A garden in progress...

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

Finally, some pictures so you guys can see what I have been up to... besides cleaning, prunning and planting roses... this year I have a different garden... no sunflowers at all... and plants that have been moved etc...

Hope it will be full of blooms when you guys come in July... now all I have to do next year is plant perenials among the roses....

Hay Kassia, drive on over to Marlboro and do my yard.

Kassia, I posted my thought in the wrong thread last night, but it was that it was a great show, but where is the required rectangular patch of perfect lawn? I can see a glimpse of that elusive green stuff through the trees in your neighbors yard in the last shot. Well, there is always next year. NOT. Patti

Patti, did you get any of that wind yesterday? I lost a rather large plant that got blown off the steps. The pot was smashed to pieces. I was amazed, along with PO because it was a plant we had for years. Because of the fall it broke most of the main branchs.

Chuck, yes it was very windy on Nantucket. Steady blow in the high 20's and gusting in the high 30's at my house. Sorry about your loss. What kind of plant?

I tried to take pictures in all that wind yesterday which was a joke. I needed to as I try to keep up with all my bulbs and we have had so much bad weather that I had not taken pictures in days, well except for the day before, but as I was downloading that huge batch that I had spent a great deal of time taking and editing on Sunday, I somehow managed on deleting the whole batch. grrrrrrrrrr. So I had to try even in the wind. I felt more like a sailor listening for the next lull before snapping the shot.

I lost even a great sex scene of two May flies, I think, mating on my DH arm for a full 5 min. I wanted to have them ID in the bug forum. drat.

Wind has laid down. Out to transplant some old rugosa bushes. Patti

Oh how nice everything is looking Kassia. A lot of work but it sure is paying off for you. I love the stepping stone path and hope your roses fare better than some of mine, now gone. Your containers are going to look lovely when the plants grow up, anything filled with plants can't be bad. Congrats on all your progress so far, you can be very proud. :)

Kassia - your garden is wonderful! Pat Austin was worth the purchase, right?
I'm surprised your iris's are blooming already - mine are still building up for the show.
I have a belated birthday gift for you - and your lovely garden.
