Great job Genie - things are looking good!
Progress (?) for daughter's August wedding.
Thanks, Em!
We did have to take out the hostas. They were turning brown. My husband put a clump of white geraniums in each corner. Hopefully, they'll like the sun better.
The hyacinth vines are up, too. Thanks so much for the seeds.
G.
Wow your progress has been quick. I am a beginning gardener and I am amazed!! The arbor and all the hard work on your garden is paying off. Wonderful. I can't wait to see more pictures!!!!!
Thank you, cancholap.
We're pretty happy with the way it's going.
We have had a huge amount of rain for the past month. Way above normal. The garden seems to be taking it well. It's on a hill, so it must drain well. The wedding is less than two weeks away now, and I'm worried that this rainy spell won't stop!
I'll add a couple more pictures. These were taken Aug 1st.
Looking real good genie! Have you tried giving those morning glories a little shot of Bloom Booster? If it doesn't rain (fingers crossed!) that's going to make a beautiful backdrop for the wedding.
Amazing! Are you going to press or dry any of the flowers and leaves to make keepsakes?
Good ideas! Thank you NatureLover and indy!
I will look for the Bloom Buster tomorrow.
And pressing some of the flowers sounds great.
Thanks!
You've done a marvelous job! What are the tall white flowers on the side? They're spectular! Your daughter will have wonderful memories!
Thank you Audrey!
The white flowers are cleome. The one plant has 3 colors of blossoms! I'd never seen them before we found them in a local greenhouse. They will be a staple in my garden from now on.
Just in case you're not familiar with it, Bloom Booster is made by Miracle Grow.
Cleome - they will be with you forever for sure!!
Please post a wedding photo or two if you can - it all looks great.
Thank you everyone!
Now if the rain will just stop! Today it's 50 degrees and seriously overcast. Last night we had heavy thunderstorms.
I will be sure and post wedding photos.
