Thom ~ thanks for starting a new thread. Mine was getting very slow, too!

Everyone has such beautiful photos to share. Sherrie, I love that rhodie. Mine still hasn't bloomed, although it has some huge buds!!

Love that rose, Thom. Sorry - I normally start a new thread when this hits about 300. It's slow with all the pics. Here is a hosta after the downpour before.

Whoa, that is one very cool close up Iris shot Victor!

Everyone has nice pics, but I'll have to look at them again when I go inside, sitting out with my laptop and a little glare on the screen. I mentioned that I don't have much in bloom yet, but as I am sitting here I count 14 different blooms, so not so bad after all, must be envious of all I don't have.

Thanks, Weeze. That's a nice combo, Deb.

Great pairing Debi.

Is the centaurea from seed, Deb?

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Thanks!
I bought 1 plant last year and have 3 now so they must be reseeding and come true from seed, or I dug it up and moved it leaving some behind as I am forever moving things. I actually ordered the same plant from a bad catalog the year prior and it was not the bicolor - all purple. So when I saw this in bloom at the nursery I picked it up. Purple is my fav color. I actually just moved the columbine closer this spring when I realized the colors matched.
I usually try 1 plant at a time to see if it survives before buying multiples as I have in the past only to have them not perform well. Just takes more time this way.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

well bad news Victor.... my tag from the iris is MIA.... don't know what it is... but i was looking deeper in my files and I picked up a zebra iris collection from michigan bulb... might be a part of that one... looked on the website they no longer carry it

JoAnn, you're not too far from me, your iris is bloomimg and mine are still buds.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks, Allison. I appreciate the effort.

My plain ol' centaurea got HUGE this year - i just cut it back. i totally covet an "Amethyst in the Snow" centaurea, though if it gets that big i don't know where i'd put it!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Just collect the seeds!

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

I've been thinking about you Amy!

Keene, NH(Zone 5a)

i picked the same centaurea up last year too- now blooming- hey- we now have spell check for posts! it doesn't like centaurea- maybe we need a botanically inclined spell checker.. or maybe i'm spelling it wrong..
