Red Asiatic Lilies.
Best/Worse &What did I learnt today/Chat with Friends #49
Wow Ruby that's spectacular..especially the clematis, but all pare to dear Emily..she's getting so big..the cutest..wish I had a grandaughter...not to be I guess..I'll hope for Great grandaughters..sure can see you are a lily fan..now I'll have to get the names of the 3 I bought today..and here I'm excited about having a dozen or so....lol...
But I am excited about the candle lamp I bought, put it on a black rod iron side table on back deck, lifted my head and OMG the hanging candle I bought to hang on the 4x4 is same leaves, same clear bobbles..how cool is that..but then it doesn't take much to get me excited these days...lol...
Miss Emily sure is trying to think something out..lol..was this at your house? One could just squeesh her to death....well this time I must go out, even though we had all that rain, nothing under the front and back verandah's got watered...I painted a flower box and set plants inside, they don't seem to be growing as much as I had wanted..might have to change them around.. also will check under the house overhang, never gets a lot of watering there when it rains as well then I wonder why non are doing well...
What do you all have planned for this evening....
Humid, no air and hot/hot..just put air on..remember this spring when I was waiting for my 2 loads of topsoil I wanted to make a DG garden and many sent me seeds, then I wanted to paint faux windows and sign for the pretty sad looking shed, make it country looking..well, the soil just arrived on Thurs. I think it was, started to remove turf but I've learnt that you can't do everything in 1 day...so I've the air on, going for hot bath, will take out some painting or project to play with this evening and I'll challenge this area tomorrow...yuk..but, once I go in search of plants, maybe a few shrubs it will look ok for this year.. if I keep it up it won't take 3 hrs to cut the grass, there won't be any grass...lol
Hi Ruby..lovely to see your photos. I love the clematis shot..so beautiful.
And of course..little Miss Emily..so sweet.
Sharon..your wisteria trees are beauties!
Great idea to train them into trees.
Betty..must have been fun to hear the bands go marching by.
What a co-incidence about your pretty wrought iron lamp matching one you already have..
Gita..I know you are gone by now..but your cousins are going to be thrilled with their Painted Rock.
Judy ..you must be smiling up a storm tonight and getting all kinds of compliments.
I went out shopping and visited my eldest son today...
Look what I came home to. Thank God I wasn't here when it fell..the hanger on the bakc pulled of the bcaking..
Was quite a mess to clean up.
afternoon all,
long day for me so off to nap.
betty, lovely pictures what a fun festivity didnt do to bad made 100.00 but now that i get how it is going to have a few more and more publishing! having such a issue with ants they made it in the freezer omg so clark pest control to the rescue signed up for a year spraying cant keep spraying clorox the smell is killing me so let the professionals handle it.
ruby, flowers and plants wonderful so are you comming? and when????? love the pic of emily to cute.
gita have a nice time
bev, shar wonderful wisterias'
ok falling asleep be back later
Evening! Finally get here in the evening instead of the morning. Feels a bit different.
Ruby beautiful pictures. Oh little ones playing in water. How fun is that? I never got far on my cleaning up. But am determined to do it as I am tired of looking for everything!
Got a couple of empty boxes out I was going to use for mailing if I needed them. They are now under the mulch around a flowerbed!
Also weeded and tore out a plant I didn't like in another bed. It was just to large for it. So it looks pretty bad right now but I think I have some extras I can put in place. Lots of moss rose starts in there. If they get any size they will fill it right up. Plus some little daisy type annual I planted last year. Like those alot better. Will we see how things grow.
A good start Liz! Ants! Seems like everyone is having problems with them this year. Lots of people coming in for ant killer.
Starzz what a mess. If you had been home you probably would of had a heart attack hearing that! I was weeding the bed by the front of the house and Ty started growling! Now that made me jumpy! I didn't see or hear anything but he sure could of!
Betty what a fun day even tho all plans didn't go smoothly. You worked it out and I bet it was lots of fun. But you tire me out just reading all you do in one day!
I also got in a nap this afternoon. Thought we were going to get some storms but someone else must of gotten them.
Time to go and read some more threads and clean myself up!
