Garden Photos - Part 22

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

You're killing me with those great dark DL's, Celeste. Here is Cedar Waxwing again. A bit pinker than my first shot the other day.

Oh my goodness, Victor!
Is that red on that glorious speckled NOIDY lily? If so, I must find it somewhere and put it in our garden. It's so beautiful!!!!

Yes, it's a deep red, Candyce, and I love how they are protruding from the petals. I'll try to find the name. Just found the phlox - it's Ping Pong. Cool dahlia, Bill.

Here's my favorite red so far ... and a very dear NEG person visited today and showed me how to make it 'talk'!

I don't think we ever 'slow down', Bill
^_^

What do I do with this? Part sun, apply root stimulator. Marked down to 111.00, was 149. Jim bought it for me as he knew I liked them. I would not have paid that much ! So I dont want to kill it. Tell me what in the heck to do.

I'm doing 3-16 hour shifts back to back to back, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I won't be posting any pics until Monday sometime. I have a few :-)

Just so no one worries where I am at! lol

Have to go get ready for work now. Have a great weekend everyone, and I'm sure I will have catching up to do come Monday. This thread usually hits about 290 something in a matter of days!

When you get back to us on Monday, Thom, you'll have to look for the next thread in this series!!!

Dunno about the tree, Sherrie. What a coup, though ~ lucky you.

Here's the BESV which I had to start twice from seed. The cats ate the first ones. This second sowing was begun in late April.

A NOID snapdragon. the plant always looks like it is dying, or at east on its last legs, but then it blooms with these pretty-shaped blossoms.

Our Echinacea is almost ready to bloom. It's the first year we've had any.

Nice JM, Sherrie. Plant it now or wait until fall if you prefer. If you keep it in the pot, make sure it gets enough water and don't let it get too much sun - a few hours of AM sun. Not knowing anything about the variety, JM's in general do best with morning sun or dappled sun throughout the day. They need good drainage!

I took this photo for Anna. It's the first blossom on the Sweet Pea. She will be so surprised when she gets home from work tonight.

The photo is awfully blurry, so I apologize for that.

Very nice, Candyce. So how does it talk?! I think my lily is Muscadet. Have a good weekend, Thom. Guess you need to pay for all those plants!

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Victor ~ you'll have to ask Louise. She showed me where to gently pinch the edge of the blossoms so that it looks like it is talking. Too cute!!

LOL, Victor...Where have you been? I thought everyone learned to "talk the Snapdragons" as kids!

Nilwood, IL(Zone 5b)

You all have lots of DL. Do you know this one. I took this and two secs later a real close one up inside. Thanks BEV
