Thanks oneanjl! It will be fun to see what the "newbies" can come up with... besides a lot of questions LOL. I have totally fallen in love with some of these brugs (or at least the pixs) but only ordered one so far.

I'll think pink real hard on June 2 and if that does not work, think yellow real hard for me on June 7. We'll get that bloom from two directions :) Peg

My first brug arrived yesterday. It's a Dr. Seuss because everyone seems to think that is the easiest one, so we will see.

I have shredded ...Island girl...daydreams...gold rush... milk and honey.... double peach. These were rooted cuttings. And I got a broken piece from a friend I am trying to root in water that is a peach color. It has the little white things all over it, but no roots, yet.. when do you pot it ?? I am just learning about these jewels, and am sooo excited to receive the rooted cuttings from a very sweet dger!! I potted the cuttings about 2 months ago, and just repotted them today. Couldn't believe all the roots already!

Your welcome! Yup the recipe...fish emulsion...compost....they are very greedy ; }

how soon after re-potting do you start feeding them? I just potted up my cuttings last week in M.G. should I go feed them now?! I've been out there every day trying to talk them into blooming! LOL!

I'm getting excited about the brugs. If she doesn't wait until the 11th at least I learned a few things about them. Trying to get up enough nerve to go and ask a stranger if I can have one of her cuttings. LOL

oneanjl... I hear you.. I am out there no telling how many times a day.. I thought I noticed on Kims pic, that she might have some kind of support dowel up the stalk.. been wondering about that... Been feeding with MG, but think I need to go get the ingredients for the recipe. One girl told me she used half manure and half potting soil ans was her best brug yet!! Loads of blooms.. hmmmm something to think about..

Go for it samigal... I did, and that sweet dger sent me the rooted cuttings, and I was sooo dumb.. I didn't realize she meant ROOTED until I got them... I was like a kid in a candy shop.. I was soo excited!!lol

Sure feed them ..maybe quarter strength til they are settled in. Jaye you can never have to many!
Sami gardeners are friendly folk and most likely to share a cutting or two from there gardens :0)

This is my 2nd time with growing these beauties...still so much to learn. There is no dowel but I have used them when needed. I have used a lot of composted manure this time hope it works!!And I use the recipe too.

Kim... 1/4 strenghth.... of what to what???? I am feeding MG about a heaping teaspoon per gallon... and by settled... what do you mean... ohh I am full of questions, but you seem sooo willing to share your knowledge!!

Becki sounds like what you are using is good.....established is what I meant. I really don't have to much knowledge lol.This past winter I lost a lot of cuttings : ( But by hanging out here I know what went wrong... lots of fantastic DGer's here with great info! And yes sometimes I am a bit of an owl. : )
