Showing your sizzling July blooms...

Saginaw, TX(Zone 8a)

My BOP survives all winter outside here. It even stays green!
By the way, my Sophie wants to join the Bellies Up Club too. lol

I need to take notes, my blooms are winding down for the Summer, while everyone else's are looking strong, very pretty!

And I love all those bellies begging to be rubbed :0)

The only thing "sizzling" at my house is ME as I stand in the fading sunlight every afternoon, watering everything in my flowerbeds. ;-)

Beautiful Bougainvillea. I love 'em too, but (usually)can't keep 'em wet enough. I say usually because... I'm in one of those places that got showers yesterday (1/2 in) and Tuesday
(2in.). I hope you get some rain soon too, Loonie.

Ginger (not sure what kind). It smells soooo good. Like intense honeysuckle. I put some in a vase in my kitchen and I get a whiff of it when I walk by. Heaven.

Hedychium coronarium ~ butterfly ginger! I can smell it from here LOL Lovely! Mine won't bloom till August...

Cocoa, I agree... although not only are my blooms winding down, they just aren't as impressive or snazzy. I pick those with the meager, paltry blooms.

Thanks for the info, podster. I have a lot of it in my yard in my rental. I'll be planting some ginger when I get my own home...

Deep East Texas, TX(Zone 8a)

If you need some when you get ready, ask. I emptied mine out of a half oak barrel this spring and gave over half of it away. If it is not too soon, I should have more and will share...

That esperanza is gorgeous! Mine is still small but at least it bloomed this year. I got it as a clearance plant last fall, so next year hopefully it'll look more like that!

The Cosmos are going crazy. I started with 3 little plants of 'Cosmic Mix' 3 years ago and they've just multiplied. I've probably pulled out a gazillion of the offspring.

The pink Ruellia is doing well also. I transplanted this volunteer from a spot in my backyard that gets 99% shade.
