and lastly, some iris buds.
They are certainly looking better than my iris buds of last year, and it's all thanks to my friends at DG who told me about the rhizomes.

nice pictures Flowerjen.
Never knew what the yellow flower was.

Jen:

The 'Eye of the Tiger' is breath-taking.
I love your Allium. I think ours will be different, as our flower stalks are taller and the 'buds' are longer and thinner than the ones I see in your photo.

I want to remember to count the days that iris blooms, last year it seems it was gone before I knew it.

Thanks Dyane. Some, like Hagley Hybrid, will take half day sun.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Can't believe everyone sleeping in,but when the last posts are 11:00PM seems reasonable.
I cant keep my eyes open after 8.

I hear you. People don't understand why we go to sleep so early. Then they dont understand why we have been awake since??? Today awake at 3 am

There just ate the last of my meatball grinder. Theres lunch.

I've been getting up around 4 a lot recently, once I wake up I have trouble going back to sleep.

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

The hummingbirds and the desire to get my hands dirty in the gardens before Little Miss "M" wakes up gets me up early in the morning - most days. If I've been up until 11 the night before though, it's difficult to crawl out of bed.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

My SIL gets up at 5 by then I'm ready so I do too.
Take a nap around 2 and am in bed by 8 or 9,sucks to be old and still have a working brain.

I'm with you, Jo Ann!!

southern willamette , OR(Zone 7a)

Redchic is sore, very very sore, and tired, etc. so I actually went to bed by 11pm !!! doesn't happen often. ALarm went off at 5am, hit the snooze until 545. Guess that I should've went to bed earlier?! especially since I'm sure my brain won't be working for at least another hour!

Our Davona Pink looks a bit bedraggled this morning. Perhaps it needs just a touch more water.
