Beautiful Clemen.

(Kim) Philadelphi, PA(Zone 6a)

Hey Clem!! She is lovely.

Gilmer, TX(Zone 8a)

Okay, I admit it. I read through about half what I missed then skipped down. I'llgo back later. There is just entirely too much talking going on here. LOL

I have an alien jasmine, I think. I pulled some curtains back and I guess I had a little crack at the bottom, cause there was jasmine coming in!! You can't kill that stuff. I only have the one and for a long time it was in a pot. Then I was going to move it and of course the roots were in the ground really good. Just jerked it up and put it in the ground. Never lost a beat, just kept growing.
It's a confederate jasmine.

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

Thank you guys, just wanted to share my lovely flowers with all of you! Clemen

ONE MORE, My son Copo today, sunbathing on our boat, lol, can't you just eat him up!

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

Hey.. everyone.... here I sit sweating bullets...lol.. our A/c is OUT... don't ya know it never goes out on a 75 degree day???? I knew it was kinda warm earlier... got a call in to our A/c guy... ohhh I wish he'd hurry and call.. BUT I guarantee I will be staying in the camper tonight!! And of all days.. I knew I ahd to do something with all my tomatoes.. so I have been trying to cook them down too!! My DD and family are here in TX to get my GS.. but at least they are at her Daddy's house... She wants to go shopping tomorrow.. soooo that is why I have to do the maters today.. say a lil prayer for me please??? AND not only about the heat..hehe

Bout time you got your butt back home Lorraine...hehe

Bonnie.. I got naners at the last RU... and I already have some lil ones coming up.. if you want some. I am hoping I will get bananas someday since I can leave them in the ground here... yeah.. you KNOW I'll be running my mouth on the greenhouse..hehe... sure would be nice to move your plants to the "new" greenhouse come winter.. THAN lugging them into the basement.. but I envy you that.. I would be happy with a basement even..

Kim... don't if figure???? My DH says he has good STUFF.. it's only my "junk" he has problems with...

Louise./. that recipe sounds goood.. gotta copy it.. My DH loves cabbage rolls, and I have never made them.

Where are you Clemie huh?? you pop in and pop out.. well at least we know you are ok...

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Beck, Beck, Beck.. I don't lug them, the kids do! lol Really, my basement has a walk out garage at one end, we load them in the little trailer and pull them around to the door with the lawn mower.. no lugging up and down stairs, at least. But we do make several trips. I'll be praying for ya on those maters.. So sorry you are dealing with not having the air conditioning... that's awful. Hottest day we've had this summer..

(Louise) Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

bonnie polish sweet and sour sauce is easy to make. One giant can tomato sauce, one giant can crushed tomatoes, some grated garlic, brown sugar, and cider vinegar to taste. I add a few beef bouillion cubes and bring it to a boil and pour over cabbage rolls. easy peasy. do not know if you can buy it, but I don't think so. Clemen, love the flowers and your little son is sooooo cute! Our Rosie is our baby too.
Delivered the cabbage rolls and she loved them, and they were very tasty if I say so myself hehe.

(Louise) Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

Oh Beck, no air, that is just awful!!! I still have to plant a rose bush but it is so hot I said forget it lol.

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Louise, I was wondering what your little girl's name was. Rosie, that is cute. Ok, I get it now on the recipe. I'm anxious to try it.

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Hope mine doesn't go out! It's still 88* at 8:30 PM!

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

BECKIE, SORRY about the ac, I am sending nice breezes tonight, it actually feels like fall evenning, unbelievable for July and after a hot day today, love you all, clem

(Kim) Philadelphi, PA(Zone 6a)

Becky get yourself to the camper!!! Here is MEM opening for the evening..she is all white wonder how pink she will get in all this heat?
Bloom is open all the way now too dark to get a pic but not too dark for the skeeters to get me!!!

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

(Kim) Philadelphi, PA(Zone 6a)

Nite Audrey hope ya feel better in the morning! I just did my last peep of the night she is a pale pink...she is a big one AuntB!

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

LOL... ty for the concern hotties... but I am ONE hardheaded NUT.... I have been canning tomato juice.... in this HEAT... I never said I was the smartest kid on the block.. hehe My DD is coming over tomorrow and I knew I had to get these done tonight.. cause we are going shopping...soooo. I am going to finish it up in the camper though.... just got it strained here in the hot box.... BUT our a/c guy finally called and said it wasn't getting electricity.. and since we are going to sleep in the camper I told him to wait till tomorrow..

Ty for the breezes Clem... it is pretty nice outside... oh ssooooo cute is your baby boy...!!! Love the sunglasses!!

Bonnie.. well I didn't think you really lugged them all the way down steps..hehe BUT wouldn't it be sooo nice to carry them( any way you choose) to your NEW greenhouse?? You lucky stiff having your son and buddies to help you... I have to do it all myself if it gets done... humph!!

OK Louise... you make the polish sweet and sour sauce sound soo easy.. but when you don't know what it tastes like it is kinda hard to just whip up a batch.. hehe

Sorry Audrey on the pinky giving you fits.. is it going to rain?? Mine bothers me then..

OK.. girlies.. gonna check a few more threads, but since ya'll are my fav had to check in here first... nite hottie sis's...

Gilmer, TX(Zone 8a)

Get to the camper Beck. Mine did that last year, hottest day of the year. It was Sunday, so I knew I'd have to wait till Monday, then called anyway, and he came right out. Took about 5 minutes to fix it and I'd been sweating all day!!!

Just stay cool tonight and you'll get it tomorrow!!

Ok, brug talk. When do you cut back your brugs for the winter? Or do you cut them back? How much? Now, that oughta take some time! lol

I have a brug I got from Maggi, and all it had on it was MEM, I thought it was initials, but now I know what it will look like. Yea.

