The FLOWERPOT Cafe' XI

Laurel, DE(Zone 7a)

Well this is unbelievable, she got Clarence and Bruce in here to do a set? Where did you ever find Melonie, she must know everyone in the business. This is an evening we shall never forget!
Oh and she just announced that there is no charge for this special added treat!

The crowd is going wild, they are swarming the stage. What a wild time this is!

Laurel, DE(Zone 7a)

Terri I don't see you. Have you gotten yourself caught up in all the hype of the Boss? Don't stay out too late. I have arranged for a safe ride home and it is quite inexpensive. Just be careful when you dismount that you don't step in anything, wouldn't want to ruin those new shoes you got.
I'll show you here that they are all tied up out front as Steve and I will be headed home shortly and may miss you in all the commotion. Hope you had a great time and arrive home safe and not too tipsy or sticky from your spill. Perhaps we better both stop in tomorrow and wipe the floor with one of those Bissels floor cleaners.

I'm over here Candee! It's been a fabulous night. I can't keep up with your fast typing!!
See you tomorrow, you did a terriffic job with everything, Thanks and good idea of yours to have music tonight.

The cafe is open 24hrs, come down and have some fun everyone!

Emory, TX(Zone 8a)

Hi Terri! Hi everybody! or did you go home already? I just decided to come on over all the way from Texas. If ya'll went home already I'll just sit here and wait till mornin'...

Gidday yardqueen, I guess we both missed the fun. I felt like It took me all night to catch up with whats been going on! Well, guess i'm gonna have to clean the cafe today 'cause I think you lot will all have sore heads! Hey Terri, you are soooo slim, you're nearly fading away by the looks of you at the outdoor table!
Geeze Melonie, you put on a great night with all that entertainment. It makes my arrangement seem a bit, well, bland!

Morning Carol, sorry but we had to leave after that second set, couldn't find Terri anywhere and knew I had to get up for work. Hope the rest of the crowd kept you busy all night. Looks like you found a great table outside and what a great big cup Zany brought you, bet that lasted for a few hours?

Sue when did you slip in with that beauty. Great vase and looks very nice on the cabinet over there. So what happened to you last night, had a hot date elsewhere? i don't normally stay up on weeknights, but it isn't that often that we have music in the middle of the week. Just so happened that Melonie had a cancellation (a wedding that she was supposed to frequent, well turned out the bride ran off at the last minute with an old school chum)! I notice you have one of those pickles on fire in your lovely blue vase, nice touch! Sorry for the mess you, Zany and Rosie have to clean, but you can thank Terri cause she spilled that drink and when I was leaving I was stepping in something sticky by the door so am not convinced that she just spilled that one. We will find out later when she comes in, if she has no headache it is a clear sign that she spilled more than she drank!

Terri, hope you continued to dance all night after we left, I know you had your eye on another partner even before Steve left the dance floor.

Ooh, my head too many fuzzy navels.

london England, United Kingdom

Mornin' all, bit tired today...

Hello Yardqueen! Yay finally got you in here LoL! Sorry I wasn't here to Welcome you to the cafe', hope you had a good time anyway. I left just after Candee, it was 3am!!

Thanks Sue for making a start on clearing up, Rosiegourd didn't show up again.
Nice arrangement Sue, love the POP, I've never made an arrangement with one! don't see them very often around these parts! It certainly wouldn't call your arrangement bland!!
Shame you missed a great night mate, Spur of the moment and and all that..

Hi Candee, I do feel a bit groggy today..... I've been trying for the last hour to make this Bissels thingy work.
I just can't figure it out! Will you ask Sally because it's driving me mad......
Did you see that waiter from next door giving me the eye all night? what a creep LoL!

I completely forgot it's my flower club tonight, my friend called this morning to go to the florists!
I haven't got a clue what to make and I have to be ready to leave at 7pm.
The theme is...... Hot Hot Hot
I bought red, yellow and orange flowers.
I'm going to go and have a look at my containers, see if anything inspires!
Sorry I won't have time to do anymore cleaning.

Hi mittsy, Know how you feel!

