Am I in trouble with my brug already? The bottom leaves on the plant have turned yellow and fallen off. I'm thinking maybe I'm not good at this. The 3 babies seem to be all right. I guess I'm not patient enough, I want to see them grow.

Abbisgranma, so glad the rain came your way. Florida has been very dry according to my friends there around Kissamee. (sp?) I usually don't spell that one right.

I was hoping we would hear from AuntB with good news about the GH. Who knows? She may have met people so nice, she just can't get away. Or, if they said no, well, you alway need to ask. Asking never hurt no one.

Samigal, that's probably just tranplant shock. Keep it watered and just wait. I have read many threads that said a plant may lose all of its leaves after transplant, but willl always come back from the roots. I think the new owners go through more stress than the plants . :)) Hang in there, okay? Peg

My cordryline (sp) that got run over and then the storm broke it off, that thing is coming back on its own and looking good. I stressed more than it did, evidently. LOL. Now, really, nite all. I just wanted to give some support, Sami.....

My dats are kinda wilted, but the ground was hard where they were, I didn't get enough root. BUT, it's raining here!!!!^_^, and I watered them earlier tonight, I think they'll make it, if they don't, she has plenty more!

I'm back! LOL!

been working on the arbor all week. I had to move my brug babies to the front yard... I lost one of them "shirleys peach" I think because they were getting too much afternoon sun in this horrible heat wave :o( so I'm not willing to take anymore chances with the others! LOL!
Here they are in their new...temporary home until the walkway is done and the arbor is up....at least they will get some shade in the afternoon.

and the babies... these are the seeds I started from Beckygardener...they sure are slow growers! ugh! lol

One of my new brugs has little buds, hehe, the pink one, saw it tonight, so happy! Clem

tee hee... I was just out in the workshop teasing DH that when the big one comes... that arbor will be the only thing left standing! LOL! and I'll be right there under it! the beams on this thing are HUGE! he is using a 4x4 on each beam, with a 'decorative' 2x6 on each side of it...so really the beams are 8x6!! I'll definitely be hangin out under those beams when the ground starts shaking! LOL!

She has grown since yesterday, still tiny though. I saw more that are forming but If I take a pic, you'll never see them, too little!

Oh Clem... that is soo sweet!!! She looks sooo healthy too! Do you feed the recipe?? and what type light do you have her in?? Mine are a lot more leggy and not near as green....but i have transplanted them 2x since I received them.. I know that hasn't helped.

Hi Beck, good morning! I really do not feed them the recipe, I just use bloom plus weekly. This one in particular is in part sun, part shade. I am going to move her though to full sun today. She is looking lovely! Clemen

Hey hotties, one tired hotty here.

Need your help soon. Some of the hosta people are going to get lists of all the DG members in the flood areas. When this is set up, we need volunteers to d-mail each member, asking if they are okay and if they need any help. If they do not check their d-mail in a certain timeframe, then it will be regularly e-mailed to them through the system.

Hopefully, we will also be able to get something set up to establish a needs help category, so we can see what we can do. All we may be able to offer is support, but I bet that will be appreciated. Down the road, we may be able to offer plants, seeds, etc.

Anyway, think about it and I will let you know as soon as it gets set up and is ready to go.

I can get some stuff together for the people who've lost.. a flood is something I've lgone through, I was only about 3 or 4, but I remember evacuating and being handed from person to person across a creek, water up to their knees.... It was raining pretty hard and I was happy to end up in my Dad's arms. I'll go over there later and see about it.