Hello again folks.....How long does your birthday last? My mother's? Oh about 6 - 10 days......:)
Betty I hope my new story today makes your day a little smilier if that's a word and if it ain't, well you know what I mean.....:)
Sharon, never too busy to entertain you.....but sometimes when my mom makes up the bed (and I tell her a thousand times, let me do it)......My laptop computer goes missing under the top sheet.....:)
Carol, thanks so much for what you said about my guest writer......we both appreciate it.......thanks
OMG, hope everyone is safe..what a storm we're having, never saw such a heavy rain and the wind is sure powerful out there..wonder if I'll have a garden tomorrow...not nice..
Going to shut computer down, will gab with you tomorrow just in case..
Carol, sorry about the mirror!
Yuk, better sign off...
oh carol look at the mess carol, carol omg save the glass if you want you can break it up and cover a bowling ball :) wouldnt that be pretty in your secret garden.....
Good idea for the bowling ball Liz. Sorry about the mirror Starzz. Yep, I bet that thing did make a huge noise when it fell.
Thank you everyone for the compliments on the the flower beds and my special Miss. i am thinking of trying to go and visit her later this morning.
Betty, all of the Day Lilies came from John's home place when the estate was sold last year. He and his siblings spent many hours digging up the thousands of bulbs that his parents had planted. Both of his parents were Master Gardeners and had a greenhouse on the property plus a basement set up with grow lights. Must have been quite an operation once upon a time.
My first introduction with Hosta was when I visited their gardens for the first time about fifteen years ago when I first met John. Their Hostas were huge and I thought they were gorgeous. I now have some the sizes of the ones they had.
We are like you are Betty, running out of planting spaces. Oh we will find a place for the things that we love. I am sure.
I hope that everyone is enjoying their weekend. Will check back in later on today.
Ruby
Ruby you must have a full slate this morning, you are also up ealy...imagine, I didn't sleep much of the night worrying about how my gardens would fare..some trampled but perhaps when the sunshine returns they'll stand up again..wow what a storm....
When you and John met his family to dig up the plants, think you took all the lily's...lol..gardening is truly an addiction isn't it..no wonder we are lost come winter, at least I am, as it's under 3' of snow..lol...
Today, what to do today? Last evening I took out my trusty little table and 3 boxes of unfinished projects...had little breadboards I got at the $$$ store I that I had painted at work all for about 1 1/2 of work, so finished them, then from the linoleum when I did the floormats, had some hexagon squares, although they look like they take time, not..maybe 1 hr to do 2 sets of 4 - very primitively done..so got them done..then I had a box of santa faces, all done except for 4..when the storm blew in I gave up..sooo think I'll get my coffee, do them which won't take more than 1/2 hr...pour another batch and then trace the pattern on the chair, put the other chair together which only takes about 1/2 hr. and that should get me to 10am..it's heavy outside, everything is wet from the rain, so if it doesn't continue raining today I'll get out and do more turf removing for that the friendship garden..am accomplishing much, but then that's just me, miss busy body...
Ruby do hope you get to see Miss Emily today..more photo's PLEASE!
Crazy lady, humid/hot, air on and I'm painting Santa faces...give my head a shake, but then girls, I'll be organized and ready and you'll be scattering around..lol..
Judy, Liz..because I'll bring yours with me on my visit so I'll not have to ship them, how many did you want???? will bring extra incase Vicki we get to drive up to visit with you..not sure how much hair I have here but that's unbreakable and I can always send it when I place the order...Gillian and Carol, same with you 2, when we meet up will you also be doing the project? I could bring them with me as well...
Breadboard..just need a final coat on them and the coasters and I can put the paints away..OMG every time I do a project I get a container out and put all the paints needed for it in with the project, well it doesn't take long with you are doing 20-30 projects that the paint shelf starts looking empty...
Well off for coffee, perhaps porridge and finish those santa's thought there was 4 but only 3 so I'm in business...
Off for a quick walk in the gardens..
Morning all,
Betty..whew! You are a whirlwind! I hope your garden pops back from the storm. We didn't get a storm here last night.
Ruby..it is wonderful that John got to save all those daylilys. Makes them very special.
I notice that a few of mine are putting up scapes now..won't be long till there are blooms.
Cute Idea Liz..but all the broken mirror is cleaned up now and I wouldn't play with it..I'd probably cut myself..I'm not crafty like you and Betty. I put on garden gloves to pick up the pieces. I'll have to see about getting a new mirror soon..but I have a small standing mirror that will do for now.
So nice to hear you made 100.00 on your yard sale.
Did you have a lot of people try to bargain down the price?