Happy, my brug is lookin good, growing new leaves!!

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

I am soooo disappointed about the ru! dang nab it!!!!!

I have one banana, two bananas, three...LOL no I have one musa banana that they told me was zone 5 hardy but I don't trust them. It goes in the garden room.

HOT! I went out at 9pm to take a start of a hosta had my glasses fogged up! Hottie hottie, DH and I were out earlier and I was just melting. I asked him if it was hot in there or if I was dying...he said it wasn't hot!!! This hottie was melting!

Beautiful yellow bloom, beautiful little pup with sunglasses...LOL what a cutie.

Oh forgot how could I do that....Moster is starting to bloom, one big bloom tonight! Yeah!

Got to go to bed, stayed up too late last night and DH had me up bright and early to start working on the garden room.
Nitie all....

I worked in the un a/c garden room most of the day, some day I may have this thing done.

(Kim) Philadelphi, PA(Zone 6a)

Lorraine in your zone I don't know when you would cut or if you need to cut them. Me when frost comes a calling then I will. Calling AuntB: )

(Kim) Philadelphi, PA(Zone 6a)

Joyce why don't you trust them???lol... It's prolly a Basjoo.

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Yes, Lorraine, Miss Emily MacKenzie, she's one of IF not the biggest bloomers! Keep us updated with pics, Please, Kim? I try not to cut on mine much. I think anytime is okay depending on what you are cutting for or doing with the cuttings. I just snapped off some suckers of Versi yesterday, I've got them in water waiting for me to pot up. Once potted, I'll keep them in a dappled shady spot where it's cooler until I see growth. They will make nice rooted cuttings for fall swaps and RU's. Here, if I'm cutting clear back, I wait until there's a frost warning, cause I NEED every bit of summer/fall bloom time in I can get. You're in zone 8, I think you can leave them in the ground w/some protection if there's frost. Amanda, you're in zone 8.. Some like to shape them, but when you cut a tip, you're cutting away future blooms. Sometimes you have to, my ceilings are only 8 ft in the basment.

(Kim) Philadelphi, PA(Zone 6a)

No problem I will take one in he morning.

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

I know basjoo as Musa Basjoo, it is possible to grow it hardy. Joyce, I'm crying big tears about you not making it to the RU... I was so looking forward to bringing special things for you. Mini hottie RU is in order. We'll have to do something, I am taking a few brug cuttings, ya know, not just Versi. I'm trimming a few up a bit so the mother plant can put that energy into making blooms. I'm starting to get mighty impatient over here. I'll get the ingredients for the dirty cabbage tomorrow. MMmmm, sounds so good.

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Kim, the exotic, what are you taking one of in the morning? Do I need to sign off and get some rest?

(Louise) Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

lol dirty cabbage, I like that name. Beck you want it to be a little tart and a little sweet. How much of each is an individual taste. Just start with about 1/4 c brown sugar and 1/4 c cider vinegar and adjust from there. Not packed on the brown sugar. I like garlic in mine and beef bouillion cubes. Add more of anything if you like it that way.

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Lavender, I wasn't trying to rename your dish.. It's Cabbage and Dirty Rice.. guess the cabbage would get some "dirty" from the rice on it. lol Sounds delish with the b.sugar vinegar and garlic, I think I have bouillion cubes.

(Louise) Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

I like it. Dirty cabbage hehe. you do not have to use the cubes, I just think it adds a little depth to the sauce. Polish sweet and sour sauce is like meat loaf. Every cook does it a little differently. lol

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

This Hottie is fizzling out, nite nite dear Hotties.

(Kim) Philadelphi, PA(Zone 6a)

Godd Morning Hotties!!
AuntB I was talking about a MEM update :) I am runnin a tad late so will post when I get home.
Have a Great Day Y'all : )

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

The temp said 80 percent humidity! Wowzer! No wonder my glasses fog up when I go outside!

Hottie mini ru sounds great! I am up for that.

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Yes Joyce, it's going to be another scorcher, low 100's. It wasn't too bad w/ coffee on the deck this a.m., but by the time I left for work, I think the humidity must have risen 25%. We'll coordinate for the HMRU. Mornin' Hotties! :)

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

Mornin hotties... I came to the house.. and good thing.. my DD is on her way.. course I had the phone in the camper too..hehe.. anyway.. ya'll come first..LOL she will have to wait... I am sitting here in my gown cause the ol body will NOT move too good just yet..

My lil man Vance is supposed to get here about 10 to fix the A/C... I will probably be gone by then.. DD wants to go see my Momma and go thrift store shopping.. ohh Bonnie I have been on the trash to treasure and the concrete forums... thsy say you can make the lil balls out of styrofoam.. but that they are HIGH in $$ soo I am hoping to find one there.. I think he said 8.95 for a 8" ball... that's ridiculous.

Joyce.. I know all about the steam on the glasses ..LOL that is TX everyday...

Bonnie.. That HMRU...???? Is that the Hottie Mommas Round UP??????

Lorraine... I think the thing to do would be to either bring the brugs inside before the first frost.. or if in the ground take lots of cuttings. They will all die to the ground outside, but come back in the spring. I am reading that lots like to leave them in the pot cause you can still gets blooms indoors in the winter, and then of course those plants will already have a head start on the ones that are planted in the ground come spring

TTYL... Here's hoping I get lots of goodies..hehe.. OHH I LUV going to the thrift stores.... See ya .. hotties..

(Louise) Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

morning hotties! It IS going to be hot today! Got out and watered before the blazing heat. I see that the cable guy broke some of my plants yesterday and left an old sat dish laying in my pumpkin patch. MEN sheesh. I even have to clean up after the ones that aren't mine lol. Gotta go and get some garden chores done before it gets hot!
