Rock Wall Construction
thx all i appreciate the comments
with 400 posts i guess i should start another thread for the next little wall i have planned for later this year.
guess they liked that you don't scare easy - for a small fee i will dress in drag and blow away all those time trials for you:)
once again you did a great job on the wall!.... and good luck Sherrie!
WOOHOO!!!, Bill. You need your own TV show. I think you could teach those 'Rock Solid' guys a few tips.
We are all pulling for you, Sherrie!
Sherrie, I can see you as a scary person (corrections officer), or a HD nursery expert, or a greenhouse small businesswoman - you're smart, tough and adaptable. Good luck.
Amen!
I spend a good deal of time in Vt where there are thousands of miles of good rock walls and I have known a few of those famous rock guys who have written expensive books about their celebrated work and I must say that our Big Bill just makes some of them look like hacks and the better ones don't choose and stack them any better he does, ever. That is the rock solid truth. Remarkable and I thought that latest rebuild was perfect before you redid it. Patti
Well said, Patti.
thx Patti although i do not think i'm close to some of those rockers. and the wall i fixed is to the left the one made of blue stone, it was falling and in need of repair. now i can stand and jump on it - that is the test - if it holds me it will stand for a few years.
who you callin big bill?
As usual, Bill, I'm very impressed!!!
So, I'll call you Big Buff Bill. I have a friend whose boss just had a nice, but no nicer than your stonework, built up in Vt. and the price was more than what I could sell my Vt house for. Patti
yes - stone work is expensive - that is what got me started, i almost choked 15 years ago when i requested pricing on a small semi-circle wall. i figured how hard can it be?
rock hard!
How about a new thread, Bill? This one is kinda long. Or are you going to see if you can make it last until its birthday? ^_^
Could be a rocky road. Patti
Time for a new thread, Bill.