Laurel, DE(Zone 7a)

Sally where are you, you are the expert on the Bissell thingy and these floors need shined, can you help us out. Terri is still a bit lightheaded and must rest before her flower club meeting.
Terri, sure you will come up with something spectacular, I have seen some of your hot, hot arrangements and they are always outa this world. I didn't notice that creep stalking you, glad you got home okay. Should have come and found me and Steve, I would have put and end to that right then and there!!! I think we need to have a meeting regarding Rosiegourd's continued employment, this is not the first time so she has already been put on notice. We can't expect everyone else to keep picking up her slack.

mittsy, sorry you are a bit hungover, hope the headache doesn't ruin your entire day. Try having a can of beer this morn, I have heard that or a bloody mary does the trick. Otherwise a few aspirin and back to bed for a while. See now why I left a little early, you youngins had to close the place down by yourselves.

london England, United Kingdom

Oh ... Finally she's turned up!
What do you think everyone? shall we give Rosiegourd another chance?

I think we should check our file and look over the applications from other applicants. What about Mizz Goldie Squash?

Thumbnail by mittsy
Laurel, DE(Zone 7a)

You know Terri as cute as Rosie and Rosetta are, looks can't account for everything. mittsy's applicant is here and ready to get to work and looks quite enthusiastic. Mizz Goldie gets my vote to give a fresh start to the cafe household duties. I like her spunk. Let's not forget how much trouble mittsy went to to find her. I know you had to round up Rosie and Rosetta and give them a good talking which was a lot of trouble as well but I still think they have had ample chances to prove themselves. Course you know I am the hard... of the group.

Oh she's lovely mittsy! Such a sunny cheerful appearance.

Hold your horses there Candee!!
I didn't realise we were interviewing applicants today, I think it's only fair to wait and see the what the rest of the regulars say about this. Give everyone a chance to recommend someone. Sue and a few others already missed a great music night. If no other applicants apply, then we could consider taking on Mizz Goldie Squash on a trial basis.

Personally, I'd be glad to see the back of Rosiegourd.

You gals are so FUUUNNNNNYYYYYY...... Can't believe I missed the whole thing, especially Melonie's great acts and all that drinking and dancing. And I am a fan of Bruce's too. I was in the bathroom, practicing my dance steps, and lost track of time....when I got out, everyone was gone, except for Yardqueen and Sue. It was great to finally meet them. And it was fun meeting Rosiegourd, Rosettagourd, and Goldie Squash.

Candee - we waited and waited for you to come in to the bathroom to show us your famous rockette kicks. But you were having too much fun out in the front. So, this was the best we could do. with enough practice, maybe we can be Melonie's backup act next time. I am the shortest one on the right.

Oh Dianne you are too cute for words. I bet Melonie would hire you right now. I tried at one point to fight my way through the crowd to the bathroom, but got swept up in another dance routine and then that was all she wrote! I hope you at least heard the music even if you were tied up in there with the practice.

Terri, I was just putting in my 2 cents, I know there has to be a vote and all that garbage. Never could get my way around here, good thing I am not one to sulk. If you decide to keep Rosie and Rosetta fine, just keep them away from my table, I'll clean up after myself if need be LOL! I am not sure I like the way she has turned her back on us after all she is the one who wasn't doing the job, not like she hasn't had a number of chances and now she is the one with the attitude!

london England, United Kingdom

Hi Dianne, what a great picture! Are you sure you have grown up children? you look about 16 LoL!

Chillax Candee! everything is cool. The Gourd sisters can stay in the back kitchen, out of your sight for now.

elle, did you see Cissys puppy? it was cute like yours!

Sacramento, CA(Zone 9a)

Hi Terri - I feel 16 at times. It's the dancing - keeps me young at heart. Gardening, too, come to think of it.

Laurel, DE(Zone 7a)

Good for you Dianne, I must say I act 16 sometimes, but been a long time since I felt like I was 16 LOL!

london England, United Kingdom

Hi everyone,
I went to Disney World Florida when I was 16, it was brilliant!!

Good luck with the handbag elle. I haven't started mine yet.

Bravo, bravo, that is magnificent Terri. You must be at the head of your class, you get the best ideas and complete them to perfection. I look forward to your arrangements as much as a child awaits Christmas morning.
Here is one I made this afternoon, simple but sleek I think. Yucca leaves, dahlia, zinnia and rocks and a touch of garden phlox.

Love those tree peonies. Wish and wish and will keep wishing I could have some. They just way out of my budget. Thanks for sharing the pics though. Can just drool here.

Since the cafe got cleaned up, maybe we could get a new thread too. Taking forevr for dial up to load over 300 posts. ; )
