Morning y'all! Wonder if BJ and Don got to their hotel room yet. Oh wouldn't it be nice if we all could be there....
oh well, happy to be be doing the morning chores today. Cloudy skies and I don't expect a single drop, so watered all the plants. A one and a half hour chore.
Marion, did you see the brug co-op offered. Sis told me about it and of course, I'd be interested. If they have some nice doubles....

just got back from the doctor. said i have vertigo

Hi Sis. I had vertigo once..but caused by an inner ear infection. Will you be taking more tests to make sure it's not neurological?

I lose my balance sometimes, but one of the side effects of the many meds I'm taking now.

Kel just said he'll be getting vertigo soon..if I don't quit yelling into his ears!!! Lol!!

So...antibiotics for the next few days? This is the time of the year when things growing can play havoc on both sinuses and allergies.

Okay, got 3 swaps out, (yours was mailed from PA) and 3 more to go. Sheesh, hope I don't get a dmail saying I've forgotten someone!

i bought these. the one i traded bully for aren't hatched yet. yeah, gumbo and tater salad. i can taste it now

Knowing you, you'd give them names and turned them into pets. I can't kill the guineas we had, but late FIL didn't mind :(

Look at the ones sleeping in the food bowl and sitting up!!! Ooooh sooo adorable. I can hug all of them..
So she distinguised them by the color ropes. How smart. Of course they're sold fast...champion pedigrees!!

Ex nephew had a standard Eskimo once. He wanted its' coat to be more "white". One day he added that blueing rinse in their bath water..you know the kind to make white shirts more white? Well, needless to say, he got poor Christian (the pup) looks like a smurf dog!!

We made it to Denver, just to find out the schedule has changed... we don't have to be anywhere till 5pm tomorrow evening to the BBQ at the owner's house. Then Don has one meeting on Wed, and we're flying home that night. SOOOOO.... we have a 2 day vacation courtesy of the company... and I refuse to waste it...
We're off to sunny Golden, CO (Don's idea)... on the way to Black Hawk where the casinos are... then tomorrow, we're going to climb Pikes Peak by way of a train.
I'll take lots of pictures, and post if I can. Don's computer is a little different than mine, so.... I'll have to get him to show me where the card slot is. Right now, he and his buddies are all downstairs having a beer... better go rescue them before Don gets loud or something.

Oh Betty, wish you hadn't posted those pictures. Makes me want a dog again but alas can't have one here on the lake. To much red tape to go through for fencing and wouldn't want to run the risk of it getting eaten by the resident alligator. Just have to love on those pictures I guess.

Sounds like BJ is having a good time--glad when she is home and can keep us all straight again. LOL

the first time I came to this great country, ex-H always bring me out to fancy restaurants.
One evening, he brought me to this high falutin' Cajun restaurant called Toby's in Lafayette. On the menu, they had frog legs. I love frog legs and hadn't eaten them since I left Singapore.
Well, I ordered a dozen, couldn't understand why there'll be only 2 on the plate. Waiter raised his eyebrows, and I insisted I wanted a dozen. Ex-H convinced me to try out 2 and if I weren't full with those, to place another order.
I relented.
When the dish came...I jumped out of my chair and hollered.. "They're NOT frog legs, they're chicken legs!!!!!!"
See folks, back in South East Asia, our frog legs are the size of chicken drummettes......
Since then, I never touch any frog legs here!

ROFLOL Jaye, but the flavor hasn't changed--just the size!

If you say so...I'll let you have the frog legs...I'll take beef liver anytime!!! :P

Good grief no!! Wasted all day in town with getting my glasses fixed and daughter trying to get her new contact corrected. She is having a great deal of trouble and could get a "walk in" late this afternoon. So rather than drive all the way back home, we stayed, had a nice late lunch and went to her appointment. No work today but back in their tomorrow. Some more ripping out before we start again.

Won't you be glad when that's over...wait...then there are more that I'm sure your DS would be suggesting you should do..don't let him Marion, unless it's the garden!

When it's done, it will be very small things then! I need to get reaquainted with my sewing machines and back into my yard more than I am doing right now. The heat slows me up now also. DD goes back to work the 28th of this month so I will be able to accomplish much more then! School starts earlier and earlier!!

I'm off to bed, really tired tonight and my eyes are still bothering me from wearing my old glasses. Rough getting old!! LOL

Well, Good morning to you all.
Shhhh... Don's still asleep... he imbibed a bit too much last night with his buddies. Last night we met all the other employees at Jack's Bar & Grill across the street from the hotel. We left them about 9pm still drinking. We were passed out by 9:30... and all I had was one cocktail... barely made it back to our room
Yesterday we drove up into the mountain with another couple. Stopped at the casinos in Black Hawk for a little while and then took a different route back... what a beautiful drive. Don won about the same amount as I lost... but oh well, it was fun. And the scenery was absolutely beautiful...
Today, we're taking the 10:40 train up Pike's Peak... then back by 5pm for the big tadoo at Uncle Phil's (what the employees call the owner) house for bbq.
