I'm still waiting on the Lambertson's to get back to me, if they do; it is a holiday weekend...most growers get back to peeps within a few days to a week...so, fingers crossed it's supposed to be 'Painted Bunting.'

I was never a true red or purple flowering plant person, this year...lol...it seems like I have more and more and more purples (Paul's influence) and reds (not intentional)...although, the red DL's are scaped and budded out like mad! I always seemed to have a lot of variegation, greys, yellows and oranges. I seem to be less selective with my Crayolas as I get older! lol.

The 'Terra Cotta' yarrow is showing all it's different colors now, it also got taller than expected and will have to be moved further back in the garden next year.

Nice, Clem. I like that pink bloom. Didn't know anyone actually grew purple loosestrife! I see one turkey, ngam. Great shot of the hopper and I like that yarrow.

Iris - forgot to answer you. Yes, it is a low creeping type. Only about 2 inches high at most. More sun equals more red.

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

Purpleloosestrife is a favorite for landscapers here on the Island, you see them all over the malls and gardens!
Gnam, nice pics and that echinacea with the little fellow on top, how cute is that! I love it! Clemen

That's surprising since it's one of the most invasive plants on the east coast!

I know it's been banned in many States, and many nurseries do not carry them, but oh well, I like her.