Paul..Happy Belated Birthday to your Mom...I have a friend who says it is her "Birthday Week".
Priceless photo you have of your Aunts car on the corner..funny story.
Hi Vicki..having fun in the garden..and a nap..my kind of day...
I think today I will have to cut grass again..all this rain has it growing fast.
Enjoy your day all
Cheers,
Carol
This is a Tiarella..they grow well in the shade with my hostas.
Tiarella is beautiful Carol. Thanks for sharing.
Betty, busy as a bee again....yes, you make all of us tired just reading what all you do in a day. ha-ha
You speak of having porridge, what is it exactly? The only porridge I have ever heard of is in The Three Bears kids book. I know that I will feel stupid when you tell me tha answer, but I want to know. I would suspect that it is either oatmeal or cream of wheat.
I am going to step away from the computer for a while and do some chores. Will be back later on.
Ruby
Ruby
morning all,
carol, yes lots tried to bargain and it was reasonable so i didnt have a problem with what they wanted....
till this older man came he kept staring at this copadamonte duck i had, i had put 5.00 would of gone down to 4.00 this peice came from italy was in good shape and was a reasonable size, he asked me if i would take .50 oh my word i was so shocked i said no not today, he thanked me and moved on his merry way lol think that was a eye opener right there!
ruby, wow you have alot of lilys pretty!!!!
betty, oh wow look at all the projects! just lovely, sound so crazy to hear you and carol having rain right now hope it clears up nice later, oh on santa, 3-4.
cutting boards are wonderful! now is that a gingerbread man cookie cutter with a candle? cute idea what is that around it that looks like dried fruit??
vicki, thats good to hear others having issues with ants, lol was wondering if it was only me! my goodness the droves of rows on the kitchen floor was unbelievable comming from under the house, well only have to worry less than a week to fix that!
wow you were busy in the yard, guess i'll get busy trying to get some of this house put back togeather ha ha maby after a hour i'll just say forget it who cares lol.
bev, your flowers are just lovely! how is scottys weight loss doing? your soil must be so full of good stuff always looks so green and lush.
jeannine, did you get a new puppy pick yet?? they were soooo cute, hows mom's doing has she quit smoking yet?
paul, happy bday to mom's how cute a week of fun!
well off to get motivated be back later
have a good day
Right here in my area the soil is blk loam. If you think the flowers do good you should see my weeds. LOL Thanks for asking about Scotty. He semms to be loseing a little more. We will know in Sept. He is hollering for food so must go. Talk later. Morning all and have a good day. We may get ready and head for the camper and fishing for a day or two so if you don't see me on that is why. Hugs to all. BEV
Find the visiter in my garden on this yarrow.
Oh Oh LIz, read your post (quickly) and thought omg my breadknife that I painted, the peppers and carrots and mushrooms aren't done as I would have like if the knife looked like a gingerbread type tool and my veggies look like fruit???? went back..oh you mean the gingerbread metal container filled with rosehips...lol
My painting mess upstairs is almost cleaned..santa faces all packed away, more in the mold ready to come out tonight..went outside and did more sod removal but the moskito's are a size that they could carry me away..while standing there and meditating I was on an 'ant' hill..that hurts..so I'm off to boil water and give them the what for..might take a run into town later and purchase something to rid them...
Bought a little bag of dog food last night at the little convenience store to save me going into town in that storm, had forgotten poor furries have to eat..anyway, opened the bag, today it's half full/or half empty lol dear old Sailor must have helped herself...
Liz, you were expecting to sell far more were you not? and is it next weekend you'll have another or will you put things out again today..are you in a high density population wise? do you have local newspapers that have 'garage sale' ads? you've worked so hard at it, will these treasure that are not sold go back into your home? lol not is DH can help it right..
Ruby, just another word for what you probably say "Quaker Oats" and they sell boxes of packets mixed with various fruit, those I prefer..just add boiling water and voila..lovely breakfast...in the winter though, I do make it from the quaker oats...topped with brown sugar and cream..yummy...Tiarella looks pretty, dainty white flowers..my front yard near the house is so shaded, so it's a learning process, this plant would look lovely set amongst the hosta's..I keep looking at the nurseries, and that's why I'm always in trouble coming home with car load of plants, for plants that you post photo's of..but, guess we don't have them here..too bad..I love them..
