This juvenile Red-bellied Woodpecker is such a little piggy.

Their so funny without their red feathers; they look like little baldies. :-)

This Bald Eagle came zooming by me with the after burner on, so I had trouble getting it in good focus.

I don't get to see my little guy do that. He is usually just sitting in a tree looking around.

I think in this picure he heard me crinkling the Zip-lock bag and didn't know what it was.

This thread is pumping...nice pics...I am working on a few here, but for now a laughing Dove, very common.

I've given up on feeding the birds. The red, black and grey squirrel clans have run me out of business! So, keep posting. Yours are the only birds I get to see lately! :)

i hear ya sybil!. I've just got my thistle socks and a baffled platform feeder with this little ball feeder out now. My peanut silo is still up but empty until I can get to the store.

A young Purple Galinule pondering whose feet he has discovered.

After observing these nest all year and only seeing these birds flying; I finally got a pic of some on the nest today. When the boat passed under the bridge the Cliff Swallows swarmed out like bats out of a cave.

There were a few Great Egrets out today.

I saw more Green Herons this morning than I have seen in my whole life. They were mostly on the low lily pads. But one posed on some higher ones.
