Whats Blooming part 4

Union, WA(Zone 8b)

Nice pictures outta and catgal. That red dahlia is neat. Love the swallow and the story about the hummer.

Anything that flops can be staked if you want it like that. Your choice.

You'll love your yucca. It is beautiful when flowering.

Cat ~ You are NOT behind everyone. Out here on the Oly Pen, we are so far behind we think we're ahead! Some stuff has come up but I still am waiting on most. Lots and lots of buds but few full on flowers yet. I have floppy Freesias as well, though not all of them. The ones that are laying on the ground I simply piled a few little rocks around and now they stand straight and tall. Love the smell. I have a similar mix, though also have a purple ~

Beautiful Tils, what is the white/red buds?

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

Thats my Droopy Freesa's, no hope for them!

Vashon, WA(Zone 8b)

Tilly, that is just lovely. Someday I hope to have a clematis arbor, but too many other irons are in the fire for it to be anytime soon. So I get to drool over everybody else's and dream about the possibilities.

Tills ~ Love all the blooms. The only way I make the droopers stand up is to pile a few little rocks around the base of the plant. Otherwise I just let 'em droop.

Beautiful photos from everyone, as usual!
Oneanji, I believe you have a green zinnia there. Mbabbit, I adore the combination of those daylilies with the dahlias. It's just perfect!
Sheri, I wonder if the orange and yellow lily you have might be 'giraffe'? http://www.parrystreefarmnursery.com/images/lagiraffe.jpg
The other one may be 'orange art'?

And I love your purple freesia.
Tills, beautiful delphinium! And that clematis! I have never grown a clematis that well in my life. Maybe some day.

Here are some lilies blooming right now. I have no idea what they are. In fact, I don't know where I got them.

Here's a little vine I got at Heronswood 3 years ago. I've been waiting for it to bloom ever since. I couldn't even remember why I bought it. Now it's finally blooming! such little pink flowers. they look like petticoats hanging there. Now I remember why I bought it.

Here's a hardy fuchsia. I think the name is "Genii" , but this time of night I wouldn't swear to it.

Pix it gets no special attention, I made one bo bo, did not cut the dark one back. I only took a pic of the top, when you look at the trellis is empty on one side. I did not know till now the A B C part of them on the pruning side of it. Only thing I knew was to keep the roots in the shade and the rest in the sun, knew nothing about pruning it. LOL

Beautiful photos all of you at the wayyyyyyy ahead of us in Montucky. I have only plants you guys have listed about 2 months ago. I am like you Cat. though they are quite beautiful I still enjoy mine in 3-D. So I'll show pictures that are Montana and Alaska unique and stay out of Day Lillies. Mine right now are starting to send up flower stalks only. Roses are out and beautiful but everything is just starting. We had snow on June 9th this year.

Wattakaka sinensis, just the coolest little flower!

Thumbnail by NWGordon

WOW! I am completely in awe of your brug! Mine are simply tawdry by comparison, plus they got attacked by spider mites. So I won't even bother to post.
Have to tell you , though, that the last photo is not the climbing milkweed. That's Mimulus tigrinus. Yep, a dandy little flower, and you did get it from me. Probably the climbing milkweed died and that one germinated in the same pot. I had several of those that came up in wierd places in the greenhouse. The seeds were very, very tiny. I had a hard time keeping those Watakaka's alive. I had to plant more and only have one that is sort of thriving. Struggling, actually.

soferdig, you must be a great grandpa!! And she let you babysit and everything! We need photos. That little one is the best bloom around, I'm sure. I'm spending most days just now nursing my own 'little' one - the 16 year old. He fell off his skateboard last week and broke his jaw -specifically he broke the end of the lower mandible clean off. When he breaks something, he does it right. So he had surgery last thursday to repair the break, and now is hopped up on pain medication and has his mouth wired shut. Only 1 boy. That's all I would have been able to raise. Just the one.