OMG forgot to tell you when I drove home from Barrie yesterday and took the back route, well it's not the first time, I take that route every day when I drive to the city but there is an old farmhouse for sale, it would be sooo beautiful fixed up, $149,000 and quite a bit of acreage...anyway, the grass it tall, nobody cuts it, but in the spring you could see what the lady of the house would have worked hard at, rows/rows of hosta's 3 or 4' high, rows and rows..wild bleeding hearts, many other flowers, rows of peonies, beautiful tall ferns that would enhance the pond here.....is it 'stealing'?? (know it is) if one was to go and dig a few up? let her treasures grow in my garden???
Kathy also told me about an elderly lady up the street in her 90's that just went to a home, a young man purchased the property and hasn't done a thing with the gardens all around her house..you know, after I dig the sod, fill with topsoil I might take a run up and ask for a few plants..what's the worse he can say..'no' - 'please leave'..we'll see how courageous I get..
Carol, it's funny, Suzanne called me about 5:00 and asked if I'd like to come for supper, well I'd already eaten and in jammies so passed..she said they wanted to b.b.q. but the rain was coming down so heavily that they couldn't go outside, now she lives about 5 miles from me, sunshine here, then a few hours later the sky opened up..must be sunshine in your area if you are cutting grass..yep, it's growing by the minute, Kathy did mine on Thursday, but I think I'll pick up gas if I go to town today and tomorrow if it doesn't rain I'll cut it again...hate unkept grass...
Bev, hope you and Scotty enjoy a few days at the trailer..going back to check the photo for your little creature..I'm learning, almost hit the photo, then my writting would be gone into cyberspace as usual...
Morning Paul..must go back and re-read you posts..know you'll have me in stitches again and will bring some memory hidden deep inside to the surface, you always do...now how is your garden doing? Happy Birthday to your mom...and, our JUDY, we'll she celebrates the entire month..lol..me, I get a few weeks out of it..
Off to visit the moskito's...
I had to take a double take, but then was able to see the Praying Mantis. That is sure a close up picture. ha-ha Have a good couple of days off Bev. Hope that you all catch a good bunch of fish. What type of fish are you all fishing for?
Liz, isn't it rather insulting when people try things like that man did? What a cheapo he is. I am looking forward to hearing about any of your sales or anything else out of the ordinary that happened during the sale. What were the highlights of the day? What was the costliest thing that you sold? Do tell, do tell, do tell. I haven't been to a yard sale for a couple of years I think. I used to go to them all of time and really got some goodies. My house is so small now that there isn't a bare spot for anything to sit. ha-ha
I hope that you are having a good day too.
Ruby
Cross posted with you Betty. Okay, I guess I was on the right track with porridge. Here in the south we call it Oatmeal. I love it too, but is not something that I eat very often. I have been hearing for the past couple of years that it is really good for a person, nutrition wise.
I just went out back and walked and looked at one flower bed. By the time that I got back inside, I was so sick on the stomach that I thought I would throw up. Thankfully I didn't but I did just pop an anti nausea pill. I feel a bit better getting out of the heat, but still a little bit queasy. The way that sickness hit me makes me re-think going to see Emily today. I cannot get out in this heat today., I can go one day this week hopefully. I miss seeing her grin if too much time passes by.
The past couple of weeks John has been doing our meat cooking on the grill. That is sure a big help in terms of trying to decide what to eat each evening.
I made some deluxe macaroni salad on Friday and there is still a couple more servings of that and some grilled chicken breasts for later today. I need to decide what kinds of meals we will have this week and thaw out whatever meat is available. I am thinking of sending John to grocery later to buy several more packs of the yummy chicken breasts that are on sale. Maybe, if I begin feeling better and have the energy later, I will try preparing potato salad. Not sure.
Well, I am just rambling, so will close with saying have a happy Sunday everyone.
