crossed with one of the Fuji's. I did have some growing not far away of Ao; Murasaki; and Beni

These blooms are unbelievable

Really like this one

This one looks like it may be from the MGs I grew last year that I named 'Jordin Rose' but I can't say for sure. 'Jordin Rose' had many different patterns.

Wow

Thank you Joseph. I have 2 vines from Emma & the first 2 blooms were even more showier so maybe as it matures it'll have those blooms too. I can't tell which vine had them now.

Here's the other bloom from Emmas gift.

I did have a vine growing last year and would have to go back to notes to see what Ron ID'd it as.

Thank you Emma, you have some gorgeous blooms. Love them all!

Emma, this was the first bloom from one of the vines.

Thanks Helena,

Still hard to say what your bloom is. The Pink Frosts that I did grow were sports of Plum Frost and all had Variegated Leaves and your bloom doesn't. Still possible it is one of the 'Jordin Rose' blooms. 'JR' also had some Blizzard-Type Blooms as well with a Star Pattern.

Emma that is a awesome bloom from Jordin Rose, I like it very much. I think my vines will start having more blooms so I'll be able to post different ones & compare. Thank you again Emma for the gifts.

Emma, I just feel very lucky. Went to check for which had variagated leaves & saw that this one does, more on top of the fence than on bottom.

It's such a pleasure to see all these beautiful looking blooms from everyone! You know ... every season I think it can't get any better than the current one and then y'all go and grow out some more amazing vines and just blow my mind! I am sure enjoying them all! :-)

Jacksonville, TX(Zone 8a)

Helena,

Great, knowing your bloom has variegated leaves will narrow down the ID.

Jackie -

Thank you. I too really enjoyed the Jordin Rose last year. Didn't grow it this year but will for sure another time.

Wow, what a bloom

I wish I could tell you what the Pink Blooms are but I can't. So, we must assume this is a cross because I don't remember anything like this blooming in that area or that I grew last year.
