Wish my humidity was 51%!! Mine is about 68% right now.
Today's Weather in Your Garden - 25
muggy... sticky... hot... not complaining much... at least I can see flowers.... tons of color...
We're at 77° with 79% humidity. Nice breeze.
WC - I love the shore in the winter. No tourists!!
... I take my 4x4 and go where the tourists cant! ☺
- He loves to take showers when it's hot...
Oh isn't he pretty WC. Great shot!
89 degrees, 60% humidity here.
Y'all are wimps about summertime!
Average temp for July in New Haven is 78. Average temp in STL is 90.
i've been making DH spend time outdoors so he doesn't die in the heat next week...
; )
It's nasty out, hard to breath. I'm with you Victor I'm sooo NOT a summer person.
Great oriole shots, WC. They are so striking! He knows how to stay cool.
Love that last shot. she looks so incredibly relaxed!!!
LOL - Love that one, too! You either have a great long shot camera, or they aren't the slightest bit concerned about your presence.
She's not scared of me, too busy finding nectar, 3 feet from my window.
I was going to be sneaky about taking her pic opening the window slowly when the A/C kicked in and she looked at me... didn't phase her a bit! Just kept on crawling all over my clematis! So I opened it up naturally and she just stayed and kept doing what she was doing!
I've already had a Blue Jay nest, now I have a Mockingbird nest and a Robin nest in my yards. I think she must know she can trust me, considering I never bother the nests & I have birdfeeders, so she figures It must be a safe place to 'hang out'. ☺
Your Oriole looks like a young fledgling.
You are so lucky to have them so close.
My wrens are making family #2.
Love the songs in the garden, no wonder winter is soo hard.
Yes there are two ge1836. First pic has female coloration, second two pics have fledgling coloration, they both hang out together while the male keeps watch from the tree tops... (until I turn on the sprinklers ☺).
Temp 79.1°, Rh 56%, wind SSW 0.6 mph, Baro still dropping @ 29.55↓
Sherrie-
Part sun- needs 1/2 day of sunlight hot afternoon sun is fine
Part shade- needs 1/2 day of shade with morning sun best
Okay - now what about partly sunny vs. partly cloudy??
I have never seen an Oriole :(
It's stupid hot here.
It's wicked humid here.
The stupid, wicked Thunderheads are forming but doing nothing....
It's been at least 10 minutes now while I thawed a couple of shrimp for a feral cat....haven't seen one of those for 15 years.....and it's still stupid, wicked hot and humid. Does anyone else here spend their Wednesday evenings defosting shrimp for feral cats? And I put it in a saucer with some 2% milk. Looked thin so I added some 1/2 & 1/2.
He's (or she) a good cat though. Kills the little varmints in the front beds.
Good Kitty
DH has the AC down to 65..... I have to go outside to get warm. I don't mind warm, but this is sticky, sticky, sticky! One of those 2 maybe 3 showers day.
Hot and disgusting inland RI, cooler but still humid on the coast, decent ocean breeze late this afternoon.
Wow - 65 is cold, Celeste! That will be a nice a/c bill.
- Just started raining here.
Raining in Queens - Mets are delayed. Still nada here!
Rainy night.
I made him turn it up to 70,I had enough of the deep freeze last winter.
Right now it is still humid but cooler.
Partly Cloudy 73°
Barometer:29.61 in and rising
Humidity:83%
Visibility:10 mi
Dewpoint:66°
Wind:CALM
Sunrise:5:03 am

great shots WC
Milk gone, shrimp still there, no rain, still stupid hot.
Thank you Allison! ☺
- Some lightning & thunder but it's not over me... yet.
Hmmm, I wonder if they're related. Mine is very orange too and was doing a great job of overseeeing the front beds. I only decided that it was probably feral when I saw it move through the shrubs out front. Very, Very thin. He may not be feral , just abandoned, but I think he is too thin to be owned. Poor kitty, Y'll know it's my mission to save him?
Awww, poor kitty! It reminds me of one of my beloved babies, now long gone. Have you given it food and water, Victor?
If you feed it the cat will stay.
The thin cat might alsobe suffering from parasites.
If it's not "altered" it will mark the yard, not a very nice smell.Call animal controle or local Hunaine Soc. or cat rescue.
I have cats and there is a feral or someones unaltered cat that has used my house and shrubs for marking.
Nice breeze on a hot night. lol
