Garden Photos - Part 17

Wow - impressive. I think that teeny stuff would drive me crazy though! A sneeze is like a hurricane.

they look great Dayne... I haven't mass planted them yet... that might be next years thing

I dead headed mine last year... they were going all the way into fall

The 1st bloom Monday on "Always Afternoon", one of the only dayliles Celeste didn't give me. It echoes surprisingly well - and entirely accidentally - the snapdragons which were not as annual as i'd thought!

And my 1st "Summer Dreams" cosmos bloom on Monday - i was SO thrilled...

And my 1st Shasta Daisy bloom - they did so poorly last year i didn't think they'd return...
...but they look much better now!

that summer dreams is really pretty.... funny I had the same thoughts of our shasta daisys.... 3 years later they are spreading like crazy... there is a rock border between me and my neighbor... they jumped it... glad she doesn't mind

Wow! Such great colors on everyone's blooms! It took forever to get to the bottom! But, I wouldn't have missed any of them for the world!

Thom: I recognized that little yellow sedum you showed 'way up there in Post #5151491. Anna and I have it gowing on the back hill. It spreads wonderfully and quickly, as long as there is bare dirt for it to find. And, yes, it finds the cracks and crevices a most wonderful place to thrive.

I'll try to get out and get a photo of ours later today.

Amy, nice echo. Love the color of your snaps. I replanted more of what I hope will go with what I had last year that has returned. The dark red one seems to return best for me, but this year I have some nice white that returned and some orange ones. I could only find the pale yellow this year. So I passed on it. Yours is such a rich golden color. My cosmos seeded well from last year too, so all the ones I grew from seeds have been planted in a different bed. But alas, the poppies that I so hoped would self seed, didn't. Patti

Zagreb...I really thought that I got all of it...lol...and was able to rehome several large divisions at the Fall 07 RU, but, it's back, and spreading as always. I wouldn't call it invasive, it's right in front of a perennial sunflower (Helianthus?)...Zagreb gets about 12-16" tall orso, the perennial sunflower about 3-4'...give or take.

Is this a new planter or potential garden ornament?

here is a pic of my fire ring - there are tiger Lillie's ready to start in the next week - with the ends being the yellow one just posted - in front of the tigers are are batch from springhill that bloom at different times. When the tigers go it is really a nice scene.

picked up the tigers on the side of the road 100 ft. feet from my house and relocated them here and in front of the house - thought the re-location was done in secret - until a neighbor who works at a local nursery mentioned that she saw me while i was at the check out counter - didn't know what was coming next - then she said it was where she got hers and complemented me on how they looked - whew!

You bet! That's exactly it. Great fire pit! I may get one now that I have a real patio. Thanks for continuing the Shirazz series. How big will it ultimately get?
