Central Texas Near I-45 Trade List June 8th RU 2nd Thread

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

Charlene.. you don't have to hand me a shovel.. I was a girl scout.. I come prepared

Mibus... which color iris are you looking for?

I am like mama now... NEW BLOOD!! LOL
Tabitha that is for you!! LOL mama said that about me cause I am new also!

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

I know I have white and purple and Mitch gave me some at the last get together and a lady in NM sent me some purple ones so anything really ...the ones my grandma had I have a list of names someplace here on DGLOL

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

Mibus.. I have a lot of light purple and some bronze and yellow. They are all old!! I dug them up because they weren't getting enough sun and haven't bloomed for years!! They are small because of it, but I will bring you some to the RU. I can't guarantee what color you will get...You just can't hardly kill iris though! ( but if I had waited much longer I would have..lol)

Humble, TX

Mibus: They do have little bannanas here in Houston. I don't think you have a long enough season to eat bannanas, but they are a nice tropical looking plant. I will bring you one peach and some yellow Iris. I collect Iris because they remind me of my mother. I don't have any blue ones like she grew, but I bought some at Lowes and maybe they will look the same. The peach ones were dug up by my sister in law at an old homesite.

Hey Sylvia, I would love a Ernest Markham. Look at my list and see if there is anything you want and let me know what you are looking, maybe I can did dig something up for you. I Have a book about chocolate making I'm bringing you. I tried a few times to sit and write directions for you. It's just not something I'm good at. The book will be better.

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

ooooooo.......aaaaahhhhhhhh...Sylvia...nice start to a list ...I think I will sit back and watch first so those that have stuff you may want can trade first as I know I don't have much to offer.

Dallas, TX

Becky, I would love some of your iron cross oxalis pleease. I have been wanting some of that.

Madrid, your trade link is working now. You have your daylily request answered. I will save you a buffy's doll.

Mibus, your trade link is working, so no need to add another one unless you just wanted to.

Charlene

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

Charlene... got you for 3 oxalis... and I have more lol..

have any of you had trouble when you "send" and the type is all over the place and NOT the way you typed it? Wish I knew what causes that...
Also... I had to go back to the old RU thread to edit my haves... is there an easier way someone knows about?

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

oh I didn't' see it listed through the link for the trades..sorry

Hey Beck, if you hit preview first you can see how the type will show in the post.hth

This shindig is getting close, woohoo!

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

Humble, TX

Beck: I'll get you some St. Joseph lilys

Mibus: you don't happen to have another loquat tree? I have wanted one since I tasted a fruit this spring. I waited weeks for the seeds to show signs of sprouting and then forgot where I planted them.

Phyllis

Humble, TX

Phyllis: YEA!!!! I have dearly wanted a loquat.

Madrid.....Got you covered on the Obedient Plant....want about 100??? LOL! I am not certain I will get to come but will bring them if I do. I need to pull up about 300 of the ones I have let get out of control the last few years. I love the long lasting blooms.
Anyone close enough to me is welcome to come pull some for yourselves anytime!

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

Tabathia if the one I have doesn't make it for you I bet we an connect you to RJ that lives down by you in Huston as that is where I got them from to start with....he was going to toss them in his compost and I said no bring them to me I'll find them homes. LOL

And I have to say I just laughed when I really paid attention to your name ...one of my daughters friends is the same name and lives down there .....she works for Baker Hughes/Atlas in Well Link and is getting married in November ...which I know we are invited to it so will be making the trip to Huston in the fall.

Sheila....if I didn't' have to go in and stay at 6 Flags tomorrow I would take ya up and come help ya dig up stuff....but if you are out and have stuff to get rid of you could stop in the parking lot and leave a box or bag on my bus mirror ...I think it is T8 I will be driving from TISD....ROFL

Phyllis

Charlene, do you raise easter egg layers? I may have already asked, can't remember. Or do you know anyone near you who does?

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Cocoa, I have mixed standard layers. I have OE BB red bantams. And last but not least I have buff laced sebrite bantams. I just hatched some mixed guineas. No aracaunas or americanas here. What do you have?

Without looking through everyone's lists again I know someone asked for canna lilies with colorful foilage. I have Phaison Tropicanna canna lilies for them. LMK who needs them. I will bring some extras of these as they multiply like rabbits.

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

that was me *waves hand*

and Beck *waves paper in air* I have 2 recipes...heath bar coffee cake and toffee pecan bars ...*evil grin...thinking should I give them to the highest bidder*...hahahahahaha

Charlene, I'm not sure what we have, I think they're just mutts. They lay really pretty eggs tho. I would like a roo that would pass on that pastel blue and green gene.

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

Mibus.... don't you tempt me with toffee now!! My heart can't stand it.... neither my belly..lol What do you want for the recipes???????????HMMMMMMMM.( speaking in a mean ol' voice!)

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

Well I'm not gonna ask for your first born that's for sure ...hahaha ....

ROFL.......was just joking I was planning on rewriting them better and bringing them along wasn't really thinking of using them as a trade with it just being paper.

I'm excited I just got my website updated and put in 3 pages for a picture journal of how this place looked when we first got here last Aug. and how it is now if anyone wants to take a stroll through my site...
http://www.ladies-of-the-heart.org/Phyllis/

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

mibus... since I am "spayed" lol we will go down in history if you get that first born!! IF you are speaking of kids.... now if you had asked me that some 20 yrs ago I might have given them gladly, in fact PAID you to take them.. but they are grown and really good kids!

You gotta MAKE the recipes for the RU !! I have to try them before I want the recipe... purty PLEASE???

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

hahaha so you were broke and got fixed too uh...LOL and I would never give up my first born she is a keeper..she's my college graduate that became a field engineer....all 3 of mine are gone now youngest being 19...and DH has 3 all over 30 with the youngest here right now getting his feet on the ground again after being laid off.

I'll see if I can find the toffee bits or almond brickle for the toffee bars and I'll have to get 3 heath bars, eggs and sweetened condensed milk so I can make both to bring.

edited to fix my typos LOL

Charleney...... The "lost and wandering" still can't edit her trade list from there....lol.... is there no hope, but to go waaaayyy back and look through 100's of posts to find my poor little ol' trade list??? Yep, I am whinning too....lol
