How hot is it there in Tx? I can imagine with no rains it will feel like the Sahara.

We have actually been having thunderstorms every other afternoon for over a week now. Yeasterday was a doozy! It's hot and muggy in the morning, but cools down considerably in the evening. Yesterday wasn't bad at all!
I'm just happy I don't have to be hauling that waterhose around.
Oh and I did find my whiting yay!! It was in a tub instead of the green box I was looking for LOL, sometimes getting older is just not much fun....

I go out there with the camera and the lens gets all fogged up! Then the bugs rushed to check the insides of my nostrils----ewwww---

Here too JoJo... Day before yesterday I had to water twice... but yesterday, it was kinda overcast all day, so once was enough... except the new grass I transplanted, I did give it an extra dose of spray... We had a good shower after dark last night, and we've already had a good shower today, and I think there's more behind it coming toward us... and it's only 80 right now. So, mother nature has cooled us down a bit... but like the weather usually goes in Texas... it won't last long.

Today was the first shower of rain my yard's had since sometime in May. Got almost an inch. No enough but I'm thankful for what little bit we got.

Had hard rain coming home today and apparently had lots of rain here while we were away. Things are very wet, green and yikes growing fast!! I hear the grass now laughing because I have to cut it again.

My Asiatics and jasmines are blooming full force now Jojo. Can't help but be near their wonderful scent...maybe that's what been bothering the sinuses. They are so beautiful though!

I went to HD this evening but they were closing so didnt get to browse much. Picked up a few things to play with for the Fae swap and one last tool I needed for one of the kitchen thingys I'm doing. I have 2 going just in case one doesn't m,ake it LOL, and if they both do then I'll have one for a future swap!

Jojo, I can't wait to see what you can come up with for both the swaps. I haven't started yet on the kitchen thingy. Got 1 idea and 1 BJ suggested, will try to do both.
Think any future swaps that calls for any kind of handiwork, I might have to ignore, unless it just requires some finger shopping!

chewed a few more times since then. I knew today would be like this because of the weekend - my crew made big doodoo.

Big jerk is retaliating, trying to make it impossibly hard to get a day of leave. I'm hoping secretly he fires me. if it wouldn't make DH look bad, I'd quit. If he fires me, I'll get unemployment! I'm over 55 and have never used that benefit I've been earning all my life! LOL

And on the bright side if you get fired you can chew back before you leave LOL!
I was at Sherwin Williams this morning and they are hiring. I used to work in the Surgical Department at the University of Texas, but I would like to work at something a little less stressfull LOL, if only they paid enough to cover day care for Zeke. I could get a few hours a week off from Mommy Duty. Not to mention all the discounts at a paint store! I would never bring a paycheck home!! LOL

Heavenscape, you don't want to do a wet t shirt contest. I would put such a scare on all the neighbors!!! LOL. We need to keep this all family friendly. ^_^
I got some brugs in the mail Saturday, I bought from ebay. Not so happy I did it. they were supposed to be 3 foot tall plants, and this is what I got.
They are all wilted, only 15 inches tall, they are rooted, so I am going to put them in some soil, and give them some TLC. I hope I can revive them. Supposed to be white, pink, yellow, and 2 orange ones. We will just have to wait and see what happens.