Ruby
Not going camping. Looked at the weather and chances of storms this afternoon and tonight. May go out tomorrow and just spend the day. Going to be almost 90 Tues so forget it LOL. I got into a job!! I have Bishops weed on the right hand side of my porch so pulled all that and am going to dig all arround and try to get all the roots. Have to dig about 6 inches of rock out and sift the dirt out, throw the rock in the driveway and then put some kind of edger in and new soil and plant some of my babies in there. That will be a nice nursery for them. We will see how much of that gets done. I still have a lot of trees to trim and bushes too. The more I try to cut down the more I see. Oh! Well it has been that way forever. What gets done will and what don't just don't!! Can't wait to see who my SP is. When did you say we switch Sharon? Hugs to all. BEV
This is the yarrow that the baby Praying Mantis is on.
betty, ive heard of rose hips but it looks like dried friut in there, how was that done, your bread boards were very life like just wonderful job...
i was going to put way more out there, but it was my first sale and i didnt know what to expect or how to price things, so i was a little intimadated and when someone would ask for lower i was soo embarrassed to not say ok, but in all actuallity, even though i could sell on ebay for more im just ready to let all of it go to become uncluttered!!
so i guess this will be a regular monthly thing for summer and if it dont move by sept/ oct then it needs to go to good will in another town so i dont go buy it all back lol..
bev, have a good time.
ruby, lol well lets see....
should of taken a picture but i was amased at all the nick knacks we made two tables from our neighbors plywood pile plus the two i had geez, putting things out at 6.00
would you believe two came at 7.00 everyone was friendly and nice.
think the coolest thing was the guitar i had from the late 70"s just a basic one, had a case, was actually embarrased thinking who would want that? nice man came i let it go for 15.00
the coolest thing was two came then a neighbor and it became a big ol social because some one knew some one who new some one else, that was real nice !
im normaly the one who sits in the back row studing everyone lol but i didnt have a problem yapping with strangers for some reason lol.
dh sat there to so it was just a fun sort of thing to do.
now our neighbor from the other street came over , then this interesting hispanic gentleman showed up to get a couple of things ,he asked me on my cacuts if he could have some i told him take it all!!!!!it has cactus pears on them now.
big thing this cactus gets to be!
he makes tacos for his resteraunt and uses it for remedies says the cactus is exelent for diabetics ect.
very friendly guy and full of stories on how mexico has cures the western world wont recognise, i like to hear stories of such, interesting how other cultures believe and practice medicine he stayed for a hour, that was alot of fun!
overall seems like in this county people like to shop in the morning till 12.00 then a big break till 2.30, think next one will have to be advertised in the paper i only published it on craigs list and in local penny saver on line ad, thought about well some dont own a computer think that is where i went wrong :(
so i have what didnt sell in the corner of the garage waiting for the next sale lol
hello all, still lurking
trying to get better it seems one thing after another but nothing serious,,,,
gosh the wisteria is lovely girls really lovely! Im so enjoying all the photos.... wonderful.
betty i never thought of IBS,, it could well be that!
DH has a throat infection at the moment and there are some family troubles going on so pray if you will or send good vibes.
my meds do well unless there is something big... getting through it tho and better than i usually do.
baby is just lovely... trying to get the pics from my oldest daughter.. that another story... sigh...
nearly finish my first quilt and will show you soon and then its onto the friendshio quilt...... i will post the material i have recieved so far.... will try for that tomorrow (if i can get off the loo!)
got my promotion at work! hahhahah have been off on workcare for three weeks though.... gosh... start on the 7th...the boss will hate that. meh... dont care...
well hugs to you alll... love all the gardens.. im so jelous!
betty i cant believe how cheap that property is!
xxxxxxx
Think Liz having the garage sales brings one out of their shell..always fun to talk with people, especially when you see them get excited over your 'treasures' almost wants to make you keep them...lol
My problem with going to garage sales (and I've lost a few objects this way) is saying for example with the old, unworking chandeliers...'oh what pretty candle holders these will make for the garden/deck etc.' and sometimes they haven't thought out what purpose these items can have other than their intended purpose so now I MUST pay for the item, THEN tell them what I'll do with it..lol..
Still mega bugs outside, another hour or so and I should be able to get out there and work, don't want to start another project till I'm in for the day so I'm just fluttering around..on 2nd load of washing..
Called Diane and she will come and spent the day with me tomorrow..she never did finish the last floormat we did together..so perfect opportunity..she said it would never get done except for my prodding her...
Ruby, did you eat something this morning that might not have agreed with you? Or is it the extreme heat..either way if it is maybe something coming on you'd not want to give it to Emily...so inside you stay, feet up, get that favorite book out and enjoy..
Just watched Joel Olsteen, can't get through a Sunday without seeing him nor do I miss my 1:00 Rock Minister..Joel had such a creative idea about feeling better about oneself..if someone says nice things about you, have a box that you put these in, just jot it down on a piece of paper, or if it's a card include it in the box..when feeling down, to back to that box and read the comments..makes one totally feel better...should I paint a 'box' lol
OMG, sitting here I just noticed the 2 pieces of wood I cut to paint a faux window for that back shed....should have blinders on, think I'll go sketch something on it...know I want curtains and perhaps some gardening items????
