My Tall Mexican Petunias are also thriving in the heat. I really like these guys, but I'm not crazy about how prolific they are! LOL

TJ, the crimiums from Mitch and also the Red Hot Poker has not yet bloomed for me. What are you doing to help them?

Christi

Had my first blooms from a brug I planted from seed last year. The ones from Randy are huge and healthy, just haven't bloomed yet.

Waxahachie, TX(Zone 8a)

Nothing special, just lots of sunshine and some water here and there. Still waiting on my Brugs to bloom, too.

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

fun thread to see! thanks

Baytown, TX(Zone 9a)

Great shots everyone! Love them!

TJ, I am amazed that you Allysum looks so SPECTACULAR! I thought it frizzled in our heat?

By the way, I have 2 Sawleaf Daisies (grown from seed you gave me) that are well over 7 feet tall. Still not blooming, though.

Hello Carla, my friend! I'll save you some Alyssum seed, they seem to have adapted to the heat. The sawleaf daisies will bloom soon. I think they started about mid August last year. Are they just one stalk each or do they branch out?

Rowlett, TX(Zone 8a)

The Daisies are one stalk each. Very erect and healthy, can't wait till they bloom. And the Cowpen Daisies are even better than I had hoped.

Great pictures everyone.
LouC I have every plant you can think of for the butterflies. I have seen a total of 3 this year. I hope it will be better next year. Cindy

This is a beautiful plant easy to grow from seed.

I love Duranta when it is allowed to become a tree. Look at the wonderful berries on it right now......

those colors are so pretty--i am not familiar with that plant--and can't quite tell -are they blue and orange flowers / two different plants? perennial?

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Uh oh........I know they are very hardy here but I will look it up for you..................the flowers are actually a bright purple-blue color and the berries are a deep gold color..............

I can't even find anything for Duranta except an ugly yellow something................maybe Lin will be back...........I can't find a botanical name for it.
