Travelling Gnome Game
I"ll go and get Dave today. I saw a bunch other gnomes at another store yesterday, all too big and too much money.
Linda, do you think Dave and Bullwinkle might get an opportunity to attend one of the sunset ceremonies at the Legislative Buildings? Or to have their picture taken...
- At the inner harbour with a nice big ship in the background?
- In front of one of the totem poles in Beacon Hill ParK?
- Having tea at the Empress Hotel?
- Visiting the Royal BC Museum?
I spent many, many hours in those places as a young teenager.
Could be the Parliament Buildings. I live in Beacon Hill in Ottawa - could i take his pic in my local park?
Sure, why not! Maybe we could try to find similar or same named places in multiple locations and try to get pics of them in each :-) Google here I come...
I've been a bit out of this as I've been workin' lots. I'm still in but not sure what/when/how so, by all mean, tell me.
Growin: we're waiting for Bullwinkle to arrive from drivenbonkers, and then Dave and Bullwinkle will start their rounds. He will go from Victoria, to Vancouver, to Edmonton, to Calgary, to Moose Jaw, to several parts of Ontario, and then off to Newfoundland. If you haven't already, please d-mail me your address. There are two of you in Vancouver, so I will send Dave and Bullwinkle to you, and then maybe you can get them to sydney???

Bullwinkle is in the Canada Post postal system, popped him in the mail this morning.
He'll take about 7 or 8 days to travel west....

The four of us are all relatively close with Sandy the farthest west and me the farthest east. Drivenbonkers is the closest to Sandy, I think and Three gardeners is south of Ottawa. We are all probably about an hour's drive of each other or a bit less. Bettypauze is a lot farther west in Ontario as is Erynne. Try plotting all in Google Earth, but for Sandy put White Lake, McNab/Braeside, ON. Otherwise you'll get a totally different location.

Sooo...it's been quiet....did Bullwinkle make it to Victoria yet?
Still waiting for Bullwinkle... I checked the post box today and there's nothing there. Poor Dave the gnome, still in the box riding around all day in this stifling heat we've been having. It was 30.6 today and no breeze.
Tomorrow for Canada day, we are busy cleaning the place we just moved out of. We're not planning on going to any events. Anyone in the Victoria area want to take dave out with you? Dmail me and I"ll check in the morning.

I checked the tracking number thru Canada Post and according to the information provided, Bullwinkle was delivered sometime on Monday the 30th....
perhaps he partied too hearty with Dave on Canada Day?