Don't mind the mess in my furnace room...no, not going to clean it today..still have 2 days off...lol AND look at that little table and chair set that needs done by July 27th...
Thanks Liz for the run down on the sale. Sounds like fun was had by all. Yeah, they do tend to grow in to social events when folks are having a yard sale. Glad that it was a good day for you.
Betty, not sure what has my tummy upset, but I sure hate it. I will be okay before too long. Headed for a nice warm shower now and hopefully that will take my mind off of queasiness.
See you folks later on.
Ruby
Glad you are feeling better Ruby, some the virus can come on so very quickly..well I'm proud of myself, I'm not overdoing, for me that's a plus, I go out maybe every half hour and do a load of sod, there is a dry river bed at the very back and a lot of brush, so throwing all this sod will only make it look better...then I come in and paint for awhile, got side-tracked, now that I'm doing the DG friendship garden I want it done today..in order for it to look pretty, the shed needs windows.. so 'faux' here we come..lol..
Took those 2 pieces of thin wood, done step 2 of about step 12, perhaps by tonight I'll have the garden filled with topsoil AND at least the 2 windows done, side wall window can wait..then comes making a frame for each of them..never ending..
Step 1
Sure wish the restaurant next door was open Sunday's..oh well, just maybe I'll cook myself something and then another load of turf...
This is step 2..it's just marking out where I think I want the curtains..not every creative at this point, but will be as the steps progress...
You guys probably don't want to hear about my every move, lol, but oh well, all my kids are away, friends are all up to something today, so I have you to share my day..you could always skip my posts if not interesting..lol...truly you could...
tooooooo cool hurry up with the next step!
lol ok will go put up 4th of july decorations while i wait....
Sorry Laura, we must have cross-posted...it's so difficult once the world gets the better of us to climb out of the dark hole, been there/done that a couple of times...my heart goes out to you, it seems never ending..sorry about the problems on the homefront will say some prayers...no lurking Laura, we love you to bits, if you need encouragement, understanding, love and compassion then it's on this thread..you'll feel those big bear hugs right to good old Australia...now this promotion, what will it entail, will it STILL be working for the same boss...I so hope not...Do wish you could come and visit for a few months so I could mother you and get you feeling healthy...did I get that right, perhaps you could daughter me up..lol..which ever way, sure wish it could happen...
Anne just dropped in for an hour, we had a lovely visit..clouding over again can feel the rain, had better go put my tools away..
And then Suzanne called, she's getting new furniture, wondered if I could help them lay flooring this weekend..I've plans, but would in between..so much to do before I leave for the USA..in fact, forgot all about insurance, have to make it into the office before I leave and have no medical coverage down there...
So, better not stop, I'm the size of a house today, Anne just couldn't get over it...again, thank goodness for stretchy clothing..lol
Gosh I am so lost, love the pictures when I am so behind, it helps. I wish my wisteria bloomed. I noticed it seems to just stay the same, not growing at all. I think some vines don't spread all crazy unless they can twine onto something. Mine needs something sturdy to crawl on.
Dawn, I think Shar twines them somehow to make more of a tree look...some were saying it gets so strong and heavy..guess we have to be careful..do you have an arbor? or trellis?
Mine is still sitting in the container I bought it in, I'm not too anxious to plant it incase I do and it creates a problem...
How's the sunburn? no more getting burnt that bad ... don't need you sick...
What has your temperature been at today, we're about 80, I've the air on but think it's time to shut it off..silly having air on and getting a blanket to cover up...
Just did my homework on the Muskoka Chair which I need for Saturday's class, feeling tired, I usually start to fade about this time..lol...so might just have a hot bath, clean up my mess and call it a day..rain has almost stopped..
Looking forward to no drive to the city tomorrow, working from home and then of course we have July 1st off for Canada Day..so still 2 more days..much to achieve..
Hi everyone,
I just have to show you a few photos I took this morning.
First one is climbing rose New Dawn on an old window frame. I bought the 2 windows at a yard sale of an old century home for $7.00 for the pair.
I am thrilled with the look of the roses on it. It is what I have always dreamed of since I started trying roses several years ago.
