I need to borrow your little red tractor and some of those stones, DonnieBrook, if you don't mind.
Garden Photos - Part 22
Willie - my DH bought that pretty red tractor - a Ford Jubilee from 1954 - to do just what you are doing. We have a lot of old stone walls on our property and all along the dirt road we are on, and his game plan is to rebuild the walls using the bucket loader on the tractor to move the stones around. "Lydia", our tractor has been called into action so far to do lots of other tasks as well. If I could, I'd deliver her to you! LOL
I have no idea, Chuck, but it has a nice shape to the leaf! No harm, no foul! LOL
I hope it isn't Ranunculus ficaria

Celeste - don't you call those pretty daisies weeds! i'd never heard the term "volunteer" in regard to plants before DG, but i like it...
i wish some daisies would volunteer for me! Love the DL "Getting Thinned Out This Fall", though it's kind of a long name. Great contrasting colors...
Well, I think that is one awesome Lydia! Makes me think of my great aunt Lydia, and all her stories. She was a small town historian in central NY.
My aunt Ruth and aunt Marge used to have a Model A from like 1909 they used on their farm.
I think I need to get me a farm, this suburbia life is stifling.... :-)
Love that Startle, Brigitte!
Very pretty cross too, Brigitte!
Victor - at the top of the thread you posted a pic of that gorgeous Mauna Loa. Wow! I thought you don't do any oranges??? If you're ever going to make an exception, that one is IT!
Wow, Brigitte - that is gorgeous!
You know it is funny to read that victor doesn't do any oranges....well I don't either...and guess what 2 of my own DL crosses bloomed a few days ago .One is a VIBRANT orange, probably a Sib.and the other one is a ruffled orange.Nice ruffles but where the heck they came from I don't know ?...I only crossed pinks,purples/wine colors etc.
That's funny, Brigitte. My rule is: rules are made to be (occasionally) broken!
Thank you so much.I startet my gardens in April of last year and been planting ever since.
Went to some Nurseries today, brought home 4 more roses+perennials because they were on sale.OH BOY ...I need help!!!
(BTW I startet a thread "Rose gardening in Maine ' thread where I am planning to post alot of pictures)
Victor...LOL..you're right..but was I surprised/disappointed to see those colors,not what I exspected at all !!
The sales are really great out there now at the Garden places in my area. It is very tempting!!
Say that again....oh man I better go to a 112 step programm.
Great shots, Dawn. Nice wall!
The 112 step program. For REALLY serious garden addicts.
Here are 2 of my "Limelight" 4 o'clocks making buds. Every one i planted last year was weedwhacked or pulled as a weed by landlord's helpers (even after i put up a wire fence!) i am excited to see them bloom soon. But i actually love the foliage - i don't know if it is supposed to have the dark green spots, but i sure do like it that way!
Very nice! I like that one!
Thanks!
That's my #1 baby. He looks like he could EAT all those boring landlord planted "Happy Returns"!
mwahhahaha.
^_^
wonderful shots today... everyone!!!

i had no clue what i was getting into when i got it, but now i love it!
i think you went home with one out of the same 6 pack, Allison... Though the flowers show quite a range in size, so who knows!
it's a tiny yellow one.... and thanks again!!!
