guys, looks like we missed by a long shot. anyone get dusted today? zapper still under development. might have to get my genius kids to work on this. DH is going to purchase a reloading kit, and is saving shotgun shells from their skeet practice to reload with our special formula. don't ask what is in it, we ahven't made it yet!
My First Egg!
I get the feeling it'll take more than a few cups of coffee to allow me to keep up with the BCs. Maybe if it had a dusting of something special...
lol, well DN is pretty brilliant.. he may come up with a solution...er..that was literal!~ to combat the problem...however... sounds like DN is under cf's spell again...as sis mentioned that he is talking fowl again! lol!
speakiong of which, i found a way to keep flies etc out of my coffee cup. understand this a more of a bowl, and FTD pick me up one... holds 2 cups of coffee, three cups fresh raw goats milk, three tables spoons of sugar.... and whatever flavoring. well, i had read that ants would not cross a line of cinnamon or nutmeg. so i dusted my after lunch coffeewith nutmeg. i am terrible about leaving it sit while i do something without covering it, and we get more flies in the house than in the coop [maybe becasuse we don't EAT them?] so i tried it and it worked! should keep ants out too, if i ever leave it sitting outside --- done that too... some people wander around looking for their keys or their purse... i always know where that is, but WHERE OH WHERE did i leave my coffee cup???

he took this pix and threatened to post it on the cupboard where the coffee cups should go.... that cupboard is always empty! lol!

well at least htose are right outside the door! not my fault he hands me cups of coffee while I'm weeding beds...then coffee cups are found weeks/days later sitting in the beds...and I wonder why everything grows so fast! lol! afraid all my flowers are addicted to caffeine!
Why oh why in the world would anyone NOT want
the chicken fairy to visit??? Why, I left her a cup
of 10XX strong coffee in an old cup I left on the porch,
and she thanked me by leaving----tuh ta da nah! TWO
new cochin chicks!!! Well, they are most likely crosses,
as we had more roo's than hens, and we had 2 white leghorn
cross roo's, and 1 BIG amer roo, and 4 cochin roo's running
around trying to tell Elvis they wanted to be Her's, well, never
you mind that her name was Elvis- anyhow, one cochin must
have been partially developed in our 100* heat when I put the 3
eggs in the bator, cuz Lisa Marie hatched on Saturday, then
1 of the remaining 2 hatched about 1:30 this morning, with
a fail to pip for the other. Lisa Marie was being a bit peckish so
I seperated them with see thru hardware cloth. #2 is fluffing
out nicely, and I will get a pic for you later this evening, after
my nap--did I tell you it's raining and Cooler??? Well, the
odds look like a cochin roo would be their dad, but the
white on the chests and one wing tip tell me a leghorn
cross is the dad. We'll see?? By the way--I have no intention
in this universe, in this time warp, to apply the CF patch--
if I die I will die happy, knowing I lived my life the way I
wanted to, as long as I keep my secondary chick poo fumes
from polluting the pristine world of the 'non-farms', no one can
say a thing!!
