I am SO HAPPY that the stupid humidity is at a more comfortable level this morning! The storms thar came through yesterday afternoon did the trick. I like the heat of the summer. I just can't stand to swim through the air that I'm trying to breathe!!

So, right now ...
64° and sunny
Wind: W at 6
Humidity: 81% (at least it's more comfortable!)
Dewpoint: 65°
Pressure: 29.74 in. and rising.

Feel better everyone!

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

DG must be having an issue this morning - the pages load, but no pics.... The previous thread made mention to the meaning of Donniebrooks name..of course that meant I had to google... http://www.worldwidewords.org/weirdwords/ww-don1.htm

It's a beautiful morning. I'm taking my coffee and going to sit outside. I need to get myself a lap top, so I can do this on the patio.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

beautiful out... 70 with low humidity ... woo hoo

Southeastern, CT(Zone 6a)

Beautiful here too. 72° - 66% humidity.

The kinks seem to be worked out now, too. Everything is loading fine.

Much better today but the humidity is due back on Sat!

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

A balmy 78 degrees here. The stupid humidity has gone away but we didn't get any rain here again. :( Means I will have to drag the hose out tomorrow. Bright blue sky to start out and a good steady breeze.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Beautiful day. Hot in the sun, but great breeze. Bummer that we got no rain though. Gonna have to water more than I had hoped to. 77 and sunny.

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

gorgeous around here... we did get tons of rain... so I go home today to plant roses and weed... my kind of gardening day!!!!

South Hamilton, MA

Near 2 1/2 inches late p.m. Cooler but still hot in the sun. First irises arrived last night & I am not ready for them. They are large enough to sit awhile. Must move extant plants around first. No rain predicted from now until Sun.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Don't look if you're squeamish! Rattler dining on a chipmunk in the area where I hike. This was from a friend.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Not looking at that Victor, thanks for the warning. It got to around 84 degrees here today. Not stupid hot, just plenty hot. Nice dry air and breeze did help in the sun. Got my second bee sting a few minutes ago. Was out finishing tying up and cutting back a few things and must have got too close to a yellow-jackets' nest. Little bugger got me right on my index finger. Had a wasp or hornet give me a really good one on my arm a few weeks ago. Haven't had a bee sting in maybe 35-40 years, now two in a months time,go figure.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Ouch! I'd be swelling up by now.

Southern Dutchess Co, NY(Zone 5b)

Great pic, Victor! If it was anything (almost) except a rattle snake, I'd say send it here! Too many chipmunks, rabbits and other vermin for my liking. I'd say send the snake if it ate deer!

Although the temp is still up around 80, the humidity is at 37%!!! I 'll take it! I'm sure things won't remain this way for long.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes, Lynn, a deer-eating snake is what I would ask Santa for! This low humidity and nice breeze are a gift. Pretty hot for my stickball game Saturday.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Thats what nightmares are made of!!!!! YUK!!

Southern Dutchess Co, NY(Zone 5b)

The deer are nightmare enough! And they always have twins or triplets up here. Must be the good eats!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

That's a nightmare photo for me!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

But they are so pretty! says the lady w/4dogs so they don't ever come close to bother my plants.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

They are very cute, in any other yard but mine. They are still in woods with Mom but will start joining up with the buck that I have to chase away every couple of weeks and start looking for yummy things to fatten up for winter. I already support a herd of chipmunks and squirrels, birds, butterflies skunks, raccoons, bees and this year three turkeys that have gotten very big. I even gave the monster bunny to the fox family. The deer can have the 80 acres of conservation woods in back of my house and then everyone will be happy.

Wonderful day and night here, too! Good sleeping weather. Hope I don't dream about monster deer or chipmunks or squirrels or.....WEEDS!

Temp is falling through the 70's now on the way to (please Lord, let this be true!) 56 degrees tonight! Let the humidity be even lower than the temp!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Nice moon shot, WC.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

It was stinkin' hot in the sun today the humidity dropped a little. Still hazy though. Went to our local fair that runs every year at a horse park. Had some ice cream and kettle corn. My 5 year old did some rides. Saw a sea lion show. Did get a little chilly around 10:30pm in the boonies.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

when I had the barrel horse.... I raced there every year Jen

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Someone is the neighborhood has there woodstove going, as I can smell wood smoke wafting on this morning's breeze. Yeah, it's that chilly here this morning. My trusty weatherbug says 55. It was a great night for sleeping though!! I must have hit the snooze alarm four times this morning ~ LOL!

Currently:
